Called me several times asking me to make a payment on a vehicle I had just gotten out of. After they spoke they would put me on hold / transfer me to an automated system. Asking for account information and/or social security...

If it is worth calling me every 5 minutes, don't you think you should leave at least ONE message??? You use MY minutes, and don't say a word. I would like you to stop this behavior!!! Your voice mails are from 1-8 minutes long, and there is NEVER ANYTHING SAID!!!!!!!

Welcome to the world of the typical alleged debtor, Kari. I would say your employer is the exception to the rule of the collection industry. The large volume rogue collectors who get all the sweet deals from major lenders ignore verbal cease-comms and most other parts of FDCPA as Standard Procedure. Have a look at any comments about Brachfeld, CACH, Fred Hanna, GC Services, LVNV, Monarch, NCO, Portfolio Recovery, Van Ru, Weltman, and too many others. Time for my action plug now ...

If you are receiving repeated, misdirected, and/or abusive calls from a third party debt collector, you may find relief in the provisions of the FDCPA, the Federal law which regulates collector behavior and provides a private right of action. It grants you control of how you are contacted, and collectors can be sued for their crimes. You may however soon find that your verbal demands to limit or cease communication, as allowed by the FDCPA, are often ignored. You will have to place the discussion on a paper trail to enforce regulatory compliance. Learn your rights and first response tactics at FTC-dot-gov. See also your state laws for additional support.

Calling for someone who used to sit at my desk and hasn't worked there for over two months, at least twice a day for the past two weeks. I have been answering each call and waiting for someone to pick up the line in order to tell them that this is not a good number for him and have been told three times that they are removing the number as a contact. Calls continue.

Funny thing is, I work for a collection agency though I'm in Accounting (nothing to do with calling debtors). Our call floor would never continue to call a job site if told the debtor doesn't work there. Pretty poor practices.

After getting calls for 4 years now off & on. I can say it is definately Nuvell. They will hound you until you cry. They call if your even one day late. Generally if you do call them back they are rude and not understaning at all.

This number has called my house for the last few weeks asking to speak with different people. Today they asked to speak to an individual when I told them they must have the wrong number they then asked to speak to a different person with a different name. I guess they play luck of the draw and ask to speak to several different people in one call hoping they get the right person one day.

They started calling me a few weeks ago asking for someone I never heard of. Even though I tell them they have the wrong number every time, they won't stop. They are now calling me twice a day. Luckily I talked to Verizon and I can block their number. They are using up my cell minutes and harassing me. They should spend their energy searching for the actual people and verify phone numbers when they give out loans. I hope their is a way to file a complaint with the FCC or whomever is over business and phone practices.

I've been called by these people for about a year and a half (on and off). I tell them they have the wrong number and I don't know the people they're asking for and they tell me they'll "make a note" of it. The next day, I get another call. If I don't answer, however, I'll get another 2-3 calls that day. Is there some legal action that can be taken? I mean, they ARE wasting my time and money... and I'm not even the person they're looking for...

I received two calls from this number and I do not have an auto loan with them. The troubling thing is they have my name and my home number, but they can't look up my account unless I give them my SS#!! I told them I DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH YOUR COMPANY and I would not give them my SS#. I received a call last week and this week. The call is from a call center in the Phillipines. They supposedly transferred me to a manager called Bradford (very southern sounding). Once I explained to him my concern that they were calling me by name and my home number and that I wanted an answer as to why they were calling due to all of the identity theft going on, he said he would transfer me to a # that could help me - NEEDLESS TO SAY, HE HUNG UP AND I WAS DISCONNECTED. I called back and told the worker overseas that if I got one more phone call from them, I would have them investigated!!

They call my home and cell at least 20 times from 8 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. MST. Do not leave a message but maybe once during all the calls. Comes across my ID as a Toll Free number. You would think they would get the hint after 1 day of non answering, but they DO NOT!

Guess what idiots called me again today. Again, fourth time I was told my number would be taken off of thier call list. I told them I'll talk to them again tomorrow when they call. That's the wrong name, I have never financed a car through GMAC or Nuvell. My car has been paid off since February.

They have been harassing me for weeks now. The truly unfortunate thing is that they have my number on file matched to someone defaulting on the car loan. I have explained this to 9 different operators. Similar to the previous comment, the operator hangs up when I explain the number is wrong. I am asking for names and call back numbers every time. Half of the time, they give me a bogus number. I am trying to figure out how to report them. This past time they asked me to verify my first name only and proceeded to explain that a payment was delayed. When I yet agin explained that the number was wrong, they asked me to provide them my address!! I adimantly refused.

Who can we report this to?

NUVELL. my payment was due 3 business days ago and they are calling 7-13 times a day already. what ever happened to grace periods? they are payment vultures, even if you answer the phone when they call "the collection calls may continue" no doubt. I can see calling me if my payment is 10, 15 days late but 3-5 days...bite me.

Yes they are the most annoying company to finance a vehicle through. The call daily, multiple times per day and I get fed up with it. Now they have started calling family members and even my Friend!! This is so embarrassing because i don't know if people believe me when i say it is only 10 days late! I hope so but i probably wouldn't, in order for them to start calling friends and family you would think i was 3 months behind. These numbers they find on the internet I would say because I have not given them permission or numbers to call any of these people. What jerks!

The people they are looking for do not have this phone number I do not know them this needs to stop now. These people have called from 7AM all the way up too 10:30PM and on Saturday as well.

Nuvell hires the most ignorant people. I made a payment and they did not put in my bank account number right and they had the nerve to say I did not have the money in my account which I did. So I had to have my bank call they idiots to explain it to them. Nuvell should at least hire people with IQ's over 80!!

Nuvell / GMAC Finance. They called me and asked when my payment was going to be in. I explained that I had already made my payment, and she then proceeded to tell me that they had indeed received it three days prior, well before the due date. Then she wanted to know if my next months payment was going to be in on time.

I was late ONE TIME about a year ago by four days. ONE TIME! Now I do this every month with these clowns.

This is the automated call system from Nuvell/GMAC. If you are one day late they will harass you at all hours of the day and night and say NOTHING!!! Turn them in to the government. They are violating the law.

I too have a car payment with this company that is due 4 days before payday. I'm not really late, but the day after it's due, they start calling 3-7 times an hour. (One time, it was every 6 minutes.) They are definitely harassing!

This number IS Nuvell. When I received their call because I was over 2 weeks late for my payment, I actually spoke to a "person." She said their customer service folks get a list each day of accounts for which a monthly payment has not been received. According to her, they will call you daily until your name no longer shows up on their daily listing. Even if you've made payment arrangements, they customer service people will still keep calling until your name is actually no longer on this daily list. Good luck!

Receiving calls at least (3) times daily at place of business (government installation). Caller asks to speak with an individual who is not assigned to this phone number. Most of the time when I immediatly identify myself, I just hear 'click' and have been hung up on. Lately I have been trying a different approach by asking for a name, who they are with and reason for call. I have only gotten as far as maybe a first name and the reason being "a personal matter". Would like to get some work done here. Thank you.
