Portfolio Recovery - This is nothing more than a RICO operation disguised as a legit collection agency - they are an illegal boiler room operation, albeit a very large "room" and really...these people, including the employees who are complicit in the criminal activity, need to be arrested and prosecuted...and they will be...just a question of when.

There is a derogatory picture of Muhammad on their website. As a Muslim, I am deeply offended by that and I have contacted them and asked them to please remove this picture off their website. I hope that they will do so or I shall contact them again.

This is their despicable website:

Got a call on my cell phone about the fact that my warranty may have expired, even though I have not owned a car for more than five years. I got the same robocall on a landline a few days later, and decided to say on the line for an operator. When the operator came on, and immediately asked for make, model and registration information, I said the warranty on the last car I owned expired about 7 years ago, and asked where they were getting their information from. The operator immediately hung up the phone.

Very shady.

To everyone who is confused about this number. It is obviously a spoofed caller id. Don't bother calling it back, as that's not even the same person as who is calling.

Caller ID spoofing is real and is relatively easy to do, especially with VoIP.

i believe they are building a telephone database of active phones they can put in major database
this will be sold to companies who want numbers of people they can solicit later on

it has nothing to do with warranties.

if you pick up or respond, that is recorded as a sucker who will take a call or has an active telephone

they use different nunbers all over the U.S.

got the same message, I called back. Number not in service. How can that be. Could a person clone a phone number like this one a threaten the life of a President. Would then our goverment put a stop to these phone cloners/ spammers. I think I might try to get a number like 817-759-1364 and call our President that his warrantie is about to expire.

THIS HAS BEEN A REPETITIVE CALL FROM TELEMARKETING. THEY COME FROM MANY DIFFERENT CITIES. IT CONCERNS A WARRANTY THAT I DO NOT EVEN HAVE, AND THEY HAVE CALLED ALMOST 20 TIMES NOW FROM DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE COUNTRY. WHEN I GET A HUMAN BEING ON THE LINE AND ASK THEM TO REMOVE ME FROM THEIR LIST, THEY HANG UP ONE ME. IT IS VERY ANNOYING AND DISRUPTIVE. NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU ASK THEM TO REMOVE YOU FROM THE LIST, THEY DON'T. REALLY OBNOXIOUS.

Received harrasing call to my phone from:

Fabiola Ramirez
2800 Murphy St
Fort Worth, TX 76111
(817) 759-1364

there are a bunch of these people all living in Texas with Hispanic last names abusing and harrassing people over the phone.

They get your number when you call back the missed call, and then they pass it onto their friends to harrass you.

REPORT THESE TELEMARKETERS, PRANKSTERS!

Got a call, not the first for this. Last time though it was from a Florida area code (can'r remember which one), it didn't have Faviola Ramirez on the caller ID. And last time, I spoke to someone and like others, asked them which car? I live in NY, I don't own a car. It's definitely a phishing scam of some sort.

I get this about once a week, its my business cell phone, and I don't know which clients might be calling from what phone, so I always have to answer witht he whole thing, and its just a "second offer" on a vehicle warranty. One, I don't have a personal vehicle, two, the people who would offer me a warranty on my work vehicle wouldn't call me, three, my work vehicle is unwarrante-able, twelve, I kinda know something about legal warrantees in my state, Q, I know about used-car scams in my line of work... I'm just babbling, I'm so lonely...

This guy called me last night on my cell phone... and if he is cold calling that is completely illegal. It sounds like a scam and I am probably going to file a complaint on the FBI website since it crosses state lines.

I have been getting calls like this frequently almost always around 5 PM. I have learned not to pick up. Once I did answer and screamed at the jerk trying to sell me an extended warranty on my car. I told him to take my name off his telemarketing list and he said "Have a nice day". If you dial this number you get a message that you have reached a disconnected number. This is obviously a scam.

same here, i received the call and did not answer either. I then returned the call and kept getting a busy signal. TOTAL BS because if they are offering a legitimate product, you think that they would equally answer the phone as they would be making the calls. Beware, this sounds like some kind of scam to me. Fabiola Ramirez might just get a personal visit by the authorities if his/her crap persists.

I received a call, automated at first, saying that my vehicle warranty was up and this was my "second courtesy call". I never got a first, and didn't recognize this number. I stayed on the line to talk with a representative, and when she picked up to ask if I wanted to extend my warranty, I asked, "Which car?" She said something about offering warranties for cars. I told her - louder this time - "You called me, you have my number, which car are you calling about?" Apparently they're trained to know when someone's got them in a corner, so she said, "We'll remove your name from our calling list, have a nice day." and she hung up.
