I'm on the no call list - both the federal and the state. This number called 2 times the same day. Refused to give any information about why they were calling.
I do not have a mortgage with these people...but htey continue to phone me and ask for my name at a different address...
They claim ot e looking for someone wiht my name at a different address. They have been told to not call me becasue I am not the person they are looking for but they only say to check with my phone company...and continue to call....this time, the girl asked if I was registered iwth the DNC list and I told her yes, for as long as the list has existed and with updates... I told them to erase my number.

I too have a mortgage with select portfolio servicing and am up to date. I do not like getting hang on and hang up calls. They can just send a letter. I like to have things in writing.
Similar experience to the others below. Called, said "hold for important message", then nothing. We have a loan with sps that is current.
They've called literally hundreds of times in the last three months; never leave a message, but trip the answering machine each time. Answering phone gets a hangup. How can one stop this harrassment? Do not call lists are ineffective, apparently, and the phone company has been unable to block the call.
Select Portfolio Mortgage Company
calls to my work number (not home or cell phone) no name on caller ID just number. Rings 1-2 times then stops. We also have loan with SPS, but we are current and they have home number as well. No message is left.
I don't know if it will do any good, but I filed a formal complaint with the Do-Not-Call Registry at:https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2.
I have received several call from 904-722-7050 over the past several months with a recorded message to hold for an important message. The message repeats a couple of times, and then the line disconnects. The caller I.D. lists a S.P.S., which other Internet forums identify as Select Portfolio Services, who did purchase my mortgage a couple of years ago. However, my mortgage payment is current and has never been late. Very frustrating.
When I answered, no one would talk. Caller ID reads SPS.
who is this, we wont return the call unless we know who you are.
These jerks rang at 5:41 AM, Pacific Time. The phone rang twice and then stopped, then rang again a minute later. My mother-in-law usually does that so my wife knows it's her calling. Last time she called that early, it was to tell us to turn the TV on because of the 9/11 attack. So my wife picked up on the second ring and whoever was it disconnected. I went back to bed, but *69'ed when I got up.
I don't agree with R J -- we do not have a loan with SPS, so why are they calling? They never leave a message.
It just showed the #, not the caller. When I answered it told me to please hold for an important message. That ticked me off because it said it twice so I hung up. I looked on here and someone else said it was SPS. We DO have a loan with them, so you probably won't get a call from this number unless you are a customer.
