OK, I got info on these car-warranty-expired-scam people, after talking to one of their representatives. They are VSI, Vehicle Services Inc, and their website is

http://vsiwarranty.com.

That website gives their real phone numbers as 636-447-0158, 866-925-1783 (sales) and 866-315-1555 (customer service) The 636 area code would place them in east central Missouri near (but not including) St. Louis, according to Wikipedia.

Their fax number is 636-441-1604.

They sell warranties for the following companies:
Consumer Direct Warranty Services: http://www.consumerdirectwarranty.com/
MBP Network: http://www.mbpnetwork.com/
Consumer Care Direct: http://www.consumercaredirect.com/
Royal: http://www.royaladmin.com/
Warranty America LLC: http://www.warrantyamerica.net/

its a scam. the guys name is brandon using a rigged dialer that cant be called back. If you stay long enough his direct number is 877-474-0321. When you call this youll get a recording that says "all are reps are busy please hold" - just keep holding and Brandon (the bastard) will answer. He is doing this to run a big time scam. Call him and annoy him. Or prank call him over and over and waste his time and tie up his lines like he does to you. Or report him to the phone company or to your phone company. Do what you want ... but his name is Brandon and the direct number is 877-474-0321. FIGHT BACK!!!
figured it out

another car warranty scam line. I don't get how these aren't open and shut. Trace the number (somebody's paying the bill), arrest the guy, done.

Auto warranty scam. Calling back the number either yields a busy signal or "this number has been disconnected..." message.

Several calls a week on my cell phone, contains a recording that "This is the second notice that your factory warranty on your vehicle is about to expire." Even my 10 year-old has been getting them on her Virgin Mobile phone. The call back number is fake, I have requested them to remove me more than a dozen times - the calls still persist.
