They call me all the time, I ask them to remove me from their callers list since I am on the "do not call" registry. They hang up on me.

Blocking and ignoring collection calls does not pinch off the source of the problem. It also does nothing to defend one's rights, such as the ability to sue for calling two hours ahead of the default legal hours as Ms. Rose reported.

Bennett must answer to the same laws as everyone else in third party collection, not that he does as a rule. Absolutely you can restrict or ban their calls, but to make it stick you have to use Certified USPS. Also if the collector is notified they've been ringing a mobile phone, that must stop to avoid another violation.

This company refuses to stop calling my cell phone 3-5 times a day. I have asked repeatedly to be contacted solely by mail, they say they do not have to do this. So I then called them five times in a row and was threatened with police action for harassment.
