This number calls at least once a day, sometimes more, they never, ever leave a message. We make all calls go through our answering machine.

2009-01-22 21:49:29 UTCsteve

they called twice, first time we heard it through, did not push buttons.. the second time we pushed 1 and got a live person explaining about low interest loans and needed information.. we spoke very low explaining we needed the loan badly, and was sick,, HAHA. so when she said "can you speak up? i cant hear you" I blew the police wistle in the phone and waited.. the bitch got upset as hell haha.. then we kept them on for an hour with polka music..

To anyone who knows anything about this company, former employees, prospective employees, people taken for money:
I have been investigating this company for months and am very interested in what you all have to say. Please contact me at jbrown.nixon1@yahoo.com. Thank you.

No idea how they do it. Don't know how they alter caller id information.

To all the people who used to (or still do) work for Versadebt, I was wondering...How do they get a number from Florida to show up on the caller id when they call me? I have had so many of these calls, and my mother gets them too. She is 84 years old and has family in Florida so she keeps answering! If the company is in Georgia, why does it show Florida???

2007-09-14 20:24:35 UTCthank you

i'm so glad i found this! i just applied for a job with Versadebt that i saw on CareerBuilder, and just a few minutes later i got an email asking me to call to set up an interview. The fact that they responded so quickly set off a warning flag so i did a search on "Versadebt" and ended up here. thanks to the former employees who posted. i definitely don't want to work at a place like this.

I use to work for this conpany before I realized after and hour something isn't right here! Here is some info please report them! I worked at the Atlanta location: Circle 75 Parkway, Ste A-1225, Atlanta, GA!! They couldn't keep employees, they hire people everyday and it says Versa Debt when you apply online, Debt Safe on the door, and we have to say Account Services!

2007-08-20 18:50:15 UTCPissed in NE

PLEASE talk to the rep., pretend you're interested, and get a customer service number or web site. Use *57 to trace the call. Go to the FCC's web site for a complaint form 1088-C, and file one. You can also SUE THEM for $500 PER CALL - check the FCC web page! And contact your state Attorney General, they can sue also.

I WORKED FOR THE COMPANY CALLED VERSA DEBT AND THE ADDRESS IS 75 CIRCLE PARKWAY MARIETTA GA. THEY ARE A FRAUDULENT COMPANY THIER OFFICE NUMBER IS 678-569-0621. THE PERSON IN CHARGE NAME IS BRITTANY. I HOPE THIS INFORMATION GETS IN THE WRITE HANDS AND SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

2007-08-17 01:43:22 UTCscammed

it is a scam: look at others who said YES to this service
my3cents.com

I was contacted by phone on 7/11/07 and was told I could save $3,000 to $5,000 and get an interest rate reduction to MAYBE 6.9% on my high interest credit cards. When I asked if I could think about it and call back I was told NO. There were a lot of red flags I should have clued into but this guy was REALLY good. He told me there were no out of pocket expenses but $990.00 was charged to my Visa card by Debt Safe not Versa Debt. When I tried to call the number he gave me to call anytime with questions I received the "all circuits are busy" message. I have been sick for days.....

Beware of anyone calling from Versa Debt! I have a feeling I've been scammed in a big way!

I believe everyone who applies for a job on carreerbuilder gets an e-mail to set-up an interview. I applied for a receptionist position but they do not need receptionist. They need "qualifiers" which pays commission only while the receptionist is hourly. So i no longer work there anymore because of their shady business practices. I just saw a listing on CB, it's crazy their turnover rate is outstanding and ridiculous.

2007-08-06 19:48:16 UTCDean

Thankyou to (Frm Employee) for your submission regarding Versadebt corporation and your experience as an employer with that company. I responded to an ad for a office postion with the company located at 4501 Circle 75 Pkwy Se Suite A-1225 Atlanta GA 30339. The ad is listed on careerbuilder.com for administration work with a yearly salary of 38,000 dollars based on experience. The company also list jobs for CSR work with cash saturdays. After submission of my resume I was notified by a Jose Nieves from(jobs@versadebt.com) that I had been selected for an interview and to call (678) 569-0621 to set up an interview time. I am scheduled to go tommorow Aug 7th at 2:30pm. I thought it rather odd that I would be contacted by email for the position and the receptionist that took my call was very unprofessional and almost hung up on me before taking down my name for the interview. After reading your post regarding the company I am going to call today to cancel the interview and let them know the reasons why. I don't wish to work for a company that misleads its employees or takes advantage of elderly individuals. Thank you again for your post.

I get SEVERAL of these calls daily, beginning about 3 weeks ago.I ususally don't answer my phone if a number I don't recognize shows on the CID, but I got so many of these calls that I finally did pick up, but as soon as I did(without even saying hello) the person hung up and they never leave a mssg. on my ansewring service. I've called the number back moments after they've called me and it says the number doesn't exist or something like that. I believe they are using whats called a "Spoof Card" to make the calls. "Spoofing" allows someone to make calls that show up on CID displays with ANY number of their choosing and also has a voice-changing feature. Google "spoofing" and you'll see what I mean if you've never heard of it.

2007-07-26 18:23:01 UTCDB

This is a company selling credit card services.

Thank you! These companies are driving MANY law enforcement agencies absolutly nuts! I appreciate your honesty and any more you want to add would be helpful as well!

The names i saw that may just be a cover up:
1. Account Services
2. First Debt Solutions
3. Debt Safe Inc.*
*(I'm not actually sure about this because i saw a listing on the BBB site, so it may be a d.b.a (doing business as). HINT and it "may" be the actual address/phone # on the BBB site.
atlanta.bbb.org
Navigation:
- Click on File A Complaint
Tab
- Insert the name of the
company #2
see what pops up. To my knowledge EVERYTHING "may" be correct.

Got my check to other day and it said:
VersaDebt Corp

u didn't get it from here with all the new technology. who knows if they can trace the ip info.

I've been getting calls from "Jonathan" (offer for lower int. rates) several times a week for the past few months and I've been registered on the DNC list since July 10, 2003! I pressed "1" finally & "Nancy" picked up but when I asked for her co. name & # she hung up. If this is the same co. of this David Piper, I wish the vultures would find him or the 'gators. Heck, I'd settle for a nasty tick bite that results into some horrid flesh eating drug-resistant strain of bacteria on them.

I'm getting a lot of calls from Florida. From Fort Lauderd, Westgate Resorts, now this one says Naples FL. I didn't bother to answer. From the caller id it looked like a crooked scam like the others.

2007-07-11 19:16:44 UTCFmr Employee

*PLEASE READ*
Elderly adults beware, inform your elderly parents about this because they prey on these people b/c they usually say yes. It’s not a scam, just a services they offer (I believe is stupid unless you are in knee-deep debt) What they do is:
• Ask if you have at least $2,500 in credit card debt and your interest rate has to be above 5%
• They negotiate interest rates with your credit card company & it’s a fixed rate for the life of the card
• They inform us to say there is “no out of pocket expenses” but they charge your card a one time fee of (with your permission) $990.00 just to call your credit card company to lower your interest rate.
• The reason they ask for your card info to “qualify” is to find out if you have $990 to charge in order to “qualify” and if you do Congratulations Mr/Mrs. __________ you have qualified!!!!
•Caller ID numbers are false, they do not accept inbound calls (it says disconnected) so don’t bother. My company was located in GA and they do not tell you the real name of the company. What company would name themselves Account Services (Sounds like the name of the department not company), till this day I have four names of the actual company. I guess I’ll see what it is on the payroll envelope.
None of the information provided is not meant to slander or defame any particular company and none of the information provided is neither false nor misleading and is the truth to the best of my knowledge. This is just to provide information only.
HAVE A GREAT DAY
(forgive my spelling/grammar errors)

2007-07-11 19:09:57 UTCFmr Employee

It was so frustrating working there, they lie about the job description just like they coach you to lie to the people you are calling by using the script. These reps are paid by commission and not hourly so don't expect to speak to any supervisors because time and calls are money. Simply tell the representative REMOVE MY NUMBER FROM YOUR CALLING LOG, provide it and note the date you provided it to them in case you get a call back. It's just like e-mail spam, if you just delete it you'll have more in your inbox the next day but if you unsubscribe from their site they stop after a few days. Hanging up does not help - the automated service just calls you back at a later date.
They basically mislead prospective employees about the content, pay and requirements of the job and that's why I am no longer there and have reported them to the Department of Labor. I applied for a hourly receptionist position and hired me as a receptionist but that was not what I was doing and till this day they have that same job/position up on careerbuilder. Many people do not go there looking for that commission based call center position and the employee turnover rate is astounding. I left on good terms and these are not statements of a disgruntled employee, I was just applaud at how the do not call list/laws does not provide enough protection to consumers.
(Message too long: see below)

2007-07-11 18:29:57 UTCFmr Employee

*PLEASE READ*
I was a former employee of this or a similar company so I know how they operate.
When you go shopping or inside of a department store and they ask you for your phone number (& you provide it), this maybe way companies like this get your phone number. Whether you are on the do not call registry or not (b/c you volunteered this info). This is what I was told while employed there, this may not be fact at all. I did not sign any confidentiality rules paperwork when employee so I believe I can provide what I know.
It is an automated computer services that call you not the actual representatives, so they actually do not have your phone number at all and that is why they ask for it.
On their end on the phone, it actually looks like you were the one that called them instead of the automated service. Option number 2 to remove your number basically does not work so don't waste your time.
The following states have laws that prohibit the use of automated services for telemarketing GA, PA, IN, and others (sorry I forgot). This is why they ask you what state you are located in and if you say "GA" they respond "sorry our services is not available in your state" when in fact they were not supposed to call in the first place. A manager there told me that it is legal because you pressed 1 to speak to a representative.

Message is too long. I will explain more below.

2007-07-11 14:27:08 UTC442088772117

Now this fscker is using this number: 442088772117. I recognized them because it's the same recording when I was called 4 times by (239) 213-1290. These people should be executed and fed to the roaches. It's not like anybody is willing to go with them without knowing the company name.

2007-07-10 00:24:56 UTCScott

I listened to a recorded message bout a free weekend to look at a timeshare or something and then pressed 1 to be connected to an operator so I could ask them who they were and why they were calling someone on the "do not call list." The claimed to be from Orlando andf mentioned the name really fast twice and when I asked for a spelling they hung up on me.

Received calls from this number once a week - so tired of it. Recording about mortgage or credit card. Total Scam. Don't call the number back. Anyone know how to stop them from coming in on my cell phone?

2007-07-09 18:01:35 UTCEvan

I was "spammed" by this number also, they didn't leave a message. I think it's con artists phishing for credit card information or identity information. As an aside, if you do get a message and they give an option to discontinue notification, don't use it. You'll just encourage them to call again, by pressing that you told them you bothered to listen to their sales pitch. Same sort of rule as spam e-mail, never reply to a spammer, all you do is tell them you read their mail.

2007-07-09 17:24:43 UTCBB

No message, trying to call back, I get "the number you have dialed is not in service at this time". Second call from these fools.

2007-07-09 16:48:28 UTCMonica

I received an automated call from "Jonathan" insinuating MY credit card company is offering a discounted rate on my card. I've recieved a call every month for a year. The option to have my number removed doesn't work and if I get the operator and request to be removed they hang up on me. I've reported them to the TN Dept of Consumer Affairs and have traced (*57) with Bellsouth so legal action can be taken after 3 calls.

2007-07-09 15:43:53 UTCKaren

Can't something be done to stop this! Sounds like they have been busy making calls. I just got a call, answered and it hung up.

Alleged to be from "MCS Fincance" in Tacoma, WA.
Sure.
Definitely a phishing scam.
I wish somneone would make "honeypot" fake credit card numbers that we could give out to these creeps that immediately tagged their accounts for forfeiture. How hard would it be?
In the meantime, I am going to string them along with tales of high-limit cards and give them fake numbers.

Remember cards first 4 digits identify what type of card it is so use the first 4 from a real card, just make up the rest!

Try to keep them going as long as possible. It's fun. It's entertaining. It's free!

If everone scammed THEM and tied up their phones with useless info they would wither on the vine.....

And YES, I'm on the Do Not Call list. I'm taking this up with the FCC and Representatives. Clearly the FCC has been ineffective with implementation of DNC list. Laws too weak? Not enough funding/personnel for enforcement? C'mon!

2007-07-07 01:32:29 UTCJames Bond

Same as others have stated. Pre-recorded msg about consumer credit and need to lower interest rates. Cool thing - Press "2" to REMOVE number or Press "1" to talk to agent. At least they are nice enough to give such an option!

Recorded introduction lasted about 35 seconds.

2007-07-07 00:00:17 UTCP

No message when I answered the phone, but I recall reading a while back that this could either be Target or Dell credit services. I called the number back and got the no longer in service recording

I hung up once the "caller" said he was calling about my credit card accts.

I received a call from this company today caller id say 2392131290. I filed a complaint on the national do not call registry.

2007-07-06 18:02:18 UTCLisa

This call came as a prerecorded message saying there was an urgent problem with my credit card. It scared my son who answered the call, but couldn't remember a bank name given. A call to my credit card company showed it to be false.

2007-07-06 16:58:55 UTCLincMad

Cardholder Services has several FCC actions pending against it (see FCC Order DA-07-977A1 (2007)) and is also under investigation in Oklahoma for possible identity theft and wire fraud. The number 239-213-1290 has been disconnected -- it's VERY easy to send fake Caller ID -- various reports place the operation somewhere in southern Florida (area codes 239, 954, etc.).

2007-07-06 16:31:10 UTCMichelle

This guy who finally identified himself as Michael Bergan (sp?), when I questioned what he was selling and if he had my number showing in front of him (so I could make sure he could take it off their list) promptly replied with 'F*** You!' when I said 'excuse me?' he said 'You heard me, F*** You, you're a waste of my time! He stated his company was cardholder services.

2007-07-06 00:28:15 UTCRandy

I get this call several times per week. It always leaves a recorded message on my voice mail about lowering credit card rates, etc. I belive this is a phishing scheme designed to commandeer private credit information. If you ever get a live body on the other end, give them NOTHING and report the call to local law enforcement!

This company has several phone numbers. They make millions of phone calls for anybody willing to pay them for their service.
They don't care if you answer or not, they get paid either way but if they get information from you they get additional commission.
They get lists of phone numbers from various sources, including the company that contracted with them.

Call today at 10:53am from this number. Claimed it was Jonathan from Consumer Services on a voicemail. It was a recording. Press 1 to speak to a customer service rep, press 3 to be removed from the list. We are also on the national do-not-call list. The message claimed it was regarding eligibility for lowering interest rate on credit card account.

As others have said, the phone number is registered to David Piper. I'm commenting mainly to warm people that Florida is the land of spammers and scammers, and any dealings with any "company" in Florida should be undertaken with great caution. Better yet, have nothing to do with them at all. This has been true for years, and my first inkling of it was when I got numerous telemarketing calls from TrendWest Resorts. They called even though I am on the Do Not Call List and even though I asked them to remove my number from their list. I think they have moved their business base to Washington state, but I would never do business with them or any other telephone scammer.

I didn't answer because I didn't know the number on caller ID - I like having his name and number though I think I'll give his number to some places that always ask for other people they can be referred to.

2007-07-03 21:20:30 UTCD.B.

This is a phishing scam from a company claiming to be affiliated with your credit card company (though they won't say the company name). Since the government does not enforce the Do-Not-Call list or the TCPA (which prohibits prerecorded messages), calls like these have become rather common.

2007-07-03 20:25:31 UTCGina

After getting two calls in a row and listening to the recording, I pressed "1" for the representative. I asked:
1) Where are you located A: Florida
2) Do you have a parent company? A: no
3) I asked which account my phone number is affiliated with since they called me - she immediately hung up.

**never give out your info -- make them give it to you if they call you!!

2007-07-03 20:16:49 UTCJim

This is a credit card scam offering to "lower interest rates" on your card balance. They want all kinds of personal information but eventually get around to asking for your credit card number. If they were legit they would all ready have your number. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!! DON'T FALL FOR IT!!

This is the first time I've gotten a call from this number. If I don't recognize it, and it's not in any of my usual area codes, I don't answer. Where do these people get our phone numbers? This is insane. I keep adding these numbers to my contact list so I have the option of having no ringer when they call, so I don't even know until it lists a missed call.

2007-07-02 19:30:48 UTCVA

Automated call from "Rachel at Cardholder Services." Same old unidentifying message where you press 1 to talk to a live rep but they never tell you who they are and what they're calling about.

Recorded message on answering machine giving option of press 1 to talk to an operator or press 3 to discontinue notification for lowering interest rates. Strange

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
