My husband had to add me to his call list during a prison transfer.it said his name and this was a legit call so we would be able to communicate during the transfer.

Prison/jail : it's a scammer
THIS IS HARASSMENT. STOP CALLING!!! I NEED BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU TO HANDLE THIS OR FBI...
Automated message. "Are you the person authorized to make decisions for this phone #? Press 1 for Yes or 2 for No. There is not an "offender " name mentioned or the name of the correctional facility. I just hung up and blocked the number. I started receiving multiple calls with this same message from different numbers.
I got three calls in a row this morning, and they have tried to call over the past few days. So I called the number back and an automated voice said "Are you or anyone in your household age 55 or older? Press 1 for yes, press 2 for no." So I hung up. Spam.
Received an automated call from a company contracted by State Farm Insurance to let me know they will be doing an outside only survey of our property. We just acquired homeowner's insurance with State Farm so this is legit.
I have received the same computer-generated call from this number 3 times in the last 2 days; my husband has received it twice on his phone. Female says an inmate (male voice says "Andrew") wants my number added to his approved list. She then says if I'm the person authorized to accept calls for this number to press 1. I don't do it. She says "your call was not accepted" and hangs up.
I received calls from this phone number at 3:26pm, 4:08, 6:28. 7:26 and 9:05 pm so far today. I tried to connect but most of the recording is in Spanish and allegedly from El Paso County Jail Facility. I have put several criminals in jail but, none in that area so, I look forward to being able to connect and finding out if this is a threat, scam or real criminal so I can write about it. I was all day in jail testifying against criminals that were convicted for various fraudulent schemes. It is my understanding that this call phone number is used by jail mates as prepaid calling facility.
I answered a call from this number and it turned out to be a "complimentary" collect call from my daughter who was in the Otero County Prison Facility located in Chaparral, New Mexico. It allowed me to speak with her for 1 minute at no charge to my cell phone bill. It also gives you the opportunity to set up an account so that the inmate can make future calls to you which you will of course be charged for. I accept the complimentary collect calls, but I have not, and will not give them a credit card number to set up an account. However, I do believe this is a legitamate phone service used by many prison and jails nationwide.
I got the same call from 9722807286 it's coming from David l moss Tulsa ok. My ex z calling from it. It shows sum guys name from DALLAS tx. And this occurred after I put a block on my phone.
I received this call at about midnight Monday night/Tuesday morning on 12/04/2012. My cell phone indentified it as a call from Texas, so I assumed it was a wrong number. But it appears the David L Moss correctional facility in Tulsa, OK was the orginator of the call. It makes no sense to me, but that's what I've discovered. It was indeed a call from jail.
Received 3 (yes 3!) between 1:13am and 1:30am. No one gets calls in the middle of the nite unless it's bad news - did n't recognize the number so ignored - no sooner had the rings from the first call ended when it rang again. realizing the area code was texas, and i have family there thought it might be emergency and answered. call said "free call from Washoe County jail" then it disconnected. then at 1:30 another call. this one left message saying same thing with hang up. Don't answer, get number blocked.
This seemed to be a collect call from prison. I would not recommend accepting it. It was a Dallas number, but said they were calling from a Lubbock prison.
It IS in fact a collect call from prison, but if you stay on the line, you have the choice to accept, reject and if rejected to block all future calls to your number. It also plays the inmates name recorded in their voice so if you don't know them, your choice here is obvious. Also, right after the initial greeting and ident., you are told if you will not be charged for the call. They're tight on who inmates can and cannot call. Sometimes they come in from the area code in Texas as opposed to the local one....No idea why.(I have an incarcerated relative).
Called 8 pm on Jan 19, 2012. It was a collect call from prison. Do not accept.
they want you accept phone call. which hang up on them. I didn't not know who or who he was.. yes crank or telemarket phone call
this was around 6:00 P.M. Saturday, they have call a few time before.
Too many calls from telespammers! There's PCS...ITS...Wireless Calling...Credit services...Support kids...and one even had a name...Bryan Don who is also with the Wireless calling telemarketers... then of course there's the Unknown name or caller which my phone will not accept. I'm sick of these unwanted crooked telemarketers spamming my phones and filling up my caller ID. Stop calling!! Your nothing but pond scum lowlifes. Get a real job.
