It's a complete scam. http://www.phonebusters.com/english/recognizeit_warranty.html

If you have a bit of time on your hands, mess with their heads. Tell them you're interesting, give them a fake name, credit card info, car info etc. Also, keep them on the phone for as long as possible...make a sport out of it! Hit them in the mind...

This number called us 3 times advising that our vehicle warranty is expiring. To speak to a representative press 1. We pressed 1 then after a bit, the phone hung up.

I live in Toronto. Got two calls from them with a message implying my car warranty was up for renewal. (I don't own one). On the 2nd call, I pressed 1 to speak to someone and immediately asked them for information about their business. The woman said she was from 'Warranty Services' but refused to give an address until I answered a few questions. When I refused to give any information and it became obvious I wasn't going to she eventually hung up on me.

I forgot my cell phone on while I was at work. I heard a phone ringing, but by the time I realized it was actually my phone, I had a missed call - I would not have answered anyway if I see a long distance number that I don't recognize - I understand you get charged for the call (shame on our SPs - you don't pay for incoming calls in the Caribbean). I dialed the number from my work phone, but it just had a recording indicating that they may have dialed my number in error! I understand that a DNC list is available for Canada now, so I have registered my cell, my parent's cell and our home number for the registerd DNCL; however, it takes about a month to take effect.

I've received repeated calls from this number each time a message is left (press whatever # to be connected, press 2 to be removed). since I'm never home when they call, I can't press 2 to be removed. Sounds like a scam to me...now they're calling my cell. :(

Got a call from this stupid number on my cell phone. It says something about your vehicle warranty, and ask you to press "1" to talk to representative ... I'm in Toronto (area code 416).

This is a robocall from "Cardmember services". They're war-dialing whole blocks of numbers over the last week trying to sell some credit card. You can press a number to get connected to their call center if you want to rant at a human. However, they generally just hang up on you.
