I just checked this out also, read what was here and called banks etc. You can apply yourself to have your credit rate dropped for free you don't need to hire someone to do it for you. Due to the credit stress and financial crisis right now its not likely you will get it reduced anyway...but don't pay someone to tell you that. Take your power back for yourself, breathe and calm your fears then your next step will come from a solid place.

I just want every one to know that they are calling from 2 different numbers 772-408-1340 or 240-560-2138 and they will leave sexual messages on your phone. They did it to my under age daughter and when you call them back to talk to a supervisor they hang up on you after laughing at you. Be warned and they are out of Ft. Pierce Florida.

I fell for the scam. I have been calling MCS trying to get my money back for the past few weeks and no one will return my calls. Because they have you on the phone when they talk to the credit card company to charge the money to your account for the cost of their "service" I am having a really hard time getting Wamu to reverse the charge. Their "service" was to call my credit card companies and ask them to lower the rates. I had already done that and told her the response she was going to receive. That cost me $600. Any suggestions?

I am a recent former employee from Mutual Consolidates Savings. They are a complete scam. They engage in so much fraudulent activity it is only a matter of time before they are thrown in prison.

Their main number is 1-800-943-3250. This number will usually not be given to you, but if it is, IMMEDIATELY CALL AND REQUEST TO CANCEL, AND INFORM THEM THAT YOU WILL BE SPEAKING TO YOUR BANK TO FORCE THE MONEY FROM THEM BACK INTO YOUR ACCOUNT. They will try to convince you against your will not to do this or that you don't have the right to, or that you were recorded saying that you authorized the charge, but DON'T LISTEN TO THEM. recording will not hold up in court, and tell your bank that they promised other things to you that were not on the recording.

They contract out with companies in PAKISTAN, FLORIDA, and the UK to call AMERICAN AND CANADIAN CITIZENS TO SCAM THEM FROM THEIR MONEY.

Those companies are: JPM, Accelerated Financial, AFC, Home Lenders Group, Dequattro Marketing, and a few others. AGAIN, REQUEST THE MAIN NUMBER FOR MUTUAL CONSOLIDATED SAVINGS, LLC AT 1215 Earnest South Brazil in Tacoma, WA, (or Google them) and GET THE MAIN NUMBER OF 1-800-943-3250 and AND TELL THEM YOU WILL NOT ACCEPT THE PACKAGE, ASK FOR A REFUND, DO NOT LISTEN TO THEIR EXCUSES, and then IMMEDIATELY CALL YOUR BANK AND TELL THEM YOU DID NOT AUTHORIZE THE CHARGE AND YOU NEED THEM TO FORCE THE MONEY BACK INTO YOUR ACCOUNT (some banks call this a "chargeback" request).

Again, I am a recent former employee of this company. In fact, not just a former average joe working the phones, but a RECENT former employee with high-level access to almost EVERY piece of information at this company. Before I begin snitching these people out, I have to tell you that every single person at this company uses fake names over the phone.

The parent company of Mutual Consolidated Savings is United Savings Center. They are owned by a man who calls himself "Paul Thompson." This may or may not be his real name. His cell phone number is 253-224-9500. He is an ex-pimp and drug dealer who may or may not be using this fraudulent business operation to wash his money from a prostitution ring he is running in Tacoma, WA.

His wife and co-operator calls herself "Jessica Buzzard". Her real name is Jessica Sewald - again, this may be false information, too. Her cell phone number is 253-224-0200. She assists her husband Paul (they're actually not even married, but have been together for some years) in running the prostitution ring and in putting out the fires (by lying, of course) caused by the fraudulent operations they engage in.

The "Ops Director" if you can call her that, calls herself "Rachel Derricks", but her real name is Amanda Cavender - and even that may not be her real name. Her cell phone number is 253-228-3266. She assists in stealing money from customers' credit card accounts by ensuring that, if a recording of a customer authorizing the charge can be construed as such, the money can be either double-charged or taken out the very day of the phone, even though the customer may have been told the money would NOT be taken out for some other length of time.

The Compliance Officer is Christopher Trescothick. This may or may not be his real name. His cell phone number has changed since last I knew about it, so it does no good to list it. He assists partially in running some aspects of the various websites the company operates, as well as in deflecting complaints from customers they have called who are on the National Do Not Call lists. He is also responsible for contracting out the various other telemarketing call centers who perform the majority of the work for this company.

One of the "customer service supervisors" at this company is a boy who calls himself "Armand Avery." His duty here is to take over calls for telemarketers and convince people to buy the product by lying to them, and to recieve calls from people who want to cancel, and tell them they cannot, for any reason. He was recently arrested and convicted for Possession of Stolen Property (he helps run the drug-dealing and prositution ring with the owner and older employees), Theft of Means (stealing a car), Sales Of A Controlled Substance To An Undercover Officer, and Possession and Distribution of a Controlled SUbstance. He has been convicted and is awaiting sentencing. While he awaits his sentencing, he gets paid to help this company steal money from Canadians and good hard-working Americans.

If convinced to buy into this scam, you will be told that a "Specialist" will call you to go over your debt. These "Specialists" are in a room run by a woman who goes by the name "Joanne." SHe's supposed to be the "supervisor/manager". Her duty is to ensure that when a customer who calls in after never being contacted back (as they were promised), they are given the run-around by being passed among different people and "departments" until such time has passed that the client may not have a claim to a refund.

Customers are told that there is "no cancellation policy", meaning that once they steal the money from your account, they won't be giving it back. Ever. For some odd reason, there is a "cancellations" Department (even though there is a "no-cancel" policy, for customers who call back to request their money back. The purpose of this department (actually four girls) is to flat-out deny the refund request, unless a customer says, "I AM TALKING TO MY BANK ABOUT THIS" or "I AM INITIATING A CHARGEBACK." Once they cancellation agents hear these words, they attempt to convince the customer to accept a PARTIAL REFUND. IF THE CUSTOMER ACCEPTS A PARTIAL REFUND, no matter how much or how little, THEY ARE NO LONGER LEGALLY ENTITLED TO A FULL REFUND. If you are a customer in charge-back proceedings, DO NOT COOPERATE WITH MCS,LLC on any terms, and ONLY TALK TO YOUR BANK. Do not accept ANY MONEY BACK FROM MCS, LLC - ONLY TALK TO YOUR BANK, who will get it ALL back forcefully FOR YOU.

THe "Specilaists" who handle your account are actually local prostitutes, drug dealers, and street thugs (I kid you not, I could not make this up, I swear) from the general area of Tacoma, WA who are in a bad spot and need some extra cash. NO SPECIALISTS AT THIS COMPANY have legitimate degrees from any reputable schools, let alone financial or legal degrees. NO SPECIALISTS AT THIS COMPANY have legitimate certifications for anything in the financial field.

NO SPECIALISTS AT THIS COMPANY are licensable or bondable.

ALl AGENTS AT THIS COMPANY have criminal backgrounds in everything from POssessin Of A Controlled Substance to Fraud.

When convinced to buy into this scam, you will be told that you will recieve a package containing a book, CDs, and some forms to fill out. The book is titled, "Talk Your Way Out Of Credit Card Debt". It's full of advice like, "buy cheap groceries and buy cheaper gas. Ask your bank representative to lower your interest. Cancel your credit cards if you do not want to go into debt." THE BOOK AND CDs ARE COMPLETELY WORTHLESS AND ARE ONLY SENT TO YOU TO PROVE THAT YOU HAVE A PRODUCT IN YOUER HANDS, AND THEY WILL FORCE YOU TO PAY TO HAVE IT SENT BACK, and MAY CLAIM YOU NEVER DID, IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL. If you are in the process of recieving the package, DO NOT ACCEPT IT WHEN IT ARRIVES AND ASK THAT IT BE DESTROYED. GET THE NAME AND NUMBER OF THE COMPANY DROPPING IT OFF AND CALL THAT COMPANY AND CONFIRM YOU DENAIL OF ACCEPTANCE OF THAT PACKAGE.

DO NOT FILL OUT THE FORMS. Filling them out will further bind you into this scam by giving these people the authorization to work with your financial accounts.

Any information this company recieves from you is sold, multiple times and in many ways, to anyone who wants to buy it, for any reason.

There is no Privacy Policy at this company (well, they are a scam, you know).

Everyone at this company does MASSIVE amounts of drugs. They are given only enough information to make them sound legitamate to the CUSTOMER, but any bank rep will know they are full of boloney. DO NOT LET THEM HANDLE YOUR ACCOUNTS BECAUSE THEY MAY DRIVE YOUR INTEREST RATES UP, not DOWN.

You will be told that working with them to lower your rates will not harm your credit - BUT I ASSURE YOU, IT WILL.

It will result in higher interest rates and loan denials.

If you want to do this yourself, there is plenty of free information out there on how to lower your rates yourself, and doing it yourself or with an CERTIFIED, REPUTABLE company will not harm your credit. But these guys are known all throughout Canada and the US as a scam, so banks will usually NOT talk to them.

If you have been suckered in, I'm so sorry..you may or may not ever get a call from their quote-unquote "Specialists".
Begin loggin every phone call back and forth from these people, and begin talking to your bank and ask your bank to GET YOUR MONEY BACK BECAUSE YOU NEVER AUTHORIZED THE CHARGE.

YOU NEVER AUTHORIZED THE CHARGE. If you are told that you were recorded saying that you did, THIS DOES NOT HOLD UP IN COURT. ASK FOR YOUR MONEY BACK IMMEDIATELY.

Log your phone calls and ask your phone company for a record of the calls, and present this record as proof that you called for a refund.

SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION
Washington, D.C.
Litigation Release No. 17220 / November 6, 2001
SEC v. TIMOTHY S. VASKO, EDWARD B. WILLIAMSON, AND MICHAEL J. SCHUCHARD, U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, C.A. No. 00-M-2593 (December 29, 2000)

SEC SETTLES FRAUD ACTION AGAINST TIMOTHY S. VASKO, FORMER CHAIRMAN AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF VIP GLOBAL CAPITAL, INC.

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced that it has settled its civil injunctive action against Timothy S. Vasko, the former chairman and chief executive officer of VIP Global Capital, Inc. The Commission's Complaint alleged that Vasko made materially misleading disclosure in VIP's filings with the Commission, particularly with respect to VIP's credit arrangement with its major source of financing; that Vasko, along with Edward B. Williamson, a stock promoter who published an investment newsletter, engaged in a scheme to tout VIP and manipulate the market for VIP's securities; and that Michael J. Schuchard, a former senior vice president and member of VIP's board, who also worked as a registered representative of a broker-dealer, fraudulently sold securities of VIP to his brokerage customers. The SEC settled with Williamson and Schuchard at the time it instituted its civil action. See SEC Litigation Release No. 16855 (January 5, 2001).

Vasko, without admitting or denying the allegations of the Complaint, agreed to a settlement whereby he would be permanently enjoined from violating Sections 10(b) and 13(b)(5) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 ("Exchange Act"), and Rules 10b-5 and 13b2-1 thereunder, and from aiding and abetting violations of Section 13(a) of the Exchange Act and Rule 13a-1 thereunder. Vasko also paid a $40,000 civil penalty pursuant to Section 21(d)(3) of the Exchange Act. The U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado entered the order of Final Judgment against Vasko on April 17, 2001.

I USED TO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. YOU NEED TO CALL 1-800-943-3250 AND ASK FOR PAUL, MANDY, OR JESSICA BUZZARD. THIS COMPANY USES OUTSIDE CALL CENTERS TO CONTACT YOU, FROM FLORIDA TO PAKISTAN. THEY DO NOT REGULATE WHAT THESE CALL CENTERS SAY TO PEOPLE, BECAUSE THE OWNER, PAUL, BELIEVES THAT THESE CALL CENTERS ARE WHAT BRINGS HIM BUSINESS, AND THAT THEY SHOULD DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES. ONCE YOU FALL FOR THE CALL CENTERS LIE, THEN YOU WILL SPEAK TO THE "WELCOME DEPARTMENT" WHO THEN TELLS YOU A LITTLE BIT OF THE TRUTH, BUT LEAVE OUT OR RE-WORD THINGS IN ORDER TO MAKE THE CLIENT HAPPY. AND THEN IF YOU TRY TO EVEN CANCEL, THEY MAKE IT ALMOST NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO DO. *NOTE* - FILE A CHARGEBACK WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY OR BANK BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING AND YOU CAN GET YOUR MONEY BACK.
NO ONE THERE HAS MUCH EXPERIENCE IN THE FINANCIAL FIELD. SOME HAVE EVEN BEEN SEEN DRIVING OFF AT LUNCH TIME TO GO AND SMOKE MARIJUANA OR SOME FORM OF RECREATIONAL DRUGS. IF YOU LOOK AT THE WEBSITE, NOT A SINGLE PERSON LOOKS OR DRESSES LIKE THAT AT THE COMPANY. AND IF YOU ARE AN EMPLOYEE AT MUTUAL CONSOLIDATED SAVINGS, AND YOU STAND UP AND SAY THAT YOU FEEL SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT, MANAGEMENT WILL MAKE THINGS TOUGH FOR YOU THERE UNTIL YOU QUIT OR DO SOMETHING TO GET FIRED. AND THERE HAS BEEN CRIMINAL ACTIVITY AMONGST STAFF. NEXT TIME YOU CALL, ASK AN EMPLOYEE WHY DID A GIRL BY THE NAME OF WENDY GET STABBED BY ANOTHER EMPLOYEE.

I have seen a note that says we are not where we say we are... googleearth.com, download the free version, and type in Mutual Consolidated Savings Tacoma Washington.. it will indeed pop up right across the street from a U Haul place and a Safeway store... The address will pop up as 1215 Earnest S. Brazil Suite 33

There is a 1-800 # for people to call:1-800-943-3250... Pacific times call at any day time hours and they will inquire... There is no fraud, We CHARGE MONEY, around $900 dollars, this service is NOT FREE, a person can NOT call your bank and deal with interest rates without your credit card number. Obviously you people are not getting it. Yes we take your money, everyone does, and if we were a fraud we would have been investigated and shut down. There is no Illegal matter here. When people have an Interest rate above 20%, MCS will most likely drop it, so that the person is paying less back to the bank... which then saves them money, often 10s of thousands by the time they die, because yes, the one time fee of our membership does last a lifetime. There you have your info, there is nothing els, what scares people is that we charge upfront,
and people don't see the savings for one until a week or two depending on when they make a payment- Kristopher Dail... Chief_kris@yahoo.com Thank you-

First off every person who has posted on this site is freaking retarded. I have friends that have used mcs to lower very large amounts of credit card debt and are more than happy. Mcs does nothing they dont clearly explain to you first. When you get a call from them they ask you to press one or comply, its your own stupid fault if you continue ahead. if you are even looking into dealing with mcs you have a large amount of debt, so maybe you should quit blogging on websites and get a job...

I have never been called by MCS but i also dont have any credit cards. But heres what i do know they are operating illegally there's some funny business about how they set up there merchant account i know this because i have a friend that is employed there. Next the employees there are not the type of people you would want to give any imformation to i have physically been to mcs in tacoma it's a joke smack dab in the ghetto of tacoma i know one of the supervisors there and she is a drug user and not talking asprin i think most of the people working there are drug user's i have even heard of them smoking crack in the bathroom at work. So theres that i have the contact info for one of the supervisors i dont know the last name but her first name is mandy and this is her personal number its her cell 253-228-3266 i would advise everyone that has dealt with these people to call her and give her a little taste of her own crap

For anyone who actually wants to speak to human representing MUTUAL CONSOLIDATED SAVINGS CALL: 253-383-8780. i called this local tacoma, wa phone # which i found in the yellow pages after being harrassed & cussed out by one of thier reps. it goes to the companys corporate american office. i spoke to a "manager" & he was just plain STUPID. kept wanting me to give him my name & number but when i asked for his he refused. i told him that i would be happy to give him any info he wanted as soon as i could verify that this was a valid company. he told me i was being unreasonable. his reason for refusing to provide me w/ his name & direct line was that he didn't want to get involved in my complaint. seriously, what kind of company encourages an employee to with hold that? my suggestion is call them. everyday. if they get harrassed enough @ the corporate office they may just change the way they conduct business. also, when i told him that myself & several others were considering pressing charges for harrassment his response was, & i quote "for what? a nationwide manhunt for someone you're mad at because he was mean to you? please! thats the most ignorant thing i've ever heard" wow! what a great place to do business with, huh?

these people keep calling my office on a back line & usually i just hang up as i hear the recorded message but today they called about 5 times, so on the 6th i pressed "1" to speak to a customer service idiot. when he came on the line he asked if i was interested in lowering my rates & i told him "no, i'm just letting you know that i'm reporting you for harrassment & calling a # on the DND list." he then yells to all of the other idiots he works with "guess what everybody, this stupid c*** is on the do not dial list". i became FURIOUS & asked him if he'd lost his mind. he replied w/ "go f*** yourself you stupid old whore. (i'm 29 by the way)

i tried to call every # i could find for these jerks & no one answered any of them. figures.

I was boneheaded enough and in debt enough to want to believe in the offer. After stewpidly giving them some information, and while still on the phone, I fortunately found this web site and woke up. By then I had provided certain of the numbers in my credit card number (But not all of them; they seemed to have my card number and could tell me the first and last numbers...) as well as expiry date and name. So after getting off the phone, I called my two credit card companies who advised that no transactions had been attempted and who immediately cancelled my cards. Thanks to this web site and the previous commentors.

Not nice but the calls are pissing me off and they do not take me off their calling list. I also sent a pointed e-mail and they sent back this responce.

Hello:

I called the 1-800 number for the Whois listing that someone provided below, and got some poor French woman who said that she has received many calls and knows nothing of Paul Thompson. She sounded genuinely frustrated.

Does whois require that the people who register complete the information honestly?

Or is this info possibly wrong...

I got a call from these guys tonight. Their caller ID is 888-882-3811, but they gave me a call back number or 888-786-6201. They said the credit card interest rate could be as low as 6.99%. I've already had my ID scammed before so the warning lights went off. I did not give them any card #s. I have actually already called all of my credit cards following the CBC news article on reducing credit card interest, and I did get one of them reduced. You can also get low interest Capital One cards in Canada now. I would not trust these guys, it just doesn't smell right.

I took the original call and pressed 1 to talk to someone about lowering my interest rate on my credit cards. Asked a few questions like, how much of a reduction and so on, the person from MCS (Anna Smith, right!!!)couldn't answer my questions,I asked for their number to call them back. The company they gave me was Mutual Consumer Savings.I found this website and others about Mutual Consolidated Savings.I called Anna back. She tranferred me to her Finacial Supervisor, Ronnie.I asked Ronnie how the program worked. He told me-MCS had a business relationship with my credit card company and bank and all the banks across Canada- MCS was requested to call me by my bank -MCS was endorsed by the credit card companies.-MCS stood for Mutual Consumer Savings (not so)-MCS was in Dallas, Texas (interesting since most of the people sending notes to this page and other webpages say their in Tacoma, Wash.)-MCS can automatically, upon qualifying, reduce my interest rate to 6.9%-Ronnie said that MCS would negotiate with them, I questioned the negotiate part.-MCS has to negotiate with the credit card company to get the reduced rate.-I asked how much MCS charged for this service, Ronnie said nothing.-I asked how does MCS make money, he said they are not interested in making money from me and they get a commission from the bank to provide this service-Ronnie kept telling me that I would understand better if I gave him my information so he could qualify me for the service. These guys are crooks, but sound legit. If something is to go to be true, theirs usually a catch

I received a call from a gentleman offering to lower my interest rates on my credit cards to 6.9%. I was very skeptical that it was a scam. The person said that the call was recorded and it was safe and they already had my credit card information, I would only have to verify the numbers with them. As soon as I said I would not verify my credit card information on the phone he said have a good day.

He gave me a speech on knowing the financial legislation and that everyone is entitled to the lowest interest possible. I asked him what is in it for Mutual Consolidated Savings, no one does anything for free. He said nothing, however, if you were with a credit card company for a long time, they would get some sort of kick back from the vendor (Visa, Mastercard). Never once did he mention an administration fee of $200.00 or $695.00.

It is horrible that companies like this are allowed to operate and intimidate people on the phone. I've read many of the complaints and comments about this company on this website and feel this should be publicized more often to warn consumers. If you are interested, you can read an article published on May 18, 2007 called "Telemarketing Calls Come with Hefty Price Tag" which is found on global tv website. I have also received calls asking me to press 1 to lower my interest rate. I didn't know until today that the two were connected to the same company.

SCAM! They Called my cell with an urgent recording telling me to press one to receive last offer of low interest rate. Said tey worked for MC&Visa to lower interest rates as much as prime depending on my good payment history. Wanted me to confirm address, DOB, MC number, exp. date. I called MASTERCARD and they said they absolutely did not authorize this call and that MC and VISA are two separate companies. The MC security representative said she had heard of this company and would pass all info on to her supervisor. If you have fallen for it - call MC or VISA and cancell the card number.

See also http://www.whocalled.us/lookup/800-961-9830 - apparently, it's a phishing scam: "It has come to our attention that an unscrupulous telemarketer is using our name in a vishing scam. Because they use caller ID spoofing, it appears that the call is originating from our office. They pitch a wide variety of financial products and ask for personal information, such as credit card data, bank account numbers and social security numbers. Do not give them any information! They are attempting to capitalize on our name. MCS Financial Advisors does NOT make telephone solicitations nor is it involved in the activities described by these telemarketers. Report them to the authorities!"

It's not "NCS", it's "MCS". Skyped this number back and got an announcer, saying "Thank you for calling 1-866-MCS-WEALTH". Skyped the mnemonic (1-866-627-9325) and got the same announcer. It's a credit-card debt reduction company. They left a blank VM this morning. Anyway, according to MCS' website (http://www.mcsfa.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=warning) this number is being spoofed in a "vishing scam" (I think they mean "phishing"): "It has come to our attention that an unscrupulous telemarketer is using our name in a vishing scam. I was having a week moment when this company called me and although I was trying to be cautious, they managed to talk me into it. They are very smooth and sound very informative. Shortly after I gave them the information my credit card company called me and asked if I purchased something online in Mexico for $800.00 and some odd dollars. I said no, please cancell my cards.
Saved by the Credit Card Company.
I tried to call MCS Programs and of course you have to leave a message.

The information and there talk about lowering the interest seemed good, I gave all information to them, and was told I would be chrage 695.00 us on my credit card, but with what they were going to save me, would be more than that. After I did this, I thought I would look it up online and founf this....Wow, I was scared, thinking in the back of my mind this was a scam, I have no idea if it is or not, but have cancelled my credit cards and have a message sitting there for them to call me back saying I want it cancelled.

Fourth call in two weeks. They left a message twice about calling immediately for last chance at offer to reduce credit card rates. Today, I pressed 1 for a live operator. I looked up the company on the net after they called me and I called them back to see who it was. It only said MCS but online I found a company named Mutual Consolodated Services that says they can lower your credit card interest rate - but I called my credit card company to check it out and they said not to give out any info to them - I wouldn't have anyway - but they said they're sending me some info in the mail. Once they do I'll be contacting the Better Business Bureau to see if they're legit - you can never be too careful now adays & I don't trust them - even if they do have a website - I'm sure a bogus company can get a website made up just as easily as a legit company!
