Who Called Us

I am a previous employee of mountain west. FYI they hire mostly teenagers and have buildings everywhere. They just ask for surveys so they don't apply to the dnc list as they are not selling anything but you can say to remove yourself off their list or if you threaten them your red marked. meaning you'll def. never be called again however they are just a bunch of people being paid minimum wage to take a survey. they're legit and most surveys are only 2-10 minutes long. Just thought i'd try to shed some light on this for you.

I too got numerous calls. THIS IS A MARKET RESEARCH FIRM. Unfortunately they are exempt from the Do Not Call laws and lists. You can request that the company take you off of their call list though.

They keep calling my work number and not leaving a msg. Number on CID is 209-205-3017

Caller ID says "Research Center". They call daily, on my caller ID every day after work.

Today I answered the phone. A female voice (not a recording) said "hello?" when I answered the phone. After a couple seconds, she hung up on me without saying anything else.

I just filed a complaint with the Attorney General as I'm on the Do Not Call list.

Have recieved calls from these guys for about 8 straight days at varying times of the evening with the latest call comming in at 8:23pm PST on 12/07.06. I called the mobile number 208.317.3667 that was listed on the web site mwcenter.com in the contact us section. I spoke with Andrew and he said he would take care of it.... I guess I will now wait and see.

Given all of the dial tone anwers I have had from the I would say they are using a "war dialer" which is illegal no matter who your client is.

I asked them to remove me from their list and they hung up, so i also entered their number into the do not call.gov website. If we turn in all of these telemarketers maybe it will stop. donotcall.gov

Called the last two nights on my VoIP phone (I live in Macedonia). Didn't answer the first call. Last night we said, not interested. Oops forgot to demand to be put on the Do Not Call list. Boy, it's been so long since we've had telemarketers calling that we forgot the procedure. I wonder how they got a VoIP number?

I looked up the phone number online & saw the Mounttain west research center. I asked them to remove my number. While the DNC list does not aply to them, they must compley with my wishes to remove ny number from thier database w/in 30 days or it's considered harrassment. I wouls suggest others to do the same

I never pick up unknown numbers, so I let it go to voice mail, they never leave a message, they've tried calling numerous times over the past couple days.

Also recieved a call from this company in the PM to which I did not answer the phone.The answering machine picks up then they in turn hang up and do not leave a message. I do not know how these people got my number to begin with and I am also on the Do Not Call List. I also filed a complaint with donotcall.gov.
This has to stop..Companies should not be allowed to get away with this.

Research Center called ( 209-205-3017 ), said they were conducting a survey on Entertainment, they said they were Research West of Colorado, yet the Area Code looks up to Modesto California, I said "I'm not interested" ,they hung up. Then today, the day after , they call during dinner hour, I didn't answer,they left no message, they called again at 7:20 PM, After they did the spiel about a survey about entertainment again I just hung up, What part of "NO" don't they understand ?

They called last night on 11/19/06. This was a Sunday night. They have called repeatedly last week at various times of the day and night. I got 5 calls from them all in one day. Dinner time was included. I thought they weren't supposed to call before and after a certain time. I am on the "do not call list", which apparently means nothing with all the loopholes as to what is allowed.

ooop. yeah yeah, don't bash me for screwing up above. I see what I did. :-(

Your calls are unwelcome and unwanted.

Future calls to 805-652-2197 will be billed at the rate of $500 per call. The time that your unwanted calls tie up my phone system are costing me business and revenue. Future calls will be logged and recorded and an invoice will be sent to you. Prompt reimbursement is expected. Disregarding these charges, to which you tacitly agree to if your calls continue, will result in your invoices detailing your balance due being forwarded to a collection agency.

Called twice tonight and I don't have caller id. Answered the second one and Talked to somebody who said Mountain West Research Center/2092053017 but said Brigham, UT. Whatever. I told them I was recording their call and they'd be assessed a $10K marketing fee if they call back. The dude on the other end sounded amused. I'm on the DNC and FCC is closed this evening. Will call tomorrow.

I have gotten at least 3 calls a day from these guys for at least the last week. Did not recognize the number so I have not answered the calls. I am on the National Do Not Call registry.

Research Center on caller ID, answered on second ring, nobody there. I am on National Do Not Call list..why am I getting these calls? Anyone know who these idiots are?

Called me on Nov 1st at 2:40 PM EST. Upon answering, the call was disconnected on their end. No one on the line. Caller ID indicated Research Center 209-205-3017.

Called them back and was automatically directed to the Mountain West Research website.

If you see this Research Center on you caller ID, don't bother answering this call.

My hunch is they are engaged in telemarketing and are "testing" the line so they can "sell" the phone number or market it themselves.

Call came at 8:50 p.m. on 10/29/06. Caller ID stated Research Center 209-205-3017. Didn't answer call and no message left. Checked Google and now see this is a problem, hope these calls get stopped soon.

My voice mail picked it up and there is never a msg left. They call over and over again and never leave a msg. There has got to be a way to stop these calls... C'mon, someone help us out! What good is the "No Call" registry when these consant, intrusive calls can keep coming through?

Caller Id showed Research Center (209-205-3017) two evenings in a row btw the 7:30 & 8:30 pm. I answered the 3rd call & asked "who's calling", the person stated "The Loyalty Research Center". I just told the person you are trying to reach is not here at the moment & hung up.

Asked to be removed from call list, and caller hung up. RESEARCH CENTER on the caller ID.

They called on my fax line.
CID said "Research Center". The line answered with fax tones. They didn't leave a fax. Who are these guys?

They called at 11:53 AM on Oct. 21. My machine answered, and they hung up. RESEARCH CENTER on call ID. We are on the Do Not Call List. I assume this is some political survey, to whom the law does not apply. Arrrrg.

They called three consecutive nights (8:40PM / 8:44PM / 8:50PM). Each time I answered on 2nd ring but line was silent. Finally, the caller said she was with "Western Research" doing a home survey. I asked for what reason and for whom and the caller could not provide this information. I ended the call by hanging up on the person.

209-205-3017 is a cell phone number for someone on Verizon.

This organization conducts public opinion surveys. I spoke to them; they were doing a poll for the upcoming election. Pollsters are exempt from the do-not-call list. This one seemed perfectly legit.

Just received a call from this number. No one on the other end. How annoying.

Called at 7pm. Nobody was on the other end of the call. Probably computer generated call and too much lag time before routing to a human. I am on the nat'l don't call list, but they obviously don't care.

I got two calls from this number this week. The caller ID shows RESEARCH CENTER. Both times the other end (was a man) asked to speak to "Ruth". I said wrong number and hung up.

Caller keeps calling twice a night. No onec answers on the other end. Time 7:42 every night then 20 minutes later. Again no one answers.

I got a call from 209-205-3017 at 8:24 p.m. on September 10. The caller I.D. said Research Center. I wasn't home at the time, and the caller didn't leave a message.

I received a call at 8:15PM EST and no one responded. I googled the number and found this site. I'm on the National Do Not Call Database - somebody is in trouble.

Of course there is no way there to phone number so I googled their name and came up with this page: ncpnwmra.org

He got a very angry voicemail. Calling their general line prompts you for like 10 different lines. I'm tempted to leave my message on all 10 voicemails. The phone number is (208) 232-1818

Second call-they leave no way to unsubscribe and I had to google to find a "real" phone number.

The phone rang at 9:00 PM. When I picked up the phone, the person said "This is the Research Center. We'd like to speak to the man of the house." I informed her there wasn't one and they were NEVER to ****** call my house at that time of night again.

They called and when I answered there was silence. I think they called me before, I just didn't *69 it before.

Caller ID says "STOCKTON, CA." I answered on the second ring, and said "hello" several times but received no answer or recording. I eventually hung up. The date of the call was 9/6/06 at 7:56 pm Arizona time.

The Caller ID stated RESEARCH CENTER. 7:57PM MDT on 8/29/2006.

Call came at 7:57PM MDT. When I answered there were merely beeps/tones; I hung up.

They called twice (4:29PM and 5:35PM). Each time I answered on 2nd ring but line was silent for 20 seconds. Later at 7:48PM I got a call from 8004287502 and the caller said he was with "Western Research"
