Called and left a message claiming to be Sprint with this as the callback number. Odd thing was they used my ex husband name whom I've never shared an account with. Clearly a phishing scam.
Just called Sprint, using *2. They confirm that the number in question is a valid Sprint number. I had a past due balance and that was the reason for the call.
Received a call regarding my account at Sprint. Caller ID showed call coming from 704-729-7815
but said to call back, (888) 335-6963

Same as the others regarding Spring and fraudulent activity.

I just experienced the same thing. Wrong number referenced on the voicemail left for me as well. Hope these scumbags don’t get anything from anyone.
I received a call from (904)297-3085 saying, "this is sprint calling for ____ regarding a service alert that has been placed on the wireless account ending in ___ to protect your account and to ensure continued service you are required to contact us today at 1-888-335-6963
I received a call from 904-297-3085
saying, "this is sprint calling for ____ regarding a service alert that has been placed on the wireless account ending in ___ to protect your account and to ensure continued service you are required to contact us today at 1-888-335-6963"
Got this phone number as a message from Sprint. FAKE!!!
Called to say service alert on my Sprint account. Not even right account number.
Received a phone call from 774-413-7259
telling me there was a service alert on my Sprint account and to call Sprint at 888-335-6963 which is not a Sprint number. These scammers had my full name and I called Sprint to ask them if they were aware of this scam and they really seemed to care less ! Sprint said all they could do was block the number. How are they getting sprint account information?? Sprint should be looking into this to see if their database was hacked !!!

Message from "sprint" saying to call this number, my account is on service alert. Its a lie. Read other comments. 1-888-335-6963 is the number the msg said to call back too.
Caller ID shows 786-619-1972
, while the Voicemail states that I need to call Sprint at 1-888-335-6963 due to a service alert that has been placed on my account. That I need to reach them to the 1-888-335-6963 number to protect my account and ensure continued service. Contacted the Sprint customer service through Sprint.com They said that 1-888-335-6963 is not a Sprint customer service number. Also, my account is up-to-date and there's not problem. The customer service rep also mentioned that there's no outgoing call in their log from Sprint. Be careful...there lots of scammers and phishing attempts in order to steal your information.
James bond is the scammer. It's a Sprint scam don't give the any info
Sent me a text saying im eligible for student loan forgiveness. Call number because I had a feeling it was a scam....lady said company name is soluvio or something like that....def a scam!!
This number called me also, claiming to be Sprint and left a message regarding a service alert for a number that doesn't belong to me.
Caller ID on my cellphone said this number. Most likely a phishing scam attempt. Recorded electronic voice. The automated machine did have my real name and last four digits of my sprint cell account number. However it left a call back number of 888-335-6963
. Which is a number that has been used for phising attempts in the past according to different sites. If you get a call from this number don't call it back and don't give out any informatoin. Use sprints website to get their real customer service number and call that if you have any questions about your account.
this number has called us twice claiming that a service alert was placed against a phone number that didn't even belong on our account. When I called Sprint they had no idea what it was or how to handle it. I was basically told to ignore it that my account was all up to date and no unusual activity was reported.
message left on my home phone to call this number about my sprint account. Why would sprint call my home number? my sprint account is fine. Message said a hold was on my sprint account. This is a scam to get you to give them your credit card number.
If the bot starts with "To accept, press one, to leave a voice mail, press 2" in a female voice, then it's software from Latitude Software, an Interactive Intelligence company. Based in Florida.
There's an outfit in Aurora, CO named "Virtuoso Sourcing". Incorporated in Florida. They are a debt collection agency (for Sprint) and have been hitting my number with the same "To accept, press one..." robo calls. They've harassed me since early 2010 with robocalls for a person name Daniel Corillo. I finally was able to speak with a Matt Pendergast at Virtuoso--when I finally said I was not Daniel Corillo, he started screaming into the phone and then hung up. Slimeball.
I would not be surprised to learn that the calls from 888-335-6963 and "Virtuoso Sourcing" are related.
Just a hunch.
I received a call, I was out of service. They left a voicemail saying I had an alert put on my account from some Chienese name. The call back number was 1-888-335-6963. I called the Sprint number on my phone, no unusual activity. I asked them about this number, they don't know what it is. My account is paid and up to date.
This is a scam to get information about you and your address and phone, probably for marketing purposes.
I got a call from this number today on my work number. with a similar message below about an alert being placed on my account. I also got a call from this yesterday.
After reading the messages below I checked my account online and realized I forgot to schedule a payment! It had been over 30 days due. This doesn't ever happen to me. I just scheduled the payment to go through tomorrow so hopefully the calls will stop.
Suprised it's a strange automated message.
Said they were "Sprint" and service would be discontinued within 48 hours unless I paid, no amount due mentioned. Then push number to hold to get credit card or check book. They said their number was 1-888-335-6963, caller ID said number is 301-761-4417
. Best of all I do not have Sprint service. I think this is a way to get information for ID theft.
I am a subscriber, but have never gotten a vmail like this one from Sprint. Checking my account now...
Oppsps! I'm almost 2 months past due on my bill! ...thankfully I've been loyal for years and have excellent credit with them.
Just paid past, present and future bills all at once. Seems like a legit reminder.
James Bond May 05th, 2009
called my husband's cell phone and said i had called sprint and put a service alert on his phone. may be a scam
They call several times a day and ask for a person with a name that is not understandable. I tried to speak to a person and was disconnected. I called Sprint and they could not help me.
Automated voice asked to speak to Mr. David Tobias about the Sprint wireless account ending in ... (Nothing is said after this.) The only options are:
If you are David Tobias, please press 1.
If you can get David Tobias to the phone, please press 2.
If you know David Tobias and can take a message, please press 3.
I never keyed in any number. After not detecting a number, the above options were read again. After nothing from me again, the voice asked Mr. David Tobias to call the number back within 15 minutes. No way am I calling to even let them know he doesn't live here.
no id, no message, only ph # showed
Just a number showed, no message left
