I received a call yesterday (7/1) from this telephone number and they were asking if I wanted to donate to a Police Association of some sorts. First of all, the phone number they called was my cell phone....how did they get that? I politely told him no, I did not want to make a donation and that this was my cell phone and to remove me from their list. He said OK and hung up on me.

Picked up when they called thinking this was from my bank. The man said he was raising money for the Florida Highway Troopers. I said I do not give out credit card info over the phone. He is mailing the car sticker and a $20 pledge for me to mail a check in. After reading everyone's comments- I'm sure that this is a scam - or the telemarketers will make more money than what is given to the troopers. He did say that this was not a tax exempt donation since the money would go straight to the troopers. Weird!

These losers are forging call-id data. The set it to "Incoming Call" when they harassed me. I am, of course, on the national do not call list.

Fucker called me and hung up. I called him back and told him his mother was getting serviced by me and would he like to have a new father. He got upset so I told him not to flush his toilet tonight or there would be plumbing problems-got him thinking for the first time in his life. Mr. O was pretty pissed and I made him feel that way-for wasting my time with a call about saving flood victims in Kazakstan.

received a call at 12h00, 21/01/10

they called 4 times on this date. I finally entered #1 to speak to a representative and A man named 'Roger' answered with the following statement "are you sure you don't want to hear about our super awesome credit deal"? I unleashed fury upon them, asking politely to be removed from a callers list. They Hung up. Be-forewarned they're cowards.

Got a call at exactly noon PST. After not hearing from these guys for almost eight months, I thought that I'd seen the last of them. I guess that was too optimistic, eh?

Oh well, maybe they'll go away for another eight months. That would be nice. :-)

They told me they could lower my credit card interest rate. I am continually getting calls from these people. I ask them to wait whild I find my credit card statement then go and continue whatever I was doing before I was disturbed by them. Finish eating my lunch and after 10 to 15 minutes, I go back and tell them I have found my Visa and it has a balance of about $6,000.00 (this thrills them). I then ask if they will hold while I find my Master Card statement. This takes another 15 minutes. Don't forget that while I have them on hold, they are not bothering anyone else. When I have held them up for about 1/2 han hour, I let them know what I have done and advise them that this will continue every time they call me.
Once I went out and picked up something at the store and they were still waiting when I returned.
They waste my time.....I waste theirs!

received 24 calls in 3 weeks from this number.
called the carrier: http://www.paetec.com/about-us/contact-us
told reception the problem - she switched me to an outmated message saying there is nothing they can do
called back reception and blasted her. Maybe if everyone did this they would do something about thease scammers.
Then actually found the company responsible: http://www.acceleratedsavings.com/
called accelerated savings at this number 1 888-351-2551 told reception the problem - she hung up.
i then called back about 30 times untill finally got transfered to a "chris" who identified himself as a financial advisor. He said he would try to expedite the number removal from their system. yeah right.
any techie out there who could program a Pc to dial their head office 500 times a day - might get some action.

They called me 5 minutes ago, after another earlier call. They offered to lower my interest rate on my credit card. I hung up, but I called back to have a real "chat" with them. The only option was to opt out, but I hung up again.
Anyone would like a lower rate, right? So, my question is, if they can do it and we want it, why not doing it without asking us?
It's a shame that so many real business are going through such difficult time and people lose their jobs, while scammers like this appear to be immune to the economy downspin.

Played "Intel" theme 3 times, then said something about "press 1 to confirm eligibility for credit discount"... My guess is pressing anything would sign me up for whatever they are selling, likely long distance company. Plainly illegal.

Company offering to lower my interest rates. When I asked where this American company got my information from, I was told from the credit bureau. When I asked which credit bureau because we have three credit bureau in Canada, I was asked if I could benefit from lower interest rates. When I repeated my question as to which credit bureau was giving out my information, I was hung up on.

They called my house # in Canada. I pick-up and press #1 to speak with somebody. The bitch answered and offered me good credit cards rates (heavy background noise - more ppl talking - big calling centre). I said do you know who you speak with and she said give me your name to verify. I said I asked you first tell me who you speak with? I replied because you have no clue, than she said wanna bet? I said sure. She hang-up. My phone # is listed with both do not call lists here in Canada. If there's a scam do you really think they bother to check? Carefull what info's you provide them with.

Filing a complaint on a spoofed number (fake number) will do absolutely no good. It's not like they are going to trace the call and spend all that time investigating thousands of complaints. You need to know the real name of the company who is harrassing you in order for the complaint to be effective. That is one reason why these idiots hang up on you when you ask them for any company information. Do your best to get the information to file the complaint, pretend like you are going to buy then get the information then hang up. Thats the only solid advice I can give.

This is a company called Vehicle Services

1052 S. Cloverleaf Dr. St. Peters, MO 63376. Tel: 636-447-0158. Sales: 866-925-1783. Customer Service: 866-315-1555

They have a legitimate looking website but its all crap cuz in the back they are making spoofed calls, which is illegal, also they hang up when you try and get any pertinent information.

PLEASE file a complaint with the FTC it only takes a few minutes. Also, if you have any spare time, give them a call and waste about 10 minutes of their time. Or just hang up, whatever makes you feel better.
