You guys , it really was ALLSTATE INSURANCE !!!! I was shocked ! I called my local allstate number and they said they tried to reach me . Boy am i shocked . This number is legit , for once !!!
This was actually what it said. It was a reminder of All State Auto insurance.
HAD AN ALERT FOR VM BUT NOTHING ONLY A HUNG UP
Scam! We don't have all state
The Only Response Alex Copeland Makes To Every Kind Of Call In This Asinine Capitalized Text Style Is To ''Always Answer'' -- Even Though Many Telemarketers Are Paid For A Completed Call. If Call Centers Were That Concerned About Their Telco Bills They Would Not Consider The Phone An Ideal Instrument To Get Them Paid More.
More notes on Copeland's dubious advice are found here from August 2011:

The Only Way To Stop These Kinds Of Calls Is To Make Them Pay. Always Answer - They Have To Pay For Completed Call. Keep Them Talking As Long As Possible With Fake Info So They Have To Pay More.

Said they were Allstate and had road side assistance for an extra dollar and something a month. When they asked me for a credit card number, I said my wife and I would go through our Allstate agent, and they said goodbye.
Bryan from ME Feb 18th, 2012
Scam. This is not really Allstate. I called my agent and confirmed, this has been an issue in the past with these types of scams.
Unknown - disconnected when i tried to answer
Caller did not leave a message
Allstate, called about my policy.
It's definitely allstate. The CC I had on file lapsed, so my bill didn't pay this month. It's definitely late and the calls stopped as soon as I paid it online. Not a scam.
I just got a call on my work cell phone. I decided to check this website before calling back. I don't think I will call the number back. Thanks for the posts.
Scroll down and see Bill Geddes comment!!!
This number called me three times in two days, the third time leaving me a message. The message stated my last name, then told me to call a different number, and enter the 6 digit number when prompted. (in my voicemail, they had left a 6 digit #) and told me to do it by Feb 14th. They didn't once identify who they were. Since this website tells me it's allstate I will call my local office and ask them what this is about. I'm less than ecstatic that Allstate would call me without identifying themselves.
I revieved a call at 9:03 am. Caller ID said: Toll Free Call 866-723-8365
. Voice Mail said they were All State. I am very happy with my provider. I will add posted number to my blocked list
It asked me to press '1' for English. I did and it hung up on me.
keep getting called - nusiance calls
my accounts are current
This is definitely a scam. I called my All State Agent after reciving one of these bogus voicemails and asked if they could verify for me that I was current on my Homeowner's and Auto Insurance, sure enough I was good but I keep getting these damn phone calls!
The call is from Allstate Ins. Co., it's legitimate. It was my reminder call that our home owners insurance payment was due; I was suspicious at first because the amount stated by the automated phone call was no where near what our yearly payment is, but when I checked online the amount stated by the automated message was the amount due for "a monthly payment amount" if we chose to only pay monthly.
This is definitely a scam. The recording identified itself as "Allstate Renters' Insurance". I am not a renter. It asked me to press '1' for English. It then said goodbye.
Allstate courtesy reminder that your bill is close to being past due, or is past due, so that you can make sure your insurance coverage doesn't lapse.
Claims Department from allstate as well, got into a car accident and they call to check up on you and see about any paperwork that they need..
18667238375 said they were allstate and wanted me to pay a late bill. I think this was a bogus allstate insurance late payment request. it was an automated call. they asked for my credit card number. I looked their phone number up and came across this site. they said i owed 167.22 and thats way over what i normally pay. i believe this is a scam. I pay on time and have no bills as of yet.
This number called me today and I called back. Said it was Allstate, they wanted my zip code and phone number that they called. I do have insurance with Allstate, but the times I have been late they have sent me a letter telling me I am past due and the date I need to pay. I'm not sure what this is, but I think it's a scam.
I received a call from this number today, weird because all the posts I'm reading on here say it's from AllState Insurance. I don't EVEN have insurance with them, AT ALL. My insurance is through Geico!
left a recording in spanish
I dont even use Allstate insurance.
This is a Scam! Don't fall for it.
They called me twice today and the robot told me I owed around $140 and I don't ever have auto insurance with Allstate. I hope these losers are shut down soon.
they called me 4 times the dame day yeah every 2 hours as early as 903am and they do say that Spanish stuff, no wonder I didn't understand the message. not that any of these people can speak clearly anyway. we do have Allstate, just switched from Progressive, but thankyou now I know not the answer, as it is the Fake allstate.
After reading this, I think this is Allstate calling to tell me that I need to pay my bill. Their system is always a little slow to recognize payments, and I paid three days late last time on top of that. I did not answer, but the explanation makes sense to me. I would not provide billing information to an unsolicited caller, but it makes sense that it would be the real Allstate.
From Allstate. Said I owed something of the order of $198 and change. No option to talk to an operator. Called thier quotes people, told them I did not have any allstate policies, they transferred me and told me that someone else had my number as thier only contact number. Said they would fix the problem.
We have had two calls from this number today, since the caller id showed 'not provided' I did not answer. When the machine picked up, it was an automated voice that stated it was Allstate calling about our account. We do not have Allstate insurace; never had.
yes it is allstate calling to remind you to pay your bill in order to avoid a cancellation notice being mailed out..
I don't answer phone numbers I don't recognize. They have called twice with no message.
All state if this is real. You will lose me as a client.
sick and tired May 12th, 2009
I have received 3 phone calls from this number today alone. The third phone call they left me a voice mail saying to call 1-866-377-4122
by April 19th and then enter the code 590001.
WHY IS THE DEADLINE ON A SUNDAY?!
This is not Allstate, it is a scam. Not to mention the woman's voice in the automated message is kind of creepy too.

All-State Ins. twice in two days message is a hang-up
This was an automated system from Allstate - call them back at 866-822-8769
to have them put you on the do not call list! They called me at 6:30am on Saturday!!!!! Thanks a lot Allstate.
Definitely a "phishing" or "collection fraud" call.
Just got a call from one of my customers who received same, and was directed to call back to 1-866-377-4122
, and then dial 471214.
NOT ANYTHING LIKE ALLSTATE's SYSTEM
We do have an automated system that makes payment reminder calls, but they are VERY clear and easy to understand.
Wil Allstate's calls there is no option to "hold for payment options."
We have a system where the CUSTOMER must enter the policy number along with identifying information before any payment will be accepted...

Their caller ID shows TOLL FREE and number 866-723-8375. Verbally the automated system says Allstate. I hung up. Dialed it back. Again they verbally id as Allstate. No option for an operator. There was option for get last message to you, enter your tel number. I used that, and it said I owed about $160. I am not a cust of theirs and never done biz with them. Found from "another source" main tel for Allstate as 1-800-ALLSTATE. Dialed it. Got person in NON-US country, she transferred me to Corp in Georgia. I gave my tel number and they said it was showing for "another customer" of Allstate's and I said I had this number about a year, listed to me they could confirm with Directory Assistance too, they said they would fix so I wouldn't get calls. Apparently they do not verify or confirm tel numbers of their clients and as such their "reminder system dialer" is flawed and causes nuisance calls to people on do not call registry. Filed a complaint with do not call registry on the 866 number this date.
Received the robo-call from 866-723-8375. Tried calling it. Blind. Googled Allstate & called 866-908-3500
. pressed numbers for quotes until I got a human (Zero doesn't work like most auto-attendants) Told him I was on the do not call list & that my next call was to the Attorney General. Immediately transferred to a guy who looked it up & admitted I was on the list & apologized profusely. Said he was taking my number off the list.
i didnt recognize the number so i let it go to voicemail. then all i got was the end of a recorded message- 'para espanol a numero dos'... they called back every 2 hours!!
this number called saying i owe $315.85 i called my agent the next day and they said my account is paid in full. scam??
They never leave a message. We are with Allstate but when I called my local office they were unaware of calls being made to us.
This generally is a courtesy call if your billing date is approaching/Past due. Gives options to make payments over phone, how to make payment, or to report payment already made (to cease calls).

It's Allstate Insurance calling to sell more products.
