I called the AICR and requested my phone number to be taken off their calling list. The lady i spoke said she would take care of that for me and to allow up to 48 hours for it to take effect. We will see if they are true to their word. It has gotten so out of hand, that the calls are coming in as early as 8:30 in the morning and when you have an elderly ailing father at home who needs his sleep during the day, that is when the nonsense really needs to stop. My next stop if they do not quit calling will be the federal trade commission if they can help seeing that this is supposedly a legitimate charitable orginization.

How do you get these crack pots to stop calling you ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

AICR is a regular punching bag for Charity Navigator, and practically a for-profit enterprise, itself hiring out for-profit "commercial fundraising" giant InfoCision. See discussion under this number: 901-881-9984

The AHA (American Heart Ass) and the AICR are two of the most disperate organizations for $$. The telemarketers for these groups will call you incessantly. Asking the callers to stop is useless - you must contact the organization directly and tell those folks to remove your name and number from their contact and call lists. Otherwise you phone will continue to ring at all hours everyday.

This number called several times over the past week. Would answer but no one there. Finally got through tonight. Lady said she was from American Cancer Research. She wanted me to volunteer to mail out solicitations. Was nice enough when I said 'no'.

Received call from this number. The caller identified himself as representing American Cancer Research. He wanted me to volunteer to mail out solicitations. I told him I would not volunteer to do anything for anybody who contacted via the telephone and that people were being bombarded by telephone calls from this number where no one answered at the other end.
