@KR,

Unpublished number is zero protection these days. Be it political groups or telemarketing calls, they all use autodialers that go through progression of every single number in an area code regardless of whether its could be a business, home, cell or anything else.

I just got a call which I will add to my block list. I will now get no ring but will get a list of blocked calls on my phone.
I have the Panasonic cordless telephone Model kx-tg6842b (2 handsets)
You can block 250 numbers plus kill the one ring that existed on earlier models that only allowed 30 blocked numbers. If other phone models are connected you will still get the first ring on them.
The one handset model sells for $70 at Amazon.

I gave up. After years of putting up with these political and so called charitable calls I switched my home phone to a cellular home phone. If anyone is interested, it's StraightTalk at Walmart. It's just $15 a month and none of the add on fees like the universal service fund. It also includes unlimited nationwide calling. Hopefully, this will stop these endless annoyance calls. BTW, you can keep your same number if you want but the calls may continue for a while. Good luck to you all.

This is "The Presidential Coalition" a 'conservative' political group. If you want to call them back I'm sure they'd love to hear from you just as much as you love to hear from them. Here is the number for their headquarters in DC 202-503-2090 or 800-942-1970

Angry K.R.: What on Earth makes you think Unlisted or Non-Published equals bulletproof? Your number is not advertised but it's not a state secret, either. The thirteen hour period you describe, by the way, is the default federal call window for sales calls and debt collectors. Non-sales callers don't have the same restrictions, but the polite ones tend to keep the same hours. A less polite one may need a ''cease communication'' notice via USPS Certified with return card, since you cannot prove your verbal or emailed demands were received.

This so-called "political" group has been calling me daily for three months -- up to five times in a single day! They call as late as 9PM and as early as 8AM. I have never answered, but instead found out who they were online and asked -- via phone and in writing (email) to be removed from their list. Nada. And the calls keep coming. This behavior is abusive. I've NEVER given money to any GOP cause. I'm a registered Democrat and MY NUMBER IS NOT PUBLISHED!!! Are they allowed to bully me at my NON PUBLISHED NUMBER???

I've been receiving daily calls from this number for over three months -- sometimes up to four calls daily beginning at 8AM and ending at 9PM. The robo message IDs itself as the Presidential Coalition and blathers on about how the conservative Republican party is the party of Lincoln!!! It's poorly written and fear-based. I've opted out on the Coalitions direct line, but that did squat. These people need to be put out of business.

Heron's message below is helpful: Don't answer the call. Instead, call their direct toll free line, 1-800-942-1970, ask to be put on their do not all list, and they'll honor your request. Political organizations are not bound by the national Do Not Call list, but the legitimate ones will stop calling if you contact them directly and ask nicely. This one uses a call center, so it may take a while for the call center personnel to stop calling you after you make your request.

I have been getting 3 to 4 calls a day and last week I called the 202-503-2090 # which is on their website, and I told man I spoke with that they were harassing me and many others, that I can not tolerate this and he promised they would remove my #. Calls have cont. and I spoke with Chris yesterday and he promised no more calls, by 7pm they called again. Today after a 12noon call I spoke with Jennifer who said my # was going to be removed. This is after I threatened to turn it over to John Abbott the Atty. Gen. of Tex if I get another call. She said "they are a conserv. group who supports all Rep. candidates by raising money, I told her that they are harassing many people and I was a Dem. and would hate to be a Rep. who believes it is ok to harass us when we have repeatedly told them to quit it,and they don't show any respect for our rights to our privacy." I am much more cons. than they are and would never be part of a messed up group of idiots.

I never answer them, but hit the answer button, then half second later hit hang up. These are the most constant scammers and they never give up even tho I have been trying to get rid of them all year. Hope after they lose the election they will go back to what ever crime they were doing before they started this one, and I pray it will not have anything to do with robo calls for free money.

Political call. Conservatives & Newt Ginrich. The number is now in my computer program PhoneTray Free which will answer this number the next time they call, give them a piece of my mind, and hang up. All that's needed is a Fax/Data/Voice/CallerID modem and the free program. Check it out at: http://www.phonetray.com/

The guy who runs this annoying political action grpoup is David N. Bossie. He lives in Ashton Maryland and a zaba search will give you his home address and telephone number. He can be reached by email at davidbossie@yahoo.com. He should be apprised about how annoying his outfit's endless calls are. Nothing like going to the source of the problem.

They call many times per week, sometimes early enough in the morning to wake me up. They never leave a message. I have adopted the habit of screening 100% of my calls. I wish the "do not call list" would work for political and charity calls, those are among the most annoying.

The message was a robo call from Callista Gingrich about putting God back in America and offers a filmed documentary on the subject going back to the nation's forefathers which Callista tells you to press one at the end of the very long message and then gives another number 800-942-1970 to be taken off the list. What arrogance and gall! If the "do not call registry" does not cover politics, then at the very least religion has no freaking business in politics. As in the posts below, I am calling to remove my number. Unbelievable! Scumbag propaganda. How is this political?

This number has been calling me three and four times a day. Today (12/24) they have called so far three times and it is only 10:30 am. I would love to sue for harrassment. I'll try some of the hints below to get on their do not call list. I just called the 800 number and got a message that said, "In observance of the holiday, our office is closed." Yet, they continue to call me. Outrageous.

SAME BS M.O. as all the rest of the annoyance calls--I just keep an eye on the Caller ID window, & if the # looks bogus, just LET THE MACHINE ANSWER IT!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR AGGRAVATION answering these idiots' calls, but frustrate them when all they ever get is your machine--sooner or later, they WILL give up I have found, since I track about 6+ bogus #'s right now. GWG in MKE.

I just called the number and yes, it is the Presidential Coalition. After recorded message, press 1 for "more info." After that ends, press 3 to remove your number from their list. Hopefully that will work.

This number calls at least once a day everyday and sometimes 4 -5 times a day. They never leave a message and I don't answer unknown numbers. I think that "Do Not Call Registry" is a waste of time and money. I'm always getting phone calls from 800 numbers. If it's anything political I "AIN'T" answering it, I hate politics and people trying to influence me to join their "party".

If you call them back and press the number to receive more info, you will hear a girl go thru the republican spill, then at the very end, you will get an option to have your phone number removed and will not receive these calls any longer. I just did it and they said it could take up to 30 days, we'll see if it works.
