I DO GET LOT OF CALLS FROM THEM AND I DO NOT HOW TO STOP IT.

I got the call from this number as well. I have traced the number back to the PROVIDER of the lines and have been given a few numbers to contact deeper into their organization. However, as I dig more and more into it they just ignore my requests to resolve the harassing calls.

The company is Paetec Communications. Call them and bug the hell out of them as they are allowing their customers to do to YOU.

The day I made my last comment I was angry with these people that I decided to mess with them. So, evertime they called I pressed one and when I got the rep and he said how can I assist you. I asked what a vehicle was. He said, "How should I know what you';re vehicle is. You have to tell me." I said, "No sir, what is a vehicle. I don't know what it is." He sighed and said, "Wow...you have a nice day mam." And he hung up on me. I was laughing so hard, I couldn't stop myself. People in the office I work at were looking at me like I was insane. It was funny.

Called the number back and received a message. Listened to the whole thing and at the end it said I could be removed from the call list by pressing 1. I did that.

Call the number back and wait for them to answer. Be patient and wait for a ladies voice to say her thing. There will be a dead silence. Wait a and then she will state if you would like to be removed from this solicitation press 1. She will say something else and then you can simply hang up after that.

These people are trash! The girl asked me for the make and model of my car. I said dont you have that info already? You called me. She said well if you give it to me I can better assist you. I asked are you calling me about the car I purchased last year? She then yawned in my ear. I told her not to call back and hung up on her. I called the number back and did the following stated above.

Same message left 4 times now - caller id has been from FL, private caller, and now NJ two times. Pressing 1 to talk w/someone and I demand they remove me from their call list. Jackass 'James' hung up on me before I finished my request.

Number called my cellphone....I didn't answer the phone, but this isn't the first time this number has called my cell.

I work at a real estate office as the Receptionist and in the first 20 minutes of my day, I'm answering at least 15 calls from these people not to mention deleting all of their pointless messages from our answering machine....I"ve called and talked to many people so far and only one actually seemes sympathetic, until I asked for a supervisor's name....They hung up on me. Before he did though, he told me that they have to press a button and hang up and we have top wait to hear the tone signaling that the person hung up. He said that if you get anymore calls through the week hang up on them and after 7 days the calls should stop.... BULLSHIT!!!!!!! These people annoy the hell out of me. If our tech support can't fix it, I'm going to play their game...I've memorized their computerized message and I will repeat it word for word to piss off the people who answer the phone when I dial 1.

How about if we all get together and waste their time the way they are wasting ours?! Press "1" to get a representative on the phone and make up a car! Make it a good one, like a 2009 Lamborghini! Google the top 10 most expensive cars in the world and see how far you can get without spending a dime on a warranty for a fictitious dream car. I have tried every possible option to get rid of these callers! I have about 5 different "auto warranty" places that keep pestering me, even though I am on the DNC list and have asked them to stop and told them that I am on the DNC list and that I am reporting them. At this point it makes more sense to waste their time and use them for cheap entertainment. They have wasted way too much of my time!

These idiots have not only called my number a million times, (I have call display, so I don't answer) but they have also called my 82yr.old mother who has cancer and also has an eye condition called Macular Degeneration, and she can't see who is calling, so she always answers the phone in case it is someone calling her from her family or friends. She obviously hasn't driven for a number of years because of her sight, but they keep calling her and threatening her that her warranty on her car only has days until it expires. She laughs at them and tells them she is blind. They hang up. And if she gets calls asking for contributions, she tells them she is on welfare and is trying to support five kids, they again hang up. I just don't answer the phone if I don't know the number, it is annoying when they call so many times a day, but I have my phone set for only three rings anyway. If someone has something important to say to me, they will leave a message.

Recieved a call ID's as " Warranty Alert" and got a prerecorded message saying this was "the second notice that the Warranty on my new vehicle was about to expire " , and something about a "Special Offer".

I drive a 27 year old Volvo. I hung up.

I called the number listed on my caller ID back. It is used by many different companies, saying I have previously authorized them to call me which is total bulls**t. Claims I can save lots of money on warranties, which is also crap because I don't have anything that would still be under a warranty. My newest electronic device is my computer, which had the warranty expire over a year ago. My NEWEST automobile is a 1995. I also have a 1983 van, 1980 car and a 1979 car. Which of these would still be under warranty??? I am on the DNC but it seems these stupics f**ks don't understand what that means.

years ago when Johnny Carson was hosting the Tonight Show he had a young man on the show who wanted to be a Detroit police officer but he did not meet the height requirement. Johnny suggested that his audience call the home phone of the Detroit Police Chief, apparently it worked because the next night Johnny suggested that his audience should not make any more call to the police chief. My suggestion is to call 202-456-1414 and express our concern that the DNC is a JOKE that needs some teeth. This phone is answered 24/7/365 - by the way it is The White House Switchboard.
If the DNC were fully enforced (maximum penalty $11,000) the 202 calls that had been made when I wrote this would result in $2,222,000 in fines for the US Treasuary - a drop in the bucket when the Stimulus is $787,000,000,000; but every drop helps.

Pressed one and spoke (briefly) with their consultant re their Auto Warranty claim. Hung up when I questioned their understanding of telemarketing rules.

Get this call occasionally. My vehicle warranty is about to expire!!!!!!! I think it probably is; the car is almost ten years old. This is my LAST CHANCE before they close the account. Oh no! Previously I selected the option to be removed from the list. This time I spoke to an agent and told her I was on the do not call list. She said she would take me off their calling list "right away;" I heard a beep and was disconnected. We'll see.

Got a call from this number on 3/6/09. It seems I get 2-3 calls daily from either credit card interest reduction, loan modification, mortgage refinance, etc. I keep asking to be removed from their list but I keep getting calls. And it seems it's daily at the same time EVERY day.

I totally agree with Autobella's comment. I work for a sheet metal company that is next to a telemarketing business. I have never seen such scummy, lowlife dirt bags in one place at one time.

First let me say you don't answer and get into a conversation with them. BUT if a death threat was made....make a time and place to meet. they do not know what you look like. Give the arrangements to the police department of the meeting place and let them meet.

The only people that aciknowledge the do not call are people that respect the do not call list rules and regulations.

How do these people make money?

The calls are obviously bogus. This one had no one on the line when I answered. Other times it was a recording that with an alarming recorded message. The times I waited to press 1 and speak to someone always resulted in them hanging up.

So how do they make money and why do they keep making these diabolical robo-calls? What's in it for them? Does anyone Know?

Heard a man cough right before an automated voice kicked in & began some spiel about my auto warranty expiring. I was prompted to press 1 to speak to a rep, or 2 for something else. I have NO warranty on my 13 year old car.

Funny I don't even own a car... Clicked 1 to pretend extending my warranty, asked the person which company does he work for. Immediately hung up. They call with many different numbers, including 1-866-147-9959.

After reading up on peoples' comments, this is a scammer mass dialing a prerecorded message or trying to get answering machines by coughing to determine if someone is there. They dont care about DNC list.

I called 201-917-7310. The voice recording says that they make calls for several companies who have indicated they have a legal right to call. I certainly did have anything to do with Auto Warranty. They give you a chance to press 1 to remove your phone number, but my guess is that it would just result in more calls. I enter these numbers in my call block, but there are more calls than my block will hold. I thought the DNC list was suppose to prevent these types of calls. Looks to me as though it just provided them with a list of telephone numbers.

Answered, heard cough and pre-recorded message regarding auto warranty.

Call came from Cliffside, New Jersey at 15:07 Hours on 2-19-09. Call not answered and no message left. They'd probably better recheck their records.....both of our cars are over 20 years old. We take care of them, and then they die.

I just got the call while making lunch. I answered and listened to the recording say that my vehicle's warranty was about to expire, that this was their second attempt to contact us, and that I should not be driving around without a warranty blah blah blah...Press two to continue driving without a warranty or press one to speak with a representative. I pressed one (I knew it was fishy, but I wanted to hear what kind of BS they were going to spout) So a woman came on the line Dominique or something like that, (hard to understand..they mutter the name on purpose) So she gave me the whole speil about how the warranty was up and that I should not be driving without one and that I would know that my warranty was up if my car had reached 36,000 miles. I told her that I had a few cars and needed to know just which one she was calling about, and again she said about the mileage. I said so you actually do not know exactly which car this is about, and she said no that this was just a courtesy call about my warranty, so I interjected and said "so what you are telling me is that you actually have no idea whether my warranty is up or not, you have no idea what car it is on or even what car I own? Another words you are a sales call? I think that you should know that I am on the DNC list." She said that she was sorry about that and that she will press a button and I will hear a tone which means that I will be taken off of their call list. HA HA HA yeah right all she did was hang up and I got a Dial Tone. I hope they call back, I am going to report them.

As a business owner in the Pacific NW, I see and hear quite alot of strange shit. On the top of the strange shit list would be the barrage of solicitor calls coming in all my phone lines at 75 a day. When you think about the waste of human time that it requires to complete these calls, it amazes me. What type of person starts these types of businesses and what type of person works for them, well they are one in the same. My guess after listening to all the accents from all areas of the US & the other hired countries, most of these humans have an IQ of 35 at best. That of course does not take into account the proprietors of the company which probably do not measure up much further. Society should build tall concrete fences around the trailer parks that these business owners & employees come from as this would reduce the level of bacterial infestation that these pond scum humans deliver to our beautiful planet. Its only a matter of time before these companies come to a grinding halt….you watch.

The automated voice said that my auto warranty was expiring... when I hit the appropriate number to speak with someone some guy gets on the phone and asks if I would like to renew my warranty. I said that it made no sense I have a 6 month old leased car with a 3 year warranty... he hung up on me immediately. This is a total scam. Warn your friends and neighbors. about this number.

I've heard this phone spam at least 10 times in the past two years. Recently I've taken to 'press 2 to be put on our do not call list': obviously that's a lie.

I own 30 phone numbers. I get 75 solicitations a day. One of the numbers calling is from these dip shits that won't quit calling. This is what our society of marketing wizards has created. A way to casually irritate the general public as well as be deceitful in doing it. I see its coming from the East Coast, that is definately the problem. What a crap hole end of the continent....

Redrock is making money from caller ID lookups done by the carrier. If they are using a free VoIP phone service, they can actually make money by calling you and hanging up. The cough and pause ensure that you stay on long enough for them to get credit by the carrier for a valid call. Regarding the scamming activity that may or may not exist if you accept the call and get connected to an operator, I am guessing that Redrock has a mix of bogus and legitimate businesses piping their call traffic through them. For those who get called over and over, you are a confirmed number that they will receive payment on if you pick up. Best thing to do is ignore these calls, they will eventually take you off their call list knowing you will not pick up, and that they are wasting valuable time by calling you. It is nearly impossible to stop these people.

Paetec is just another call center services coordinator. They're useless and will probably just sell your number to fifty new telemarketers.

These people are bottom feeding scum and are the type of sleazebuckets who are directly responsible for the economic situation we're in now.

I surfed the net for a bit and found out that that phone number (201-917-7304) is carried by Paetec Communications,Inc. located in Cliffside, NJ. Since I, like everyone else, have been unable to reach ANYONE at 201-917-7304, the best thing to do is file a complaint with their carrier:

How can this number be reported? They have called several times in the past few days. After a very urgent message (recorded)that your extended warranty is running out--you are instructed to press one to speak to someone--a male caller asked the year and model of your car--I said 1980 Ford and they promptly hung up. The other time I asked them what company they represented and the male caller hung up.

I just receceived a call and the caller ID showed Auto Warranty. I didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message.

I have an old 94 model car, so I know this isn't legitimate! Isn't there anything that can be done about these scammers! Life is too difficult right now to have to put up with these things!!!

Companies use this number because "you" consented by terms of service ,online contest ,ect. B F S my number is unlisted and on the dont call me schmuck list. I get them ALOT. Bastards.

Called my 88 year old mother at an assisted living home who then called me worried after not sleeping that night and said I needed to take care of it.
These people are total scum and should be shut down. It looks like they are calling numbers are random.
I hooked a caller ID with printer on my mother's phone for proof and when they call again, I will file a complaint with my Attorney General, a complaint with my State Consumer Affairs, File a criminal fraud complaint with my City Police Department, and file a lawsuit in my state. I am not joking.

Left message on my answering machine. "FINAL NOTICE: Warranty ON YOUR VEHICLE is about to expire..." (Did not state a manufacturer or a model year. A REAL car company WOULD.) Just phishing for business. Might have gotten my number from a car dealership or a car salesman.

If you call back and listen to the recording, it explains you have previously "authorized" this call service to contact you through an online survey or other internet confirmation. If you want to be removed from their call list, simply press 1 and you will be removed within 10 business days. The call promised to give me "the best financial advice I'd receive today!" -- What a joke.

RIP OFF!! I answered, someone coughed as in another listing here, then I got a message that my car warranty may be expiring. This is a sales gimmick so just ignore it, hang up on it, or better yet don't answer it. This was on my cellphone which is even worse. DON'T ANSWER. Put them in your blocked listings or do as I do with this type of call and add it to a phone book listing titled DO NOT ANSWER. That way when these people or other people I don't want to talk to call, I just click to ignore and send them to my voicemail to check and erase later.

The answering machine answered the call from this caller and asked the caller to leave a message but the caller refused and hung up.

I just got a call from this number this morning and the caller ID says AUTO WARRANTY.. It rang twice and stopped.. I think what they try to do is have you call them back to established a relationship and loophole the do not call list, so any call back in the future is not in violation that law.
