6/26/08-rec'd same call w/$10,000 credit offer....1 to activate. Said I could call them back at 888-864-9519 but the number on the caller was 877-807-4696. Troublesome because they start out by saying it is in response to my application and I had not applied for any credit--makes you thing that someone else is trying to secure credit in your name/identity theft. Very annoying. I did a search on the internet and came across this web page...so here is my update. I also am on the do not call list!

If this is not a criminal enterprise, it's doing a tap dance on the fine line that separates criminality from grossly unethical. They called me on a temporary phone line I am using so I played along for amusement and they try to convince people that they have access to $10,000 and that it was due to an application that the recipient had submitted and was approved. It is the perfect trap for the elderly. Shame on the people affiliated with them and the IXC that delivers their exploitive and deceptive advertisement to the unwitting.

If you call the # back they tell you to press 1 to have your # removed. After you press 1 they tell you that if you press 1 again to have your # removed you won't recieve important calls about pre approved credit. I pressed 1 again and they haven't called since.

They did not ask for any information from me. There were two choices, either I press 1 and I am "approved" for a $10.000 line of credit, or I press 2 and am "Dropped from their list. I pressed 9, then called them back to see what it was about and was answered by the machine with the same two choices. We had not applied for a credit card, and no information was given by either me or the caller on this call, but It scares me that if they have a number to call what else do they have about me?
I have a fraud block on my credit history with all three reporting agencies, so I think I am safe, but who really knows anymore!

IMPORTANT: I visited website callercomplaints.com and learned they have more complaints registered to this phone number than listed on whocall.us. MORE IMPORTANTLY, callercomplaints.com gave an Ameritech Phone number which all major carriers use to cross-reference companies that MANAGE toll free number lists. CALL AMERITECH at 800-337-4194 to find out the SERVICE PROVIDER of the company calling you. In this case, the SERVICE PROVIDER IS EXCEL. I call EXCEL. They would not give me the companies name, but DID OFFER to put me on their do not call list. A side note - if you feel fraud has been committed, contact your local Secret Service office (not the FBI) who handles credit card fraud.

Calls my private cell phone which is on the do not call list over and over. Automated system ask many phishy questions trying to get me to reveal personal financial information. Also get same kinds of calls with same voice and m.o. from 877-807-4696 and 877-890-1291. Last number is from securedloanbyphone.com via domainsbyproxy.com.
It is very unprofessional and suspicious for a financial institution to conduct business by laundering its contact information. No recourse.

These idiots constantly call my phone, I don't answer, sometimes I get a recorded msg. left, most times not. I'm on the National Do Not Call Registry, however, it doesn't seem to help, as they call constantly. I just wish I knew how to get them to quit calling. They call at all hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These idiots call at all hours, the originating number was 877-807-4696, they left a msg. telling me I'd been approved for a $10,000. line of credit, to accept press 1 or call back to 888-864-9519, where you get another voice msg., blah, blah, blah...I didn't answer the original call nor did I call back to the 888 #. I tried the link (http://www.ripoffreport.com)noted in the bottom msg., tried inputting the 888#, but it stated they had no reports on that number. Then it brought me to some pay site, which I promptly closed out of.

received call "Credit Activation Hotline"-advises pre-approved for a guaranteed 10k credit line and a store value visa card.gives option #1 permanantly removed.to get rid of number and option #2 to accept.
Then advises if to pick option #1 to erase phone number #2 which reminds of approval notifications and other important notifications.#2 will allow continued calls for approval notification and important notifications.

These a-holes keep calling my cellphone with this scam and it is definitley not legal. It is NOT a credit offer it is a phishing scam!! The telephone number on the caller ID chages every time they call. The recording also mentioned a website called credittrends.net, and it looks like they use multiple web sites, some expired and some not, with no phone number to call. Here are some of the other numbers they have been using. 877-888-7071; 877-874-2402; 877-882-9396; 877-807-4696.
