Do NOT CALL THIS NUMBER. This is a SCAMMER. Someone is spoofing the sprint number 888-211-4727 and pretending to be sprint.

If it's sprint, you'd think they could figure out how to ID themselves as such when they call.

I just got a voice message from this number. It was SPRINT, wanting me to verify my eligibility for my employee discount with them. I have been with SPRINT for over 15 years and have NEVER had a problem with them. They have always given me good service and handled issues I've had with billing promptly.

The number is Sprint's toll free number. I received a call from this number and did not answer. I then checked voicemail and they left a message and gave me another number to return their call, which I did. The number left on the voicemail was from Sprint's executive offices, I had filed an FCC report against Sprint for some fraud texts on our cell phones in which they removed some but not all of the charges, they were following up on the case and took care of my complaint and the other charges. I have always had great customer service from Sprint.

Someone called saying they were "Sprint" that my account had been flagged for security review and to enter my PIN. This must be a fraud attempt/password fishing! My phone is a verizon cell phone. Danger!!

just found out this phone number is a SPRINT MOBILITY account calling from CLEARWATER, FLORIDA. CALL SPRINT AND REPORT IT. MORE CALLS ABOUT IT, IT WILL STOP. The rep was very friendly.

Calls from this number are typically related to Sprint PCS technical support calls. It's not advertising their service or anything like that. It's typically technicians following up on issues, or trying to track down problems for their customers, etc.

I called Sprint service 888-211-4727 after seeing this number a couple times and finding it here - *2 - say "operator" - I told the rep about it and she happily took me off the direct phone marketing list. If I get more calls you can bet I will post here.

If this is a real tech support call as Joe and Gracey mentioned, then why would they call me? I have no affiliation with Sprint whatsoever.

I have no affiliation with Sprint. They are calling on a Verizon mobile phone with an infrequently-used number that I have had for over two years (and before that seemed to have been in an unused block assigned to Verizon -- so it doesn't seem very likely this is old information). They called twice and left a long message for a name that sounded like "Jeff Lizo" warning about someone trying to get into his account, despite the fact that the voice mail greeting says another (my) name entirely.

This is a callback from Sprint about a technical support issue. It is a real call and NOT a telemarketer (to quote Joe, who is correct).

Got it. After getting up to 4 phone calls a day for Betty Bar**** (garbled name), I think I'm finally off the list.

Here's how:
Call Sprint at 1-800-456-6070 and press 4 (customer service)then don't enter anything when prompted to enter phone number; press 6 (service representative)[you will have to do this step twice]. Ask to be transfered to a "lead representative in the finance department." They can send an email to the correct department to get your number removed from the "automatic dialer" to take effect within "72 business hours."

After being on the phone for about two hours over the past two days trying to get off the list, I made it through the above sequence (to test it for y'all) in under 5 minutes. Well worth the effort if you've also been receiving up to 4 phone calls every day! Good luck!

Tried to call the number back. You must have a Sprint PCS phone number to use the computer system; however, the message gives another phone number. To use THAT system, you need a Sprint PCS phone number!!!! I'll keep searching.

This is the Reply i got from Sprint.

Thank you for contacting Sprint Together with Nextel. I am sorry to hear about the phone calls you have been receiving.

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to block the phone number for you. The best I can suggest if it is not to much for of a hassle for you is to change your Sprint PCS phone number by contacting Customer Care at 1-888-211-4727 from a separate line other then your handheld device.

As well if you are receiving harassing phone calls it would be best to contact your local authorities to see if they are able to have the caller stop.

I do apologize for the inconvenience Sprint Together with Nextel appreciates your business. Have a great day!

all I can say is...I'm disappointed.

Guess what Sprints said even I claimed to change service carrier and report to consumer reports. quote:

Regarding the 866 number, I am sorry for the inconvenience of not being able to block this number, and not being able to trace it. If you would like it traced, you could go to the police station, and they could trace it.

If you would like to cancel, or change numbers please call 1-888-211-4727, they will be more than happy to do this for you.

If their is anything I can do to help make your stay with us maximized, or If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to email me back and I will be more than happy to assist you personally.
