there not telemarketers they DONT SELL ANYTHING just do surveys.thats why the DNC LIST DOESNT apply to them. SOMETIMES THEY EVEN GIVE STUFF TO U FOR DOING IT.

Just take the survey, half the time you will get an incentive. And trust me, it is legit. I do lots of surveys for these guys. Quit bickering!

I get a call from this number at least a couple times a week. I don't answer. Now I have a fax machine and I sent the call to the fax. Maybe that will stop the calling. Thanks to all who let me know this is a survey company.

Received 6 calls from January 6, 2008 to January 6th, 2008 at various hours of the day and evening. I answered the 3rd call and informed the guy that started talking that I was on the Do-Not-Call (Which aparently our government screwed all of us by allowing these so called 'Research' companies to call us anyway!) the guy on the other end just started laughing and wouldn't say anything. In the background I could hear him making vulgar and rude remarks to his cube mates in the call center. I told him not to call again and to remove my number from their internal call list and hung up. Since then I have received 3 more calls.

Googling this number and company (Bernett Research) reveals that they have done all sorts of things from asking to speak to any woman in the house to even asking to speak to the youngest member of the family! These companies need to be stoped...

They called me late at night and my wife told them to not call back, to place our number on their do not call list. Today, they called me at 7:30 pm and I told them as well. They caled again at 9 pm, and they asked for my wife. When I told them not to call back, they said that until they speak to my wife, that they would call anytime they wanted to, and there is nothing I can do about it.

This number has been calling several times a day for many days with no message and no answer when my husband picks up the phone. We called it back and it is a survey company and have an option for having your phone number removed. Don't know if it works, but we are trying it.

I received a call at 8:55 p.m. on Sunday December 15th asking that I take part in a survey, as it was late and I was on my way to bed I politely responded "No Thank you". The phone was slammed down on my ear. I immediately called back and asked them to remove my number from their list. I hope they call back so I can let them know what I think of them and their employee's.

They called my unlisted number, not on the DNC list. This is extremely rare for us.
Read their website. They operate call centers at 100,000 calls a day for clients, gathering research, direct marketing info and to help taylor advertising for specific campaigns.
Their web site bernett.com says, among other things "...specific Proprietary software allows them to link respondents to company representatives and/or customer service representatives while they are online." THATS NOT GOOD, they can transfer you after you answer.
Note their partners too, they are research and advertising companies.

BTW; My in-law signed up for the DNC list, her phone now rings off the hook with surveys, campaigns and churches doing fund raising, as they now have a good working number YOU gave them. It is also an open invite for 45(?)days during the transition period. Hope it works for you folks.

Did anyone actually read what the Do Not Call List covers? The DNC List does not cover charitable organizations, marketing/survey companies, or companies that you have done prior business with. So if you are getting calls from this particular company (Bernett Research) then the DNC list does not apply to them. However, if you receive a call from them and you tell them to remove your name from their call list and they call back within one year you have the right to sue them. Go to fcc.gov to find out more!!

They have been calling me every day (except weekends) around 8 pm my time(Arizona). When I pick up the phone there is no one there!

I don't know how they get around the "No Call" List, but more and more have found a loophole.

See that the company or the person w/ this number calls several times daily (sometimes from 208-822-8073 as well), and yet the person never leaves a voicemail message. The 208-232-8892 number originates from Pocatello,Idaho and the
208-822-8073 one originates from near Boise on the opposite side of the state.

Got a call from them at 7:25 PM. Answered, but there was no resonse. The line remained open about 20 seconds, then they hung up. I'm getting an awfully lot of these calls lately. Why???

I worked as a telemarketer for almost 5 years (unheard of in the industry)...as late as 1999, if you were on a Do Not Call list, we were not allowed to call you for any reason EVEN SURVEYS. If they are saying they are exempted they are lying. The only exemption I know of is if it is a business you have established a relationship with. Such as your cable company. Even then, most respect the DNC list.

Got a call this morning the guy was niced so I took his survey and he is sending me a dvd to watch (some Sitcom) and they said something about $10 for doing it so cool with me.

We get calls day and night from this company. I have spoken with a "supervisor" and have demanded to be taken off of the calling list. She agreed. The calls continue to come. What can I do?

Repetitive calls with no messages left.

This number 208-232-8892 called 6 times yesterday between 9:15 AM and Noon, while I was at doctor's. They left no messages on the answer machine. They've called twice today, and left no message, so I have blocked the number.

Called at 2:00pm on a Sunday and again at 11:32am the next day, (Monday). Didn't answer either time. We are on the "no call list".

I screen my calls and any number that doesn't specify a company or individual do not get answered and is sent to voice mail. They have so far called twice today, several times yesterdy.

I've been getting calls from this # 208-232-8892. There is usually nobody on the line when I answer.

Here is what I did to stop all these annoying telemarketing and so called "research" calls.

First, I compiled a list of the #s that were calling constantly and were obviously computer generated. Most of the time nobody was on the line when I answered.

Then I bought a professional referee's whistle. Every time someone responded when I said hello I blew the whistle full blast directly into the receiver for at least 10 seconds.

Almost all the calls have stopped. I think I am now on their "no not call" list.

Caller ID said Bernett Research. Went to their website and submitted a Do Not Call request. Their website explains that the official Do Not Call registry only applies to those who are soliciting money, but it also states that they don't wish to disturb anyone by calling them at home. (How touching.) So I sent an email to their CEO explaining that people who register for the list do so to avoid being disturbed by undesired phone calls (i.e., get a clue! It's about the calls, not the money!) The email addresses are listed on the website, so they are likely bogus, but it felt good anyway.

Bernett Research, dude wanted to do a survey and asked if anyone was between 18 and 65. Isn't that almost everybody? Didn't know who he was working for.

Just reported them to the DNC registry and also contacted my state attorney with their information (number-address-business name) about their harrassing calls.

Today, they have called my home 15 times in less than 3 hours never leaving messages and hanging up when I did finally pick up the phone to request they stop harrassing me and my home.

They called and I answered, they asked me some questions about if I had read various magazines. Then they asked me if I would read an issue of Oprah's magazine on a specific day and then they would call the next day and ask what I thought of it.

Has called approximately every 20 minutes today. Remember that by answering these calls, you are letting them know that someone will eventually pick up and they will continue calling. If you ignore long enough, their system will eventually kick your number out as one that has never connected! I know it sucks, and they should NOT be exempt from DNC lists (which are useless anyway), and we should NOT have to opt-out from these things, but... that's the way things are these days.

the company name comes up as barnett as a last name and R as a first initial tricking people into thinking it's an actual person and not a company. They call about 15 times a day 7 days a week even after requesting to be off their call list

i get 10 phone calls from them per day. after looking at this site i decided to answer the phone and they work for bennet research company and they are conducting surveys on news channels. i told them that i didn't want to participate and then i hung up on them. we will see if they call me back again. this site is wonderful thanks for all of the info on these numbers.

I got 9 calls from them on 5/19/07 and another 1 on 5/18/07. In none of which did they leve any message; there was just a hang up signal on my answering machine.

Took call although I usually don't take unknown calls. Female interviewer brusque, not too friendly. I asked her who the survey was being conducted for, and she said "I'm not told that. It would bias the survey."

Survey was boring, nosy, and difficult to see how it would help in "market analysis." Have no idea how they got my number.

Caller ID showed up as Beckett Research. They called twice in the span of an hour. The same woman was on the phone. I crossly told her that I already told her I do not want to do her surveys. Then she asked if there was anyone else in the house who could take a survey. I told her NO!!!! These firms are completely rude and deserve to be treated rudely in return.

Has called for several days, so I got on here and researched it and found this site. It is a research company. I called the number back, and there is, indeed, an option to have your number taken off their list. You have to record a message stating you want to be removed from the list and leave your number, along with the area code. No biggie ;)

Have gotten 30-40 calls from them this week, last night called at 11:30pm. Always says unavailable and when I answer, no one says anything. Harrassing and had me scared to death until I googled the number.

Get lots of messages from this number. Caller ID says "Operations Div." They never leave a message. I sent an e-mail to the link found in one of the responses here and asked them to stop calling me. If they don't, I guess I will be filing *yet another* complaint with the Kentucky Attorney General. I file about 3 a week and I AM on the no call list.

Bernett Research is not in the survey business - they're in the finding people business. They use the 'survey' to casually solicit additional identifying information. It's a clever but highly annoying approach. The 'survey' is tailored to the specific case at hand. Many times, your only crime is having the same name as the person they're looking for. Tell them to stop calling and note the date/time. If they don't stop, file a complaint with your state's attorney general.

called at 8:30 in the evening, didn't recognize, so didnt' answer and no message left, must be telemarketer.

They call several times a week and leave no message

They have called 8 times in the past 2 hours. I am going to try and call block this number.

Bernett Research - they do surveys by phone.

a real researce center would not hang up if you answer. Its a colletion agency trust me.I work for the U.S Gov. Agency

This is another connection for G.C. Services, old # 713-271-3899. They work for a collection agency to establish a time when you are home. to foul them up fax them 24-7 and the line will need a block like the # above. Good luck

I got a few calls, no messages... then tried to call back and the 'mailbox was full' - trying the website now.

Did not leave msg. Will report to the "DoNotCall" list.

I called main head quarters 617-737-4500 and asked for removal from their list also sent email telling them people need to sleep to perform real jobs and they are invading our privacy

I was gone. They never left message. Have caller ID so do not answer if do not recognize caller.

this is once again a reserch company and is above the law...they can pester all they want due to the fact they are not governed by the do not call list the only way is to block the number or send a lawyer letter.

They called, I answered. Said they weren't selling anything, just had a survey and wanted me to watch a video. Said no thank you. They hung up.

Got multiple calls from this number...

David Feucht at the callback number (+1-800-370-5402) is helping get me out of the data base (I hope)

I wish this person would stop calling. I have asked them to stop calling in the past. I am reporting this to my telephone company. 10-21-2006 @ 742 PM.

called on 10-17-06 six times and the last one was 8:45 at night.I asked them to please stop calling me.I have a baby and a 7 year old.I do not have the time.I am very unhappy with this bernett rsrch people.

Suddenly start a couple days ago. Get two to three calls a day from them. I never answer.

Did not answer. Checked on the web and found it was Bernett Research. Went to their website and asked to be added to their do not call list.

The woman who called stated that 'Do Not Call' lists do not apply to them and then hung up on me.

Have received at least 6 calls within the last 24 hours. They don't leave a message...and we don't answer calls to which we are unfamiliar.

thanks to all of your postings, I had more info on this caller! I called their # and there is a message which explains they conduct surveys using randomly generated phone numbers. They give you the option to request to be removed from their list (which can normally take up to 3 business days)

Started receiving calls today from Bernett Research. I have ID Caller and will not answer for any unknown. They called 4 times in a row, really annoying.
