How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.

I'm back to thank Candice for her suggestion. I called 866-246-7196 and it did work to stop the phone calls.
On another blog it mentioned 866-246-1796 for a do not call service for 207-208-8630. I called and was told they are a do not call service for a small number of companies that call consumers that are trying to minimize complaints and save time and effort from not calling someone who does not want to be called. I was tired of these calls so I went ahead last Thursday and gave them the caller's phone number of which she confirmed on the list and she added my phone number to the do not call list. I'm so happy the calls stopped and wanted to share this.

Another crap call. Didn't bother to answer. Got aswering machine but didn't leave message (does that surprise you?). I am considering having my AT&T line disconnected since I receive so many of these interruptions.
Didn't answer. Called the number back; "if you wish to be placed on our do not call list, please press 1 now". I hung up.
wanted to sell a security system
Trying to get your active phone # by ask you to enter do not call list. If you don't do anything, it just hang up.
I answered. The message wanted to place a Security Sign in yard. Option to be placed on Do Not Call by pressing 9....I did that.
hung up.
