How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Caller ID says Washington DC. I haven't answered but tried calling back and got the autodialer signal.
They call me several times a day!!! It is getting t be soo annoying
I want these calls to stop. I am getting multiple calls daily from the National Organization for Marriage. I'm not interested in taking their survey or the results. I just want to stop the calls. There is no opportunity to opt out or to transfer to a live agent to be removed.
I have received 10 phone calls or so from this person and am on the Do Not Call list.
Keeps calling, leaves a message that they have an important survey for me. I call back, to let them know I am on the DNC, and of course there is no answer.
It's probably easier to just report them, otherwise they'll keep calling.
Call me almost everyday about an important survey and say they will call again.
Automated call to bad mouth an Alabama State Senate democratic candidate. I let voicemail answer the call. The call started by informing me that state senate candidate Laura Hall was advertising on Black radio stations (who cares?) and then proceeded to bad mouth her. Then asked that I vote for Republican Paul Sanford. Called twice today so far.
got this recorded message some garbage about public survey. I am on the Do Not Call list and DNC means just that DO NOT CALL ME. Leave me alone. DNC complaint page here I come. By the way my whistle is ready.
I reported the # to the Do Not Call website. Arrgh. Robo calls.

According to another anti-telmarketer site:

Left message: "This was a public survey call. We may call back later."
Keep getting calls sold something on craigslist and we think they got our number that way. I have registered a complaint with Do Not Call

call received every day, automated pre recorded message indicates "public survey" and asking if I am registered to vote, indicate they will call back, and the message ends. They do not identify who they are, what company they are calling from. I filed a complaint with the Do Not Call registry.
