When you call a TMC number, a recorded female voice says "thank you for calling back... If you are not interested in receiving any future calls regarding our special promotions, and would like to be placed on our do not call list, please press one now...." etc...

If you press "one" to get off their list, you get even more calls. If you press 2 to speak to a person, they hang up on you. TMC facilitates crime and fraud and illegal autodialing and DNC violations. They claim to just sell phone numbers and a do-not-call compliance system to their clients, but make no effort to ensure that their customers' telemarketing schemes comply with the law. They know that their customers illegally autodial people and never remove people from call lists; they know that their customers pitch scams like illegal advance fee frauds and fake refinancing and credit improvement services, attack senior citizens and other vulnerable adults, and engage in crime. Called Telephone Management Corporation at 1-866-708-0401. It is one of their clients (off-shore) that is not honoring the Do Not Call. Spoke to a gentleman who said he would place a "Do Not Call" demand on my number . . . of course, if this works, it will only be for this one number.

Call the 866 toll-free number at the end of this message and POLITELY ask to have these calls stopped. I did, was forwarded to a fellow who's responsible for Citistream's clients (which is the actual caller, not Citistream). He asked for the 402 number, my number, and assured me he'd handle it.

According to another web page, this number belongs to Citistream Communications. Here is their contact info.

Have AT&T service in Texas. I have this number on my phone I did not answer, didn't know the number. I then called 1-866-708-0401 and this is what they told me. I spoke with David the compliance officer and he said he will notify their client and have my number removed within 24 hours...YEAHHHH

I've been getting these harassing phone calls about a car warranty as well. When I answer the call and ask anything about the firm they hang up on me. When I call back and hit 1 to be put on the DNC list the line disconnects.

Thanks to the research here I was able to call Digitcom, the company who owns the line that called me today 562-223-8870.

When I called TM Caller ID I asked for Trey Hernandez and explained the calls I'd been getting. I didn't realize yet I was speaking with Trey and he didn't identify himself as Trey. He transfereed me to David Nelson - david@tmcallerid.com and says that David handles complaints. I tried to reach David repeatedly and have ended up in his voicemail every time.

I did leave my complaint in the general voicemail box at TM Caller ID as well.

Since the other company contacts were listed on this thread I searched each of them on Whitepages.com and tried to reach anyone from TM Caller ID who would speak with me and help me.

Unable to answer at time of call. Voice mail was automated and hung up after 5 seconds. Returned call and received unavailable message for phone number. This sounds like a scam. Check the internet and you will find there are more (alot) phone numbers similar to this that fit the same criteria. Citistream Communications phone number 402-202-4757 is Verizon and is disconnected. Number 402-345-0317 answers as a fax # (on the weekends).
A comment made on a Telemarketing and Call Center Web site is as follows: ....If you believe you have received an unwanted solicitation from a phone number assigned to a Citistream customer you are to call a Customer Compliance Specialist. Citistream holds their clients to the highest standards and will quickly resolve your complaints. Call 1-866-708-0401.

If you call their service provider, Telephone Management (1-866-708-0401) they will take your numbers and you will stop receiving these calls. If enough people call and complain, Telephone Management will drop them as a customer. I haven't received one call from them since I did this over two weeks ago.

This is a customer of Citistream Communications in Nebraska. You can reach the company to complain at 1-866-708-0401. The FTC has been notified and is well aware of the problem.

Found out 402-982-0601 are being used by a telemarketing firm. Tele-marketing firm is a customer of a carrier based in the Midwest. Any complaints on telephone numbers starting with 402-982-0679 should be addressed to the telemarketing compliance number 1-866-708-0401 to record a complaint. They seem to take care of any complains on the telemarketing calls.

I'm also tired of these calls. Here's what I did. reverse lookup showed Level 3 Communications as the provider. This is incorrect. Spoke to a fraud technician there who looked up the number and said that Paetec owns the number. Spoke to a fraud technician at Paetec who confirmed they own it, but that the number is sold to a wholesaler, Telephone Management. If you call Telephone Management (1-866-708-0401) they will take your numbers and you will stop receiving these calls. If enough people call and complain, Telephone Management will drop them as a customer.

"This is your leading satellite TV provider". I called the 866-708-0401 given below after filing a DNC complaint. A very helpful guy named David took my call, verified that I am on the DNC list, took my home & cell numbers, told me my number was now on his firm's Blacklist for all their clients, & told me to ask for him personally if they ever call back.
BTW, no joy on the *60 thing. Not available. Nice idea, though

A search through Google gives his home number as: 503-622-5656. Why don't we all give Mr. Accuardi a call and let him know how much we enjoy the phone calls to our house? Isn't the internet wonderful?

I'm getting calls from these numbers NONSTOP! Calls are coming from: 619-801-8143 & 619-801-8144. It's the SAME Scammers as 626-273-8240 and the calls are coming in at all hours of the day and night on both my home phone and my cell phone! For whatever reason, these numbers cannot seem to be blocked...

It's possibly a spoofed number though, as many of the calls from this area in Cali are actually being bounced out of India & the Phillipines through a system similar to Skype. Oh, and don't believe for a second that your Land or Cell Phone Provider can't track it back to it's ACTUAL location. That's pure B.S.! They can and will! It's just a matter of if they really want to be bothered with it & how much you pressure them to do it. Threats of legal action against them rarely work, but getting the Credit Card companies directly involved, as well as filing an actual complaint & actually seeking legal actions seems to work wonders to get them to get off their a**es to trace it back to it's place of origin.

I have since saved 619-801-8143, 619-801-8144 & 626-273-8240 into my phone as TM#-DoNotAnswer with a SILENT ring tone for them so I won't get woken up at 4 AM by these stupid scammer calls. I suggest others do the same for TM numbers, if your phone has the capabilities.

In what I've read so far on this website and other places in regards to these numbers, it seems to be attempted credit card fraud scam, and trying to get as much information as you can from these scammers to report it is very necessary.

I would really like to know how they obtained my name, address, phone numbers and the last 4 digits of my DEBIT card number, as I would love to sue the company that sold said information to them.

Let them know what's happening and to place a fraud alert on your credit report. Once you place the Fraud Alert on your file, you're entitled to one FREE copy of your credit report from each of the three consumer reporting companies immediately, regardless of whether you just received your Free one for this year or not! Do NOT Pay. If they insist on money, report them directly to the FTC for attempted fraud. In the event that one of your Credit Card or Debit Card accounts shows any type of fraud, have them close the account immediately and issue you a new card and account number.

Sooner or later, if enough people complain and/or sue over these type of scams, the companies will have no choice but to act or risk losing all of their customers.

Since these types of calls have continued, I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB against all said companies involved, as well as contacting the FTC, FCC, and the Attorney General in each state to file formal complaints immediately.

Here is what I've found out about this telemarketer:

1. It is a robo call - so pressing 1 to answer may not get you to a human

2. If you call them back you get an automated message asking you to press a number to have your telephone added to their do not call list and that it will take 72 hours

3. But doing this may not stop the calls

4. The number 619-801-8188 is carried by www.digitcom.net

5. They've apparently been getting a lot of complaints because they have a web page dedicated to telemarketer complaints and they will let you look-up this number through a form at http://didcheck.digitcom.net/lookup.php

6. I did that and this is the information they provided:

8. I called this toll free number and complained and the operator said I needed to talk with their complaints manager. I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then they hung up on me

They must also be getting complaints since they have a section of their home page devoted to telemarketer complaints which essentially says that if you have been harassed you should email dnc@tmcallerid.com and they will do what they can by talking to their clients who are using the phone number to place robocalls

HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN DO:

1. Register your number in the federal do not call registry at https://www.donotcall.gov/ if you have not done so already

2. Call your state's attorney general's office and see if they have a do not call list and if so register your number there too

3. Next time you gat a call from 619-801-8188, return the call and press the number for you to be included in that telemarketer's do not call list

4. If you get calls from this number a week after doing (3) above:

4.1 Go to http://didcheck.digitcom.net/lookup.php and fill in the form thus making a complaint) and check the box allowing them to follow up with you about your complaint

4.2 Email dnc@tmcallerid.com AND THN FOLLOW UP BY CALLING TM Caller ID in Portland and complain

4.3 If the calls still do not stop:

4.3.1: Call/email Digitcom and TMC Caller ID and tell them that you are going to complain to the CA and OR attorney generals and to the FCC as well as threaten legal action against them if they don't do domething

4.3.2 Then go ahead complain about these companies to the CA and OR attorney generals' offices

4.3.3 File a complaint with the National do Not Call Registry at https://www.donotcall.gov/

4.3.4 File a complaint directly with the FCC

4.3.5 If you are really fed up hire a lawyer and sue digitcom and TMC Caller ID
