I've called the "Do Not Call" number with my pre-paid cellphone yet I'm still getting these type calls. What really ticks me off is it costs me money every single time they call. When I answer the phone, I pay for that call. When I let it go to voicemail, I have to pay for the call to hear a message. Why can't they just leave folks alone?
By the way, KP in NJ, those numbers DO look VERY familiar.... I have over ten numbers these people have called from... 402-982-0442
This is bullsh*t!! There should be something we can do to get these people to stop calling! I was thinking about sitting down after midnight on a weekday... marking my number private and start calling these numbers back. Hopefully, if I can find a working number and someone picks up, hang up and call back in about five minutes! Give them back some of the hell they've been giving all the other hardworking people!!
I have also received an auto warranty renewal offer, from this number, although I have not owned a car in 30 years. Most of the scam or nuisance phone calls I receive are family related. I learned, only a few years ago, that my family is, in fact, a crime family associated with the Church of Scientology. Scientologists often engage in financial scamming, and you may safely assume that this calling phone number is from a scam business. If you are not given any means to return the scam phone call, then harassment could also be a motive, another method used by Scientologists towards people who openly criticize or leave the Church of Scientology.
A comment posted by "dustin" indicates that my crime family may be engaged in drug trafficking, in addition to fraud, scamming and murder contracts.
Any incidents of scamming or harassment from this phone number or its business, Auto One Warranty, should first be reported to the police or a government agency. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE DIRECTLY. You are dealing with a potentially dangerous situation.
Last April 10, 2008, all cell phone numbers went "public", thus giving telemarketers millions of additional phone numbers to continue their barrage of unwanted and disgusting calls. To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone:
It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time
It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.
HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS.
It take about 20 seconds.

this guy tryed sellin me crack cocaine
This is the same as the 616-980-2584
. Calling my cell phone to get me to renew a nonexistent auto warranty. How do we get them to stop?
They keep calling from different numbers. I'd love to put them out of commission to the point that no warranty would cover the repairs....
they keep calling and won't stop
These people are scammers. That is obvious, but the reason that they keep calling your cell phones is because cell phone numbers basically went "public". Telemarketers can now call your cell phone numbers. There is a phone number you can call to have your number removed from the list. It may can be googled... I lost it b/c my boss gave it to me & I called it immediately and tossed the paper in the trash. My husband keeps getting these calls, so I have got to get his cell taken off the list too.
I got a call from this number as well as a related one a couple of days after getting my prepaid cellphone.
I'm just wondering how a privately used number like that was spread out so fast!
This number keeps calling our cellphone. We never answer calls that we do not recognize as family/friends.
I just got one call from this number today, for the first time. I had left my cell phone at home so I was unable to answer it. They left no message. When I tried to call the number back, an automated message told me that the number was unavailable. Weird. I really hope I don't get harassed by this number like so many people are!
I wish they would stop....someone stop them OK!
Why the hell keep on calling again and again. Is there any way to block them? I am getting really frustrated.

Called my Cell number, I have blocked the number on my VOIP phone service.
The Cell call cost me $0.25 for the 6 seconds to listen and hang up; the information I relay helps me to feel like I am recovering my investment.

I like Ro's idea OR answer the phone and keep them fumbling on the line for as long as you can. These calls are costing them money so if their calls are only resulting in "costs" rather than producing income they will STOP the calls...... eventually.
While it is not a solution, it may avoid the annoyance. Since I don’t have an option to block the number on my cell phone, what I’ve done is added the number to my address brook, recorded 4-5 seconds of dead air(silence), and then made that the ring tone for that new contact. This way, if the number calls, I am at least not bothered and I don’t pay for the call unless I pick it. Again, it is not a solution, but a possible work around.
By the way, to anyone who has listened to the entire bullshit message, does pressing 2 at the end do any fucking thing to get yopu removed off of it?
So my advice. War.
just kidding. :]
I pressed 2 Mar 13th, 2009
I hate this bullshit!!!!

Fuck these ASSHOLES.
by the way, i completely agree with complaining to the FCC about them. and maybe even the better business bureau.

Some of my IT freak friends have the equipment to track guys like this down, but it costs $$ and time. If they piss me off enough though, I might get the initiative to do so. And whoever's doing this won't want that... believe it.

they keep calling me - now at home and my cell. I just reported them to the FCC please do as well. Maybe we can get these idiots to stop http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html.
I've been getting these for a whole year and I still dont have a car
I just got a new cell #, and they've been calling me ever since the first day i've activated it. UGHHHH!!!!!!
I got this call thinking it was my employer. But it wanted to renew my warranty for my car, I don't Even HAVE A CAR!!!

xxxxxxxxxx Mar 13th, 2009
These people are trying to fax my cell phone. Get several per week.
It is making me so mad.
I am tired of this Warranty bull.
Something about "This is the second notice on your factory warranty" I tried telling them i had over 200,000 miles on my car and no warranty would help that, and i told them to put my name on the do not call list but it continues.
If anybody knows where this "computer" thing is tell me and ill go take care of it.
Thanks to those commenting, I knew not to answer.
I am listed with do not disturb, however, this number called me and hung up. When I tried to call it back immediately, what I assume to be an operator, told me this number is no longer in service! Is this some way "whoever they are" gets away with calling without permission? I don't answer the calls I don't recognize, EVER! But, I do try to find out afterward who made the call. Thanks to forums like this one, we can at least make them public for awareness sake.
What I don't understand are people who think this company somehow "got my number" from somewhere else. As if it's that hard for to robot dial random numbers and remember the ones who answered the call.
And yes this is a "scam"
I got a call on my cell phone but I did not answer it. When I tried to call back I was not able to connect. "# you have dialed is not in service" ...
This caller continues to call my cell phone at least once per day for weeks. Always same computer message that my car warranty will expire shortly. They are 35,000 miles late and I have 100,000 mile full coverage extended warranty. The only way they could get my number is from Sprint. So much for privacy.
I started to ignore but when I answered, some automated voice said something like " your car warranty is about to expire blah blah blah this is the last time we will try to contact you. Please stand by." I asked what the name of the COMPANY is so I can do some research/investigating on it and some women said "Warranty Help Desk". She asked what kind of car I have and said something about transferring me to another Representative. Im like ????? I did some research on it and end up finding nothing but this website. I called back the number and GO FIGURE! IT DONT EXIST. If it smells like SH@#$ it probably is !@#$ can you dig it?
They dont have your number. They call all the numbers in a row like 0001, 0002, 0003, 0004 on to 9999.
This number just called my cell
Friends, Just stop answering your phone when you see a number you don't recognize. If you have voicemail, use it to screen. Seriously.
Please be aware that cell phones aren't safe from auto-dialers. They just pick a starting number and let the dialer do it's magic.
was getting this on my tracfone (pay as you go -- both calls and text messages)... now we have Tmobile and am getting the calls on my Tmobile (less than a week old). Got through to some chick and she told me that my warranty was about to expire, so I pretended to be frantic, and she asked for the make and model of my car, and I told her "2004 Amigo" (psst, Amigo is the name of a motorized wheelchair at the grocery stores)...she said she couldn't find a 2004 Amigo on her list, could I give her the manufacturer -- I told her "Krogers" but that I used it most often at "Giant Eagle"... she said she still couldn't find the manufacturer. (I was just dying of laughter). Idiots... all prior posts regarding it being a disconnected number if you try to report it or try to call back, are correct... not much you can do to stop the calls either -- but YES ... they DO call prepaid phones, and it's a hassle.
Call came in on my cell phone. I don't give out my cell phone number to anyone but family and friends, so who knows where they got it. I don't answer calls unless I know the caller, so I didn't answer. I am so tired of this garbage. First the home phone, now the cell phone. It doesn't seem to matter if you are on the "Do not Call" list or not.
They are calling me atleast twice a day for warranty renewal. Is there any way to stop these calls ?
I told these people repeatedly, to remove my number from their database, and put my number on their "do not call list", but they keep calling. I suppose people in India do adhere to the rules and regulations.
They call me all the time too. Can't submit the FCC form because these scammers spoof the number that shows on my caller ID so when you fill out the FCC form, you can't submit because it says that's not a number that's in use. Yea, I know it's not cause when you call it back it's just a disconnected number. So these jerks spoof the number that shows on your caller ID to a number that's not in use so when you go to create a complaint, you can't because per FCC the number calling you has to be legit. I guess I'll have to just endure the calls unless there is another option.
have had several calls from this company using various numbers. Last call I got, I was prepared to collect company info and they hung up on my first question "what is the name and address of your company?"
They call me at lease 3 times a week, don't reply to them unless you want to become a victim of this ilegitament scam.
There was none. I answered call and no one replied. I received this on my cell phone. My cell phone number is known only by very few friends and family. I own a car, but I do not have a warranty on it any more. OUTRAGEOUS!
MapleDragonfly Mar 11th, 2009
did comcast sell my number? NO ONE ELSE HAS THIS # but my family - only Comcast - to set up service - did they sell my NUMBER??? !!!!!!!!!!!! I have gotten calls for 4 MONTHS STRAIGHT FOR CAR WARRANTIES - I DON'T HAVE A CAR!
DO I COMCAST Mar 11th, 2009
just another unsolicited business trying to sell yet ANOTHER car warranty - I don't even have a car! MAKE THEM STOP FCC!
This number called during my dad's funeral service yesterday 3-10-09. Thankfully did not answer, but looked this up today. Yes, these people should go to HELL. Whoever is the kingpin for this scam, is lower than a smeared pile of shit on a sidewalk. THESE are the kind of people who should be sent South of the Border and be shot or decapitated...that would only be a prelude, and since they have worthless brains anyway, it wouldn't be ANY loss to humankind/kind humans. They have absolutely no right to live on this planet and I wish they too will suffer a horrible death someday, not only to them but to everyone who works or makes these calls for them. They are ALL NOTHING BUT SCUM! Bad, bad Voodoo is being sent their way starting today!
Voodoo Doll Mar 11th, 2009
A call warranty fraud call. I have never owned a new car and the number they called me to , I have never provided it to any bank or car dealer/manufacturer. total fraud.
They have called me 15 times the past month
IGNORED THE CALL. GOT THE CELL PHONE 5 YEARS AFTER I GOT MY CAR AND ONLY FAMILY KNOWS THE NUMBER, SO IF IT WAS A "WARRANTY" CALL, THEY ARE DEFINATELY A FRAUD.
Someone keeps calling from this number and I don't know how to get them to stop calling.
"Warranty on your vehicle may have expired..." (No kidding!? My vehicle is over 10 yrs old!) This is obviously a scam, someone phishing for information. Waste of my time!!!
I have registered with the donotcall.gov website, but it hasn't yet taken effect. I will report this number in any case. Let us all be a "squeaky wheel."
Called my AT&T cell phone on 3/5/2009 @ 12;16;44
Kathryn Cormier Mar 11th, 2009
Our government passes laws it has no intention of enforcing. Our govenment allows this fraud to proceed with no attempt to stop it. For all the good it will do, please report this scam to donotcall.gov. Perhaps if there are enough complaints, some lazy FTC bureacrat will get off their ass and actually do something. I doubt it, but it's worth a try. If you like this sort of thing, just wait for government health care. (Hint: doctors and hospitals all over the country refuse to treat Medicare patients because of government mismanagement, below-cost of care reimbursements, and that is the model that the liberals want to implement for everyone.)
Same old cr*p. No message left on answering machine.
called me march 5 at 2:38 pm, I don't give my number to anyone except colleges (I'm HS senior) so I don't know how anyone else would get it.
i just received a call from these guys for the first time. the only company i have given out my number to was time warner cable for an internet service! i am always cautious as to who my number goes to and i am about 80% sure it was these jerks from the cable company who sold my information...
Scam caller - these people should be severly beaten.
anoising calls, keep calling me...
I received numerous calls about the "second notice that the warranty on your vehicle is about to expire" on my home phone. This continued for months. These bozos are now calling my CELL PHONE, from several different numbers so I can't always avoid the calls.
Chris Farley Mar 10th, 2009
I received a "second notice that the warranty on your vehicle" scam call from this number on 3/10/09 at approx 9:12 am.
If you get a call from “Warranty Help Desk”, it is actually just a front for “Vehicle Services Inc” (www.vsiwarranty.com), which is selling fradualent auto insurance policies underwritten by Consumer Direct Warranty Services and several other companies. IF YOU WANT THESE CALLS TO STOP, YOU MUST FILE A COMPLAINT WITH BOTH THE FCC AND FTC. The FCC allows consumers to file a complaint whether or not your number is in the “Do Not Call” registry. The FCC complaint website is at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm. FTC complaints do require that your number be listed in “Do Not Call” for at least 30 days before you can complain. The FTC complaint website is at https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx. BE WARNED that Vehicle Services Inc. does NOT have ANY relationship with the manufacturer of your car; in fact they don’t even know if you really own a car!
Thank you for the web site. How they got my number I do not know except it is a new one for me.....phone company insider or selling info? Interesting.
I am glad you have this website. I never seem to be available to pick up the phone when they call, but this is about the 4th call I've received, from similar types of numbers. They never leave a message.
I am glad looked up the number to find this site with info! I registered with DNC on Feb 18th and this was my first sales call. I wonder if there is a connection.
These people called me at 11:00 at night, so of course I didn't answer. Reading the posts from other people here was very helpful to figure out who it probably was, though. Thank you! :)
why the hell and who is this, is it a scam? How does it work i dont understand
I get a call from 866-209-7845 about once a day. I do not answer these calls because I don't recognize the number.
My friends who have answered these call say they are a "Car warranty scam"
Try telling the sales person that you are going to find out where they live and kill thier dogs, grind them up into hamburger and then feeding them their own dogs. That's only after you kill their kids wife/husband and everthing that contains thier DNA.
Got a call from this number in the morning. Typed one to speak to a live representative and googled the local police department's non emergency number. Told operator to "call me at my other number" so I don't use too many minutes, lulz.
I've been receiving 2 calls per week regarding a car warranty expiration. I finally talked to someone and asked to be put on the "do not call" list. The person hung up on me. I called back and got a recording that the number was no longer in service, although it seemed like their own message and not the normal phone system message when a number is out of service. Later the same afternoon they called back but the caller id said "blocked" instead of listing the 866 number. When I remained on the phone (dial #1 when you get the menu) the person that I talked to hung up on me as well.
I get a call on my cell phone every few weeks. Recorded message about "my" extended warranty expiring. I have no extended warranty. Do not do business with these scammers.
I've gotten at least 1 a day for 6 Months!!!
More of the same, crumb grinders who pray on older senior citizens.
Hope the State Attorney General shuts these fools down real soon!

This nut job company called today 3-5-09. The call is like everyone else's, My car warranty is expiring 2nd notice. I don't have a car warranty on my vehicle to begin with. I got this type of call 2 weeks ago, I thought it was this number and had reported it to Verizon. It seems this call today is another company doing the same thing so I reported this one to Verizon also and now both numbers are blocked. Something is up. Im on the DNC list and all of a sudden I am getting all these weirdo calls.
Receive this call from time to time; always the same thing, "Your warranty is almost up, this is your second warning!" And funny thing is, I still have two years left! I wonder if they really get any sad people with these calls...
Two more calls from this number in the past week; my phone's set to auto-forward-to-voicemail for this number (and all their others -- they've got a bunch). I fear it does no good to do so, but I did contact T-Mobile to provide details on the company, its tactics (using a toll-free CID number to force people who call back to reveal their own numbers), and the number of calls I've received from them.
Same scam as always -- used car warranties. Ugh.
I keep getting this call. How do we get rid of them?
Next time, I'll blow a whistle in their ear!
I am having the same problem too. Does anyone know if we all can sue this company?
This is really furstrating to answer these people. They have been wasting my cell phone minutes, calling me at home number and also at work number. I dont know how they got access to all this information but it has become very annoying to deal with this company. I even hit button 2 to get myself excluded from their calling list and yet they keep on calling me. Few times I even spoke with these jerk salesman and they guy promised that he will take my phone number out of the calling list and yet same jerks calling me again. I am so tired and dont know what are my legal rights to sue these freaks.
I don't even HAVE a car and they're constantly calling me....
from Oregon Mar 05th, 2009
Was receiving the call about twice a week. I told the guy he was calling the US Dept of Justice (the truth) and he immediately put us on the don't call list.
film at 11.
PS: I advised my duty officer...
Yes, it's a car warranty scam. Called me at my office number.

FYI, The law suit was file by AT&T and they are working on shutting them down. File a complaint with your phone company and turn on the pressure to it make more public.
AT&T FILED SUIT IN THE U S STATES COURTS IN GEORGIA TO GO AHEAD THESE CROOKS. CALL AT&T FILE COMPLAINTS WITH THEIR AND YOUR CELL PHONE CARRIER TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST THESE PEOPLE. FTC AND FCC DON'T SEEN TO BE DOING ANYTHING, THEY'RE PROBABLY GETTING PAID NOT TO DO ANYTHING! AT&T ATTORNEY ARE DAVID BALSER #404-527-4000
I got a call from this number for the first time tonight, got nothing but silence, I said "hello" and got nothing, and then a hang up. Well, I don't own a car. Though my phone is from verizon, I'm not thinking DMV people, I'm thinking cell companies. Sold off our numbers. My friend has sprint and he too is getting calls just like this. Unsure of the number though.
eighttwoeight Mar 05th, 2009
I just got this call on my cell phone. As others have mentioned, this is a car warranty scam (my own car is 15 years old and I bought it used for cash). Whoever this is, what they're doing is highly illegal as unsolicited calls to cell phones are prohibited by law.
NueveFiveOh Mar 04th, 2009
This number called my cell phone, and a machine said something about it being the second warning that the warranty on my car was about to expire before I hung up.
Used to getting these on the house phone, first time they've hit my cell phone though. I get these warrenty offers in the mail as well and my first name is mispelled on it. Funny the only place it was ever spelled like that was DMV! A nice man at the social security office pointed it out to me about a year ago. So these guys speel my name like only DMV does, they know what kind of car I drive and they have my private cell phone number??? Sounds to me like someone at DMV is making a little side money selling lists!!
Got a call from this number today at 8:31 at night. I rushed to the computer and brought up this soundboard. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/flash/play/1864 Jack Nicholson soundboard. I played the chick on there for about 2 minutes and she started laughing and then I kept going and she hung up.
Scammer Hater Mar 04th, 2009
Disconnected after long pause. called my cell.
Got a call from a person identifying himself as "Luke" who said he wanted to extend my warranty on my car (I DID buy a new car about 3 yrs ago). I asked him what the name of his company was and he said "Warranty Helpdesk". SCAMMER! BEWARE!
