I received a call from 1-111-111-1111 today 3/19/13 and it was a recording saying they were American Eagle and had job openings in my town and left a number to return the call at 877-tele05 which doesn't even have enough numbers to call someone back. This screams scam to me.

In regard to; The one that stated, "YOU ALL ARE RETARDED NOT ALL 1-111-111-1111 Calls are spam, legit business", is in error as much as the one(s) using the phony number. Regardless of who is reporting the 1-111-111-1111, the wise thing to do is 'hang up', and immediately report the call.
I answered and an animated voice started talking about Senior Citizens. I promptly hung up the phone and there have been no further calls from this number. Three weeks past. :-) The best to all of you, we don't need this invasion of our privacy.

I get plenty of "spam" phone calls, but have never seen this number. twice already today they have called. i "answered" it, aka, let the phone pick up, and listened... it was breaking up and i couldn't entirely hear. this is super annoying... this site is super helpful though, i've used it before and made me feel not so alone with all of these fake phone calls

Got a call from all 1's about 4-5 times today. Someone on the line was speaking to me in another language. I hung up then knowing it was spam and not able to understand the person.

Wow, they really were going nuts in 2008 and 2009. Here it is 12/08/2010 and there are hardly any calls. Actually, I am a day late, the call was yesterday and I don't answer "Unknown" "Unavailable" "Private" or any name I don't know. I even use the man on my answering machine in case someone recognizes my voice. I only got the one call, so far.

I got 2 calls today from this number stating that they were attorneys (from India, by their accents) stating that my social security number has been compromised using an email that has been out of service for a year. They were trying to tell me I made an inquiry about a loan from this particular email address and I was expected to pay it back or my checking account will be wiped out. I told them I was on the National Do Not Call list and they had the audacity to call again within a matter of seconds. I told them that I was reporting them to the PA Attorney General's office for violating my request. They hung up and thankful have not called back again.

I received three calls from this number this week. I didn't pick up on any of them.

I have gotten 2 calls from this number in the last few hours! I wonder if answering and pressing 99999999 repeatedly would scramble thier computer and kick out my number???

Several calls - finally picked up. Surveyor - didn't ask for my participation, just went straight into survey. Objected to some of the questions (I'm trained in writing surveys and it was very biased toward the Democrat agenda) and was given quite a bit of attitude. Finally hung up. If this is actually a survey company, I don't believe it is a legitimate one.

I got a call from this number stating that there were several openings for anyone that may be interested in labor, for lift and other warehouse positions in the area. Press option 1, 2 or 3. I selected option one indicating that I knew of someone who might be interested in applying... It accepted the option and then hung up. I called my son and asked him to call Remedy Staffing back and he did. He was informed that there are over 300 clients waiting for work and that they have no jobs for anyone.

This number has appeared twice on caller ID. I never answer. Now I just block every number that comes in. It's like having a full time job entering all those numbers. Makes me wonder what is going on at the do not call registry ummmm.....

In September of 2007 I got a call from 111-111-1111, and when I answered I heard this really innocent but creepy ringtone, and then they hung up. It really scared the crap out of me. It seemed supernatural, like a scene you would see in a Japanese ghost horror film.

They've been calling about every half-hour, all freaking day/evening. No message, of course.

They call at least 6x's a day. I don't answer it. It says Out of Area on CID with the 1-111-111-1111. I called back and it is a fast busy signal, not being able to connect to anything. Very frustrating.

We get calls constantly at our office from 111-111-1111. We get these calls daily, sometimes 6 or more times. We used to get calls from 000-000-0000, but now it's moved on to 111-111-1111. I guess next I can expect 222-222-2222. This is very annoying, and I can't believe that there is no way to stop it. I know it's just telemarketers. Most of the time we just don't answer, but very seldom we will just to see what happens & it's always dead air.

This person/company calls 4 - 8 times a day. I am tired of getting calls from "UNKNOWN" identity, "UNKNOWN" numbers, or these obviously bogus numbers. IT should be illegal to make such calls to ANYBODY. Period.

It was a survey - they called to ask if I'd decided who I was voting for in the Texas 22nd.

I picked this one up yesterday, and the caller said they were "ADI Research", and had a few questions about the upcoming election. These jerks have been calling me as much as seven times per day.

Calls coming in from "1 (111) 111-111" and "1 (111) 111-1111" have been coming in for several days. I finally answered one and asked who was calling. The woman started into her speil saying she was "Sue from Advantage Research". I asked for her last name and she only said "Sue" again. This call came at 2:55 AM! It was the second time I've received this same call. It was a politcal call, a recording of people talking about healthcare. If your phone service allows you to block calls, block the number!

I just got one of these today that was a political message. I did not take the time to hear it out, but it was already running when I picked it up. Understand, I am registered with Do No Call via FTC and I still got this. Called my cellphone provider and filed it with them as well.
Filled them in and now they are starting a log for this kind of thing.
I can guarantee that if I get any more calls from this kind of number, I am contacting the people that can track them down and make them as miserable as they are making others.

caller id on my cell phone recognized the number as 1-111-111-111 (3 ones(1's)). Voicemail was left and turns out it was my employer Remedy Staffing. The voicemail was a mass message to all employees. Possible that maybe when you do a mass call like that the number shows up unrecognizable?

I was recvg multiple calls from this #, I finally answered, heard a beep tone, hit my fax and it printed out a sales pitch from Affordable health care 1-877-201-3616 is the number to contact them, at the bottom of the fax was a 1-866-851-0812 number to remove yourself from their non-stop harrassing calls, I called the number, followed the instructions and am still receiving calls from the same 1111111111 #.

I got 10 calls from this number, 1-111-111-111 and it has not stopped. It sounds like a fax machine. Please make it stop.

if no one on line, then likely you are a (dropped) target of their dial-ahead switch which makes sure they have enough "live ones" in the queue that their marketing agents don't have to wait for a call to complete when they finish the previous call.

000-000-0000 is actually a fake number used by MULTIPLE ILLEGAL COMPANIES through an internet phone service! Any crook who wishes to remain anonymous (criminals, scammers, spammers, dirty political campaigns, live-phone-number-hunters, etc.) but who don't want to get blocked by people rejecting anonymous calls simply sets their Caller-ID to 000-000-0000. The internet phone companies allow them to do this. DO NOT ANSWER THEIR CALLS, EVER! Anyone using this number is obviously an ILLEGAL BUSINESS who is trying to hide itself. THEY WILL NEVER TELL YOU WHO THEY REALLY ARE, and THEY WILL NOT REMOVE YOUR NAME from any of their lists! In most cases, picking up will CONFIRM TO THE CRIMINALS THAT YOU ARE HOME AND THAT THE LINE IS ANSWERED! That is why they hang up after you answer.
