It is the number to schedule a pickup for big brother/ big sister organiztion. They are a legitimate "charity", but they are NOT non profit as they claim. Donations ( merchandise) are sold in thrift stores and some (emphasis on "some") of the money goes to people in need. They solicit over the phone and abuse this to ensure they get free merchandise to sell.

I blocked this number , but they have it on a robo-dialing program and it doesnt stop. I told them to remove me, they still call. Registered with DNC...still they call. I now have them blocked and they dont get thru...however my phone records show they are still trying and at a ridiculous rate. Here is my last display of just a single day....

Since they really want something from me...i will allow them to get thru next time and make a donation for pickup. I will give them some worthless trash, clean of any personal info stuff and see if that helps them in leaving me alone. If your getting the same, try giving them plain garbage too.!! I read the drivers arent allowed to open closed bags, so be sure they are tightly tied.

I called back and yes, Big Brother/Big Sister donation center in NJ. You even get their website. I don't even live in NJ! I am posting them on social media that they are making unsolicited calls. I don't care if they are "exempt". I have never ever contacted them, so they should not call me. I am not even in their geographic territory!

First of all, if it is Big Brothers, they are allowed to call because they aren't selling anything. Charities are exempt. However!! This number has called our home every day for the last 4 days an NO ONE EVER SAYS ANYTHING!!!!!! I say hello multiple times but it disconnects and I get that "If you would like to make a call" recording. ARGGGGGGG

Other sites have info that this is Big Brothers of Ocean County, NJ calling for used clothing donations. That being the case why don't they have their org. name on their outgoing caller id? Really sick of these calls.

These are the rules which the DNC site *twice* coaxed you to read and which *you agreed to* when you registered.

See items 28 through 32 in particular.

The magic phrase is NOT ''take me off'', but ''Add this number to your Do Not Call list.''

Caller ID came up with name not provided. Caller claimed to be "Christine" from Big Brothers, Big Sisters Foundation. Stating they would be in the area for a clothing pick up; asked how they had gotten our number since we are on "Do not call list" she said it was random. After I told her to take us off the list, I then looked up the local Big Brothers Big Sisters agency and no answer. Called and left a message with CEO, Laurie's voice mail.
