Don't count on silence from Allied, SLK. You'll be pestered again in its skip tracing of the other person until you send a written cease-comm. The FTC and many consumer groups explain how.

I just called the main headquarters 800-955-3103 and they gave me another number to call and get my name off the list 866-396-7769(866-396-7770 never answered when I called) I was told my number was already off their list but they were looking for someone named Alicia.NOT ME but a weird answer...dont you think?
So here is to hoping I am really off the "list"

If you are receiving misdirected or abusive calls from a third party debt collector, you may find relief in the provisions of the FDCPA, which regulates collector behavior and provides you simple tools for your own defense. It grants you control of how you are contacted, and collectors can be sued for their crimes. Learn your rights and first response tactics at FTC-dot-gov.

Dee: The FTC and state attorneys general would be better sounding boards. From the rise in recent complaints, I see Allied Interstate has been quite busy hustling accounts. This month they racked up a $1.75 million bill, the second largest for the debt industry, for chronic violation of the FDCPA. I guess they figure they should pay their bill with your money instead of theirs.

As to Ms. Walker's plea, industry lobby group ACA won an exemption from the TCPA, so at least under that law collector bot calls also get a pass.

Never anybody on the line. Always leaves msg instructing you to call one of their "representatives" regarding a debt. I have no debt, so they are just annoying me for no reason.

I get the same message on my machine EVERYDAY at 12:15. After reading all the comments I think this is terrible. Maybe everyone should file a phone harassement complaint until Allied learns to STOP calling people that do not even owe them ANYTHING.........................................

This morning, when these jokers hit me again at 8:30 AM as they have every morning for the past week, I yelled into the phone, "Are you Allied Interstate, Inc.?" Amazingly, I found myself speaking to a young-sounding, live, female voice. I asked her who they were looking for at my number. She could not even read a simple name like "Delilah"! But I did give her my story, that I had gotten the number in late 2007, and she told me that my name had been taken off of the list.

Now, about this Delilah Rabe (who is allegedly connected with the number 485-5883, area code definitely not mine), as I think the name was, despite the mispronouncements: How she ended up being chased by a collection agency, I cannot imagine. On-line, it turns out, that she is a missionary in the Philippines. What is important is that she and (presumably) an unmarried daughter left the USA in 2007! Did Delilah have a credit card that someone else abused, and stuck her with the debt?

What is happening, I believe, with these robo-calls is that the machine tries all the area codes with a particular phone number, whether the person being sought is connected to this phone system or that. Most importantly, within the last two years, I have read that robo-calls are considered illegal except for charities and political groups. Clearly, collection agencies see themselves as above the law. (IntelliRisk Management Corp., parent company of Allied Interstate, Inc., boasts on its web page that it makes over $300 million a year in collecting bad debts.) Wheeeeeee!

The caller ID number will be 1-972-200-9825. The number to call back is 1-888-673-1409. The recorded message says that the company has received a copy of "your resume", and would like to schedule an interview this week. What is interesting is that a company by a similar name, Liberty Mutual, has posted advertisements at and also at, actually giving their name and contact information. I am very leery of any company that names itself "Liberty" anything. What is also interesting is that these harassing calls come at exactly the same time every morning , 8:30 AM, and every evening, 7:30 PM. The company that I thought I had gotten off my back, a collection agency, Allied Interstate, also had automated phone calls to me at exactly those same two times.

I know from the troubles I have had with these "piles of barnyard manure" that once you are in their automated system, unless you change your number, you will be their victim forever. I am also convinced that their system hits all numbers with the same basic seven numbers, regardless of what the area code might be. (See my comments under the number 866-396-7770.) Robo-calls except for charities and political solicitations were supposed to have been made illegal within the last two years. Clearly, collection agencies see themselves as above the law, and do whatever they wretchedly well please.

Never leaves a message. You'd think they'd have enough brains to know we screen calls! Been going on for almost a month now...

Automated calling system. They called me on an unpublished company mobile phone. I googled it, so I have not called them back. Seems like a bogus company.

Have received a call from someone saying he was from Allied Interstate about some debt. I told him it couldn't be my husband whom he wanted to talk to about this. He said he couldn't reveal any information to me but he did ask if the phone number he had called went with two addresses that are in this area (same last name). The guy said he would remove our number from their list, but obviously hasn't. They're fishing!!

they called our home phone yesterday 9AM, left voice mail identified themselves as collection agency. I returned their call within that hour.

Was on-hold less than one minute when someone answered

I said I was returning their call gave them only same home phone number.

They asked me about Josh, I said never heard of Josh, then she spelled out a somewhat differently spelled last name. I replied by correctly spelling our last name. I replied again I was not Josh and never heard of him.

She thanked me and she volunteered to remove our number from their calling list.

We have worked very long and hard to manage our bills and are very proud of our credit scores. In my experience, ignoring these types of inquiries is not in anyone's best interest.

As soon as I saw the name Allied Interstate Inc as source, I am sure it is them, as I had a battle with them a couple of years ago. Short story is this... I lease a house (since 2002). The previous tenants were scam artists individually, as well as a couple. Alias, etc. When I moved in, I began getting calls from these guys who believed I was the prior tenant, and they were trying to collect a debt from his wife (who was also a loser). I figured out that the tenants continued to list this address as their home with a cell number. (this continues 6 yrs later). Since I refused to give them my personal data, they escalated the calls, started watching my house, and finally came to the door. (I have video/intercom) I advised the guy again that I was not the guy he thought I was and I lived alone so there were no women by that name or any other name. He snapped out and began yelling threats about coming after me, accused me of all kinds of stuff, and said he was "coming back with the sheriff". Quite a performance. This continued with them posting court orders, etc. for the female, on my front door, etc.

I finally sent a certified letter to the business address advising them that I had everything on surveillance tape, including all of the harassment that continued after several requests to stop. I included a C&D notice, as well as advising them I am in the surveillance business, clearly understood harassment laws, etc. and any form of contact from their company would result in legal action. That was the last time I heard from any of them.

The new phone books are out now, the guy listed this address again, so the whole circus is back in town. This time, I WILL get paid for dealing with these yo-yos.

Be careful. These clowns are amateurs think they are bounty hunters and employ people who are seriously confused about how little power they actually have, and no knowledge of the limits of the law. Few homes and people are as prepared as I am to handle guy like that at the front door.

After several attempts to get these idiots to remove my number i decided to go straight to their office, calling the main number listed above and asking to speak to a manager. BUT GUESS WHAT !? They still call!
Above is their Office address and phone, perhaps if enough people call them direct they will start to do somthing about the wrong info their lazy skip tracers provide them.

I have been getting dozens of calls on my fax line from 866-396-7770 in the past 24 hours. I’ve tried calling them to request them to cease & desist to no avail as no person ever answers their phones. I called my phone company (AT&T) who suggested I sign up for their “Privacy Director” service. This STOPS the auto-dialers in their tracks! They MUST identify themselves prior to the call coming to me. I LOVE THIS! My fax line has been ringing off the hook since 8 PM last night & the line is now QUIET! If you are getting calls from these scum-bags on your landline, contact your phone company to ask if they have a similar service. If you are getting calls on your cell phone, call your cellular provider to see if they have some sort of number blocking as well. This might not work for everyone, but it sure has helped me.
