It is Allied. But this may be good for you! If it is regarding student loan default, their is a new repayment plan via the government as of July 11, 2012!! It is income based. My example is take home wage is $400 weekly, so I pay $35 a month for 9 months and the default status goes away, and the bad credit file with credit agencies will be expunged. Also, penalties will be taken off.
You have to know this is not going away until you die. So if it can change your life for the better, then look into it.

Called at 9:08 CST. If this is a bill collector or solicitor, they are not supposed to call after 9:00

I believe this is Allied Interstate, an infamous debt collector, from Morristown, NJ.

Victim: While I promote litigation for real FDCPA violations, you won't get much payback from Caller ID problems. Debt collectors must in fact *not* reveal very much until they know the alleged debtor is on the line.

Their number appears as 119739441999. The demanded to speak to the individual and when I asked whos calling they gave a name guickly not identifying the company. They began to demand the time the individual will be home, stating that the call is recorded, and click the line went dead! Either way they didn't identify the company, only stating its personal.

It is a felony as of Dec 2010 for a debt collector to call using a false caller ID. It is also a felony for them not to indentify themselves by company name and their real name. They will have to pay for your attorney if you file a law suit against them. You only get a few thousand dollars but it is good way to make some extra money and stop people breaking the law from calling.
