100 % scammers, just like the CIA and their facebook, find-your-roots, etc, programs to profile and watch people for future Illuminati, Black Pope/Jesuit Roman Empire (via their Oprah/Obama/Putin/Rockefeller... satan-worshipping shills, and many other fools worldwide, etc.) new world order/chemtrail/HAARP and electronic mind control and poison, FEMA concentration/death camps worldwide... genocide (including what they did on 9/11... and just might do a whole lot worse at the next Olympic 2012 games, and afterwards when they slaughter billions in various nefarious ways worldwide (and blame us or others)...

Please know that the calls AHA authorizes commercial fundraiser InfoCision to drill us with are often not properly announced via Caller ID. There is only so much "caring people" can stand of daily mystery calls which border on harassment, placed by a million-dollar business which keeps half or more of what it collects for its charity clients. Please don't try to claim that coaxing people to propagate your junk mail is not somehow soliciting funds.

A commercial fundraiser is expected to honor its own no-call list and add any number upon request. Break that order, the FTC declares, and "the telemarketer may be subject to a fine of up to $16,000."

American Heart Association, calling for donations or to sucker you in to volunteering to do their fundraising for them.

I went to the AHA website and filed to be placed on their specific do-not-call list two months ago -- formerly they only been calling me from one phone number. Once I got my name listed on their website, they started calling from SIX different numbers. Then one day I picked up and, after getting their intro, I told them that I had placed my phone number on the American Heart Association do-not-call list, and to please stop calling me. They haven't called since!

Here are some suggestions:
1)I have Verizon Call Intercept with Call Blocking that allows you to program your phone
to block out any unwanted caller.
2)Maybe if WE call the American Heart Association toll free and tell them that WE
are soliciting money from THEM it would drive them crazy and make them stop.
3)When they call just say "You have reached the FBI harassment department. Please leave a message
and we will get back to you."

Been receiving calls from this daily for about two weeks now. Picked up twice and repeated, "Hello" for 8-10 seconds before hanging up. I've submitted a complaint to the FCC as Cindy recommended in the comments. Also went to the AHA's site and submitted a "General Question" (http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=10000046&title=generalquestions) telling them what is happening and that if they ever want any donations from me again they'll stop calling.

I just called the company, InfoCision Management Corporation, that is conducting the campaign for the American Heart Association and asked them to remove my telephone number from all telephone campaigns they conduct for any of their clients. They were polite, efficient, took my number that I wanted removed, and said it would be done. Here is their contact info. So just a quick call to them and you should be rid of American Heart Association calls as well as other calls resulting from campaigns conducted by InfoCision Management. Here is the web site for InfoCision if you wish to see how organizations such as the American Heart Association use their money to hire companies such as InfoCision, to do their fund raising: http://www.infocision.com/Pages/WelcomeToInfoCision.aspx

Is This Happening To You?

On behalf of those who have previously retained us, the law firm of Fineberg Gresham is investigating complaints from consumers being harassed with calls and text messages to their cell phones. If you have received calls or text messages to your cell phone by telemarketers or others who did not have your express permission to contact your cell phone or wish to report any complaints regarding this practice, http://www.stoptelemarketingabuse.com/contact.html. (this will send an email to our office). We are gathering factual information to determine the nature, extent and scope of the problem for those who have retained our law firm. All messages will be held confidential.

What Can You Do to Assist in Our Investigation?

If you have been the victim of this telemarketing abuse, preserve all facts and evidence of the unwanted calls or texts. Save the message. Most voicemail services only store messages for a few days or weeks. As a result, record the message in another place so that you have it. Save your phone bills which show when the call or text was received. Keep all evidence of the harassing calls or text messages.

When the person told me they were from the American Heart Assoc. I told them that I already donated but since I was the daughter of who they were calling they would not do as I requested and take my name off the calling list. They requested to speak with my dad and tried to sucker him into it my mom took the phone because of his facial expressions and announced herself and theAMerican Heart Assoc hung up on her. Now does this sound like an organization that hangs up on people. I am going to report it to the AHA. Oh yeah they called at 8:37 on a Saturday morning. Hello Don't think it is them.

This outfit calls almost every day. They do not leave a message, and when I have answered the call they hangup after about 7 seconds. I too think I will contact the FCC regarding this type of action. I also believe that 'charities' and especially all the political entities should also be forced to maintain a "Do Not Call" list just as the commercial side must. We get far more political and 'charitable organization' type calls than we evr got solicitations from business.

I called the real number for the american heart association and explained what was going on and was told it probably is one of the numbers that calls for the Dear Neighbor program which is sending envelopes for donations to your neighbors, I told her I did not beleive it was because why would they not answer or leave a message???, and if it was they are really giving them a bad name!! I got an 800 number from her for the Dear Neighbor Program "800-464-7142" and called it but was told there was nothing they could do but put in a complaint. They acted like it was no big deal!!!! I don't get it!!, you would think they would not let anyone give them a bad name!!! I'm so blasted MAD about this!!!!!

866-431-5121 has called 4 to 5 times a week for 5 to 6 weeks. If I pick up and say Hello, Hello, the line is open but no one hears me talk or answers. If my answering machine answers, the line is open and then hangs up leaving loud dial tone as message before finally hanging up. How can I stop this harrassment? If reported to AT&T as harassment, would they help, would they track this number and stop this harassment. Can this be reported to the police? I'm on the Do Not Call LIst.

Yep, same with me.

I keep getting call after call, day after day, from this number. However, every time I answer it, they hang up a second or two later. No verbal response to my "Hello? Hello? HELLO?".

Each time, a hang up.

Sorry, but IMHO, if they hang up, it is an ANNOYANCE call, and not a charity call (which the latter are except from the DoNotCall law).

Thanks to Jack for his earlier post of the InfoCision Management Corporation contact info.
This is what you do:
1. Call InfoCision at 1-330-668-1400
2. Ask for their Regulatory Compliance department
(I was forwarded here by Steve Brubaker's office).
3. Ask to be put on InfoCision's internal Do No Call list.
(Note: Real person "David" was very nice and helpful).
Now do like me and cross your fingers!!!!!!

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION. THEY CALL SEVERAL TIMES THROUGHOUT THE DAY BOTH WEEK DAYS AND WEEKENDS. I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK TODAY AND ACTUALLY GOT A LIVE PERSON TO ANSWER THE PHONE! SHE SAID THAT SHE WOULD TAKE MY NUMBER OFF THEIR CALL LIST IMMEDIATELY AND APOLOGIZED FOR THE NUMEROUS CALLS. ONLY TIME WILL TELL THOUGH.

I called the American Heart Association at 800-242-8721 and told them that if the calls from their "Dear Friend" telemarkers (866-431-5121) did not stop I would contact 100 of my friends to call them and complain. They promised I would not receive another call after they called the company while I was on hold. We'll see...
