This is a company called Vehicle Services

1052 S. Cloverleaf Dr. St. Peters, MO 63376. Tel: 636-447-0158. Sales: 866-925-1783. Customer Service: 866-315-1555

They have a legitimate looking website but its all crap cuz in the back they are making spoofed calls, which is illegal, also they hang up when you try and get any pertinent information.

PLEASE file a complaint with the FTC it only takes a few minutes. Also, if you have any spare time, give them a call and waste about 10 minutes of their time. Or just hang up, whatever makes you feel better.

Same Car Warranty scammers that have called every other day to my cell (which is new and unpublished)
using a previous called from phone # of (810) 742-6219.

Message always left on my cell voice mail (I don't pick up if I don't recognise a ph #).

The problem is...anyone that DOES pick up or replay their voicemail gets charged to listen to this scammmer's message.

I will check back on this site to see if there is any consensus or details on how we can proceed to register
complaints, report them to who should hear about this...AND...sue them ! Thanks all for getting together on this.

P.S. Should we all send something to the address or report their office ph# to FTC? Or send a rash of junk to their fax # ? or...?

A previous post indicated the scam business is:

Calling my cellular and home phone. Trying to use an automated 'pre-screener' from another geographical location to hide. Not this time. This is the company who owns the phone the computer pre-screener switched to when I pressed "1" at the prompting of the automated call. I will get the number and address of the company or individual operating the pre-screener software as soon as I get enough hits on the switch to pull the logs all quiet like. I've had enough of this crap. There's no telling if you are getting called from this same dirt bag. They are trying to change the CID info.

These guys called me I didn't pick up and googled the number and found this page,...They called back and I took the bait, pressed 1 to talk to a sales rep and played along here's the conversation.

Phone Rep: "Hello this is kamir we're looking to extend your cars warranty before it expires."

Me: "Really are you my dealer?"

Kamir: "No we work with your dealer to provide warranty information"

Me: "Which dealer, I have two cars?"

Kamir: "Uh,..I'm not sure it doesn't say here, would you like to extend the warranty on both cars?" (said hopefully)

Me: "Well I have a 1983 Toyota, so I'm pretty sure the warranty is up on it."

Kamir: "Oh that's no problem we also sell extended warranty services for older cars that could save you lots of money on car repairs."

Me: "Oh well that sounds good, I don't need any repairs but I like to be safe!"

Kamir: "Great, can I get your VIN number"

Me: "Sure (I look at my drivers licesnse and make up a new VIN just randomly switching numbers) There ya go"

Kamir: "Great!, let me tell you what I can do for you... let me check my computer here and Oh,..(he sounds mock sad) because your said your car is an older one I have to check with one of the Warranty Experts before I can make you an offer."

Me: "Gosh I hope I qualify!"
I get put on hold and now Butch joins the call.

Butch: "Hi Mr. Banquo, I'm Butch and I'm a Senior Warranty Expert, now Kamir tells me you have an older car that MAY be out of warranty is that correct?

Me: "Yep"

Butch: "And there's nothing wrong with the car right? No engine falling apart, wheels falling off right? Because if I make you a great deal and you just take advantage of us for all those repairs my boss will kill me and I could be open to all kinds of fraud claims!"

Me: "Nope, nothing wrong"

Butch: "Ok I'm willing to make a ONE TIME exception and let you buy our warranty package without sending an inspector to look at your car first, BUT so that I don't get burned and you don't just submit a fraudulent claim I need you to buy our warranty package right now. Can I get your Credit card number please?"

Me: "But where's the warranty, don't I get to read it first?"

Butch: "It's on our website, I'll hold on the phone while you look it up and you can give me your credit card number and I'll start the processing."

Me: "Oh heck I don't have internet at the office (lie) so I can't look at it, can I go home and read it and THEN call you with my credit card number.

Butch: "Sure!! our website is http://vehicleservices.net/"

me: "And your phone number is?"

Butch: "1-866-925-1783"

Feel free to give them a dose of their own medicine,...call and ask what warranty they have, then have someone else call and say they want it cheaper etc... See if they'll warranty your riding camel etc... Let us know how it goes.

I fell for it. Sort of.

This number came up on my cell phone. I answered it before I saw the number.. got the "This is the 2nd notice for car warranty." Now, the weird thing is.. the dealership where I bought my car went out of business a few days ago.. so I was thinking this might have something to do with that... but.. just an ugly coincidence. I gave my name, address, and phone number. Talked to 3 different people.. girl (forget her name, who "verified" my information), Kevin, and Bruce. Kevin directed me to the website www.vehicleservices.net.. told me to disregard the "website under construction" signs. This had scam written all over it, lots of high pressure.. I made note of the number on the website, which is 866-925-1783. This is VSI Vehicle Services, Inc. Apparently a total scam.. I hope I didn't give them too much information. They offered me a full bells and whistles warranty for 7 years on a 7 year old vehicle. I think I've still got a year left on mine.

Jacob was the "floor supervisor" for this call center. He would not give me his phone number or address but said he could give me a warranty for my car. He did say he was in Atlanta, GA. I gave him fake information to get to the warranty specialist.
That company is called "Vehicle Service Inc." out of St Peter, Missouri
their phone number is 866-925-1783 or 866-315-1555
Demand that they have your name removed from the call list or commit to call this company and annoy them the way their telemarketer continues to annoy us! "Butch Jones" is the supervisor there...

These people are rude and deceptive and high pressure. They do not allow me to think about it and call them back and hung up on me. 866-925-1783 is owned by Steven Chapa, a realtor out of St Peters MO. He is the President of the company according to the MO Better business Bureau. http://stlouis.bbb.org/WWWRoot/SitePage.aspx?site=142&id=563c7700-48fb-4763-bb82-65fca5ff8378

OK, so I got this call today, and I pressed 1 to get to an agent. She asked for make, model, year of vehicle. I made up some answers. Then I was transfered to 'Tim' who asked for the milage. I made up a low milage number. Tim said he would try to get me a full coverage warrenty, not just the power train, but he needed to transfer me to someone else. I talked to that person for a minute of two, then was transfered back to Tim. I let him go on and on about how great the warrenty was. It was a sever year/100K mile warrenty for a really low price. After he was done, I asked him a few questions. Tim works for Consumer Direct Warrenty Services (www.cdwsnow.com) out of Redding, Ca. The claims are handled thru SafeChoise (Never herd of either one of them). Tim call back number is 1-866-925-1783. After about 20min on the phone, Tim asked if I was ready to buy. 'No' I said. He was a little peaved. Ask if I just like wasting time. I told him I didn't like being called and told my warrenty was about to expire, and then the company that answers doesn't know anything about what car or warrenty I have. He said "I did not call you". I told him that his company has hired a company that is doing the calling, and maybe they should reconsider using a company that uses such tactics. So, I fought back the only way I could, I wasted as much of his time as possible.

OK, I got info on these car-warranty-expired-scam people, after talking to one of their representatives. They are VSI, Vehicle Services Inc, and their website is

http://vsiwarranty.com.

That website gives their real phone numbers as 636-447-0158, 866-925-1783 (sales) and 866-315-1555 (customer service) The 636 area code would place them in east central Missouri near (but not including) St. Louis, according to Wikipedia.

Their fax number is 636-441-1604.

They sell warranties for the following companies:
Consumer Direct Warranty Services: http://www.consumerdirectwarranty.com/
MBP Network: http://www.mbpnetwork.com/
Consumer Care Direct: http://www.consumercaredirect.com/
Royal: http://www.royaladmin.com/

Computer transferred me to Norma who wouldn't give her last name but wanted to sell auto warranty services. Transferred me to Jason who said he's in St Louis and selling auto warranties for a Redding California-based Warranty Services Company regulated by the California Insurance Commission. He promised to get a quote and ring me back...that was several hours ago and no call. He did give me # 866.925.1783 as his number for me to ring him...haven't tried it. My further research indicates that a Warranty Administration Services Inc. is located in Redding at # 530-246-8280. Perhaps some of you who are frustrated with these calls would ring the Redding company several hundred times daily... :)

Same here "doccora": Pink card marked **FINAL WARRANTY NOTICE** Recall Updates Available. Return address is Vehicle Services 1052 S. Cloverleaf Dr. St. Peters, MO 63376 but is postage paid from Wichita, Kansas. The recepient is a 100 year old friend who hasn't driven -- or owned a vehicle -- in years. He also gets recorded messages almost daily; wonder if they're related?

I didn't answer the call. Same day received postcard to call the same number, wanting me to call this number because my car's factory warranty has expired. Laughed so hard - my car is 16 years old. Postcard return address is Missouri, mailed from Kansas.

This was not a call, but a postcard that is for a vehicle we don't own. It says "This notice is to inform you that your Factory Warranty Has Expired, or is about to expire, depending on your current mileage. Immediate action is required to safeguard yourself from severe repair costs associated with electrical and mechanical failure." Then it says:
"This program IS NOT available to the general public." CALL WITHIN 72 HOURS toll free: 1-866-925-1783. They also ask to have exact miles and vin # ready when you call.
