By the way, KP in NJ, those numbers DO look VERY familiar.... I have over ten numbers these people have called from... 402-982-0442, 208-783-0733, 202-610-3068, 818-870-5081, 866-209-7845, 626-207-9192, 810-742-6219,
310-599-9153, 609-662-3250, 818-870-5076, 310-599-9159, 847-232-3321...
This is bullsh*t!! There should be something we can do to get these people to stop calling! I was thinking about sitting down after midnight on a weekday... marking my number private and start calling these numbers back. Hopefully, if I can find a working number and someone picks up, hang up and call back in about five minutes! Give them back some of the hell they've been giving all the other hardworking people!!

Here I thought I still had a valid warranty on my '96 Intrepid. These kind people let me know it has indeed expired.

Just got a call @ 10:40 AM with recorded message about our "auto warranty just expired". I'd like to find the telemarketers home phone number and let 'em know at 2:00 AM how much I appreciate their reminder. Never buy anything from cold callers.

Automated message claiming the warranty on my vehicle had expired, and press 1 to speak to a representative to reactivate my warranty. Total scam, they weren't even good at it.

I answered my cell phone without looking at caller id due to a recent death in the family (expecting calls when I normally don't expect calls). Instead I get this JUNK call that did absolutely nothing when I answered. No sound, no message. But it DID allow AT&T to charge me $1.10 for "using" my phone today. These cretins are human garbage.

If you've been a victim of (818) 870-5076, the company that is providing our information to telemarketers is called TM Caller ID. Look them up online. Call them directly: Tel: 866-225-1956, Fax: 503-296-2500, E-mail: dnc@tmcallerid.com....tell them to STOP GIVING YOUR INFORMATION!!!! They are the ones truly responsible for us being harassed.

Hey EVERYONE there is only way to get back at them.

How??

lol.....well i got a call from them today as well.and its not the first. so this time i decided to give them a taste of their own medicine. i decided to follow through with wat they wanted. i gave them my car (fake) info and they approved me for a 5 year warranty. then he asks me whether i wanted to pay cc or mail (i think). i then told him that i decide not to get the warranty. he kept telling me that i need it that my car wont last long and this crap. so i asked him to hold (lol he was on for a long time) talked to him again and eventually he couldnt take it and hung up........BOY DID THAT FEEL GOOD. loooool...........so i think everyone should be doing this....just pick up and make them happy and tell them you want the warranty. give them a fake cc # so they can see how we feel..........and i GUARANTEE you will feel soo good.....lol just release the anger......pleasantly though.....feel free to email me and let me know what happend streetthug003@aim.com :)

Tried to sell me a extended auto warranty on my do-not-all registered number. The guy claimed to be from the Warranty Division of America, would not give a corporate address. After 25 minutes of leading him on he claimed to be from Michigan, clearly a supervisor came on an hung up the call, so i claim victory. Such a scam, the guy quoted me a number, on the flimsiest of information i supplied (about a non-existent car).

Yet another unknown call to my cell phone. When I called it back, I got a recording and the prompt didn't work for removing my number. Imagine that. Probably yet another auto warranty scam or some such nonsense, since it's not a number someone answers.

I've received calls with this "your car warranty is about to expire" message literally every weekday for over three weeks, beginning on or slightly before 1 July 2008. I believe some of the calls are from different phone numbers, but the message is always or nearly always identical.

The calls nearly always go to voice mail. Twice I caught the call and pressed 1 to speak to a rep. Since my 3-year car warranty is in no danger of expiring, they clearly knew little about me. The first rep, a woman, asked my car year, make, and model and I said I was hoping she could tell me that. She couldn't, and she became rude when I asked to be removed from the call list and said in a fake-pleasant voice that she'd take care of it, and hung up on me. That was two weeks worth of calls ago.

Today I spoke with Andrew or Andy and asked him to remove me. Instead of agreeing, he insisted that my car should be insured first. I lied that I don't have a car, and instead of getting the point, he questioned my lie. These guys are painfully insistent. He then said he'd remove me but I expect another call tomorrow.

Another forum post said someone bought into their scam, and was indeed scammed for close to $2000, which I suspect is what keeps them going.

No message, got a feeling it's the creeps for the "car warranty crap". I don't know why the Fed doesn't go after these clowns. When I contacted them and told them I needed an address so as I could notify authorities, they just hung up. CREEPS!
