Stop calling, I am sick and tired of it. pretty well everyday.

More than likely the caller is the pride of Akron, InfoCision. This is a large volume "commercial fundraiser" for many charities both real and suspect. Charity Navigator has panned AICR since it's nearly as much a for-profit group as the hired call center. The FTC won't pinch shut this DNC loophole, but I know I've seen a staff opinion which frowns on the deployment of a profit-making firm in an exemption category.

This number has repeatedly called here and never says anything. Sometimes they hang up and sometimes nothing. We are in our mid and late 80's and this nuisance should be stopped. It is difficult to get to the phone. Latest call this morning (09-29-2010). I left the line open quite some time with no response and it was never disconnected until I hung up. If this is the American Institute for Cancer Research (ACIR), they are off my list for certain. Such practices should not be tolerated by any reputable outfit. Time of calls varies, including evening.

From reading below, Is this Shanetta Harve a person? Long ago we refused to canvas for Cancer Research as we are too old for such. As my wife actually spoke to them on the phone and she was then post-op which meant nothing to this person, I cannot verify if she spoke with this outfit or this Shanetta., After this refusal the annoying harassing calls began. The call is from the DC area. My wife is a cancer survivor and knows first hand abnout this problem.

Same as others....annoying and constant calls...all times of the day. I have two babies with different sleeping schedules, I have to leave my ringer off all the time now b/c these people won't stop calling! Stop calling us. You are breaking the law.

We have received multiple calls at various times of the day for the last week from this number.

This caller has called the last three days(as many as 3 per day) in a row. the last two came up as Shanetta Harve, the others before came in as AIRC. The earliest call was this morning 8:51 AM, and as late as 8:46 PM. I called this # it was answered (automated)as the American Institute for Cancer Research. I listened to there prompts, you can opt-out on future calls. lets see what happens. By federal law they have 30 days to remove your number from there list. Lets hope for the best

There is never a message--no one is on other end of phone and it is extremely annoying to get these calls at all hours multiple times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blocking the number doesn't help at all.

This HAS to be a scam, because I blocked the number from the last AICR call I got, and they changed their number and disguised the caller ID name. In other words, I don't want you to call, I don't want to talk to you, so you'll find a way to contact me anyway.

Caller ID said Shanetta Harve. Wanted you to solicit for Cancer.

I did back this number to let them know if they call I will report them to the Better Business Bureau. They continue to call, it is harrassment. They call at any hour of the day, any day of the week.

Nothing but Harrassing phone calls. Never leaves messages. I have blocked the calls, but they just call back from another number. I block that number, and they use a third. I have blocked a total of 4 numbers so far, and they continue to call sith a 5th.
