Just got this same call. Total fraud.
I just got this same call saying the same thing that everyone else has committed about here and I know it's a scam.
Scam still active 6/22/2017. Just called today. Had the local police chief call them back and screw with them. Reported incident to IRS online reporting site.
They are criminals !They left a message . Hello
This call is officially a final notice from the IRS internal revenue service. The reason for this call is to inform you that the IRS is suing your name on a lawsuit because you have tried to do a fraud with the IRS internal revenue service . We are taking legal action and issuing a arrest warrant on your name . To get more information regarding this case file just call us back on our department
Just got a call from 844 568 2989. Tried to reverse look up the number but even those guys over at anywho.com are trying to make a buck off of us. Glad I found this site don't call them back it's a scam. How can there be a final notice if no first notice is received? I called pretending to be my girlfriend's legal counsel, and he told me to shut up and hand the phone to her. It's a very unprofessional and poorly coordinated scam. That being said we all know the irs's reputation on customer service, but don't worry if you do mess your taxes up they will notify you via mail. Thank God for this site; my girlfriend was having a panic attack. I wish sites that used to do reverse look ups on phone numbers for free still existed so we could track these bastards down but hey at least we can help each other out on this free one.
Got this call today also, so sad people are looking to scam others. Please be very careful and inform all your family and friends about this scam, especially your elderly loved ones.
Just got same message that I was having an arrest warrant "on" my name because I tried to "do" a fraud "on" the IRS lol. If you are going to attempt to scam people try learning the language here first. Pathetic enough you are trying to commit a crime and doing it VERY BADLY as well as thinking anyone with a half a brain would even buy into this....morons
I just got a voice message from a recorded woman's voice saying this is their tfinal attempt to contac me. They are putting an arrest warrant out in my name for insurance fraud. I'm about to freak out. I haven't even done my taxes for this past year anyhow. Nor have I ever been audited. What and who are these people? How did they get my number?
I am a CPA and got this call. Please everyone, we have been warning our clients for years, the IRS will never call you. It is a scam. Don't call back. They won't know who you are unless you call and tell them. Never give any money, debit card, bank account info etc. Voice mail on my phone. Woman recording sounding like the IRS help desk.
These idiots are back threatening to take me to jail for outstanding IRS debts
IRS scam. Indian lady and man accusing us of tax fraud, demanding 5k to get out of it, told us to use Walmart "voucher" to pay. Total scam!!!!
Called corporate number. Could be over a dozen of us! Lol. Arrest warrant issued, IRS, etc. same as comments below. Someone needs to put an arrest warrant on them
Same for me and my wife... fraud, warrant, arrest "on" my name. Total BS, IRS doesn't work that way. Nor do they speak broken English and use an (844) number. People suck.
Received 2 voice messages back to back saying Intimidating female voice warns on imminent IRS action due to fraudulent tax documents submitted by me in the past. I tried calling it back and it just tells you to leave a message no one available. Here is the real IRS phone # 800-829-0922
Second call from them. Both left the same voicemail. I assumed it was a scam, and this page verifies it.
Just got the call for the second time! The lady had an Indian accent saying I will be arrested if I don't pay now. I know it's a scam. They need to be shut down.
Just got a call from this number 10 minutes ago. It's about a warrant for my arrest pertaining to a tax fraud so and so. First it was a lady with Chinese accent then was forwarded to a certain 'Micheal Johnson' who has an Indian accent. He was forcing me to pay $4892.00 now or I'll be arrested.
Received automated message claiming from IRS saying it was my final notice that there was a warrant for my arrest for attempting to fraud the IRS and to call +1 (844) 568-2989.
"IRS" call re a fraud claim. They are "filling" a lawsuit against me and issuing an arrest warrant "on" my name.
