No one leaves a message. How do we know its not a telemarketer?
Never identifies who they are, leaves pre recorded messages on my machine, each time a different sounding version. Have no idea who these people are, have never heard of "Merchants Credit", have never gotten anything in the mail from their either. Wish they'd stop calling.
I get lots of calls from numbers like this - no ID, they don't leave a message (legitimate businesses usually will) and even if you answer they're usually not there. I have a call blocking feature from my phone co., you just dial a code after you hang up and they can't call from that number anymore. It beats threatening them, although it can be therapeutic to get some jerk's ire up. The few that have actually claimed to have some business always refuse to send a written request, so just demand that and hang up.

These scumbags don't give up. but they're wasting their time. Attorney General LOVES CA's that operate OUTSIDE the LAW!

Bottom feeders! This is a LAW BREAKING bottom feeder collection company! They try to bully people into paying old debts OUTSIDE THE STATUTE OF LIMITATION!!!!! They violate the Fair Credit Collection laws & should be sued! Report them to your State Attorney General if they attempt to break the law by abusing you!
In Texas, they cannot legally try to collect a debt over 4 years old- they KNOWINGLY violate this law, just as in our case! They continue to harrass us on an old debt that is WAY past the statute! They are being reported to our Attorney General!
They use multiple toll free numbers to avoid you knowing it's them. When I REPEATEDLY asked the rude caller (said his name was Danny Mackey- or that's what it sounded like!) he refused to answer my very basic question of what company he represented and asked me why I was asking so many questions!!!!!!! BOTTOM FEEDERS- DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE LAW BREAKERS! If you make ANY payment to them, you start the statute of limitations over again, since it is based on the last payment activity!
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! Learn from the website of budhibbs.com & do NOT let these scumbags intimidate you!!!!!!!
Just another bottom feeder Collection Agency that is BREAKING THE LAW! last payment activity is 2000 & TX ONLY allows debit collection up to 4 years from that date. I got jerk (aren't they all?) James Church. they WAY-over inflate what was actually owed & when I informed him he is breaking the law by continuing to call after 4 years from last payment activity, he started to yell (as they always do IF you know your rights & Fair Debt Collection law) & I terminated the call with "You are breaking the law!"
DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE INTIMIDATED BY SCUMMY DEBT COLLECTION BULLIES! KNOW YOUR RIGHTS & BE FAMILIAR WITH THE DEBT COLLECTION LAWS THAT ACTUALLY PROTECT YOU IN MANY WAYS! Refer to Bud Hibbs website if you want help!

left an automated message- " This is a call for so and so. If this is not so and so hang up or disconnect. If this is so and so stay on the line. There will now be a 3 second delay. By staying on the phone you have confirmed that this is so and so ....." These called started shortly after I moved in to my new home.
Answered, no one was there, no recording. It's going on the blacklist. :)
