Some Santiago Muniz called and said, I won a ford explorer. Need to come to office to claim. Address 901, 31st street NW washington DC, 20007. I asked multiple times if this is a timeshare, talked to even the superviser just to understand. dear has no life - i think it is time for you to retract your statement that i have a 3rd degree felony record. if you claim to be such a honorable web site you would continue your investigation and not allow some a-- hole to post statements like this without you investigating. remember there are courses of action i can take also. attacking my business is different than attacking me personally. i get the point that most of your site comments are made by people that have no life. but to falsly slander me personally is i believe against the law. why do you not find out if you are liable for allowing comments on your site without finding out the truth. as you can see i am not ashamed to identify myself with my full name. why don't the a-- holes who made the accusation against me do so. what are they afraid of if it is true. why don,t you post the last entrees first? that would make more sense. sorry you do not have any do you. hope i have not used to many big words for your members i do so appologize to them. since you know so much about me why don,t you contact me and we can discuss this. if your b---s aren,t big enough i will understand. i am sorry that i am defending myself. doesn,t happen often does it> MAY GOD BLESS YOU DAILY AS HE DOES ME>

Dear has no life - i do not know where you get off writing that i was arrested for a 3rd degree felony. i was arrested one time in my life and that was as an 18 year old GI ALONG WITH 30 - 40 other GI's stationed at ft bliss texas. All charges were dropped. get your bulls--t story correct. i apologize to all the people that felt they were being scammed. i never took a cent or asked for any money at any time. we set appointments for various clients and always brought people in the front door. i was a small business man who employed as many as 80 people at a time and all we were doing was trying to make an honest living. their are millions of timeshare owners in this world of ours so i guess your 700 plus complainers are right and they are wrong. you will also be happy to know that my company has gone out of business and i have personally lost everything i had trying to keep my company running for my hard working honest employees. so may you all sleep better knowing i am gone from your life forever. MAY GOD BLESS YOU DAILY AS HE DOES ME.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL DAILY AS HE DOES ME EVERY DAY.

As most here I have received a call from this company. My message was from Bridgette saying that they have tried several time to get in touch with me (this is true because I have always deleted the messages). So for grits and giggles I called the number she left 1-800-918-4224. I got the time share thing... o.k. fine. But they still haven't stopped calling; now they're even calling my cell phone! So I called the other number that Lakisha Griffen gave me 1-800-310-6991. Each time I call they hang up on me. Glad I found this site!

Third part Cont:Along with the injunction, the carrier is asking for unspecified money damages. The federal Consumer Telephone Protection Act forbids telemarketers to use auto-dialers when the recipient must pay for incoming calls.
It costs Verizon Wireless' customer service center $6.50 for each customer calling to complain of spam, Lewis said, adding the federal law allows for $500 in damages per call.
Companies named in the lawsuits could not be reached for comment.
Earlier this month Verizon won $10,000 from Passport Holidays, after the Ormond Beach, Fla., company sent the carrier's customers 98,000 text messages informing them they had won a Bahamas cruise.

second half cont: According to Verizon, this is believed to be the first involving Spanish-language messages. Spanish-language spam more than doubled during 2005, growing to 13 percent of all spam, according to TrendMicro, an anti-virus software firm.
Callers were informed they had won a resort trip and instructed them to call a toll-free number to claim the prize.
When Verizon called the number, they were told by the Spanish-speaking representative that 100 people had been picked and they needed to provide a credit card number with expiration date, Lewis said.
Although the messages were recorded in Spanish, "Verizon customers all across the country, including California and Oregon," were called, according to Lewis.
The second lawsuit claims Cambridge Marketing and Financial Services made 55,000 calls to Verizon Wireless customers telling them they had won a Ford Explorer and asking that they call a toll-free number to obtain their award.

In any language, unwanted telephone solicitation, or spam, is a crime, according to Verizon Wireless.

The company said it filed two lawsuits against three Florida-based telemarketers for the illegal solicitation of its customers.

Verizon Wireless is asking a Somerville, N.J., Superior Court to stop Miami-based All Star Vacations and Marketing Group, Orlando's Travel and Tours Marketing, and Cambridge Marketing and Financial Services of Deland, Fla., from soliciting its customers.

Between November 2005 and December 2005, All Star Vacations and Marketing Group along with Travel and Tours Marketing, made more than 500,000 Spanish-language pre-recorded calls to Verizon Wireless, Verizon spokesperson Debra Lewis told internetnews.com.

Is This Happening To You?

On behalf of those who have previously retained us, the law firm of Fineberg Gresham is investigating complaints from consumers being harassed with calls and text messages to their cell phones. If you have received calls or text messages to your cell phone by telemarketers or others who did not have your express permission to contact your cell phone or wish to report any complaints regarding this practice, http://www.stoptelemarketingabuse.com/contact.html. (this will send an email to our office). We are gathering factual information to determine the nature, extent and scope of the problem for those who have retained our law firm. All messages will be held confidential.

What Can You Do to Assist in Our Investigation?

If you have been the victim of this telemarketing abuse, preserve all facts and evidence of the unwanted calls or texts. Save the message. Most voicemail services only store messages for a few days or weeks. As a result, record the message in another place so that you have it. Save your phone bills which show when the call or text was received. Keep all evidence of the harassing calls or text messages.

I found it strange that they would call my work number (a private number) for something like this, and I did some research and found out that IT'S A SCAM TO SELL TIMESHARES. (Tennessee) Just checked my work voicemail and I too received the same BS message from a "Julia" claiming to have won a Ford Explorer or $25K. Why can't they just be honest and tell you what it is they want, they could save themselves alot of explaining, then only those interested in a time share would bother to call them. argh! OK so I got this same call awhile ago like 6 months ago and the lady said my name was picked out of a drawing that I did awhile ago (which I don't remember entering any drawing)and I was put in another drawing done at the end of this year(which is now)but she called and left a voicemail with her name cut out, that she was trying to get a hold of me for awhile (which isn't true) and to call her back as soon as possible and it was urgent to win and something about the ford explorer or $25,000. But when I tried to call back to see what it was it said "user busy" on my phone and won't go through. It's weird the first time she didn't want anything from me just said i was going to be entered in another drawing ??? And AZgal has the same claim # as me!!!! I just wanna know what they want!

I received two messages in a week from the "Awards Claim Center" Stating I had won either a New Ford Explorer or 25,000 in cash. When I called they stated I had not won anything yet, but had to give them numerous parts of personal information to see if I qualify. I hung up.

I received a voicemail message at my work number stating I won a ford explorer or $25K. From Lindsay at the Awards Claims Center. I definitely didn't enter any contest with my work number as I don't even know my direct work number! I did not call back.

In Atlanta. Got it as a voicemail at work, same script. Claim # HH592 to call back @ 800-918-4224 because i won a Ford Exploder- i mean - Explorer...
Caller ID said Claims Center but my messaging program gave the phone # 434-878-9976

Thank you for this site, pretty cool.
Interesting to hear all the hoops they make you jump through just get a scratch off to see if you even won anything at all!

They called my cell number and said:

My toll-free number is 1-800-918-4224 and your claim number is KP1107. It is very important you give us a call as soon as possible. Thank you and have a great day."

I just returned from vacation and had a VM on my office phone from Lindsey. The message was pretty much the same as everyone else...I've won a Ford Explorer or $25,000 cash and apparently they've been trying to reach me for quite some time. I didn't call back because I figured it was a scam. I haven't entered any contests, so I know that there's no way I could have won anything.

I called Carmen and she said I won a Ford exploreer or twenty five thousand dollars cash. so I gave her my claim number and much to my surprize they applied the twenty five Grand into my pal account. Thank you Carmen at the Awards Claims Center.

Same message, Ford Exploder or $25K, important to call back right away.

I want to call back all exited and say "I won another one! Yes! Two Exploders! My wife loves the first one we got from you, plus we bought two wonderful time shares! Thank you Thank you!"

Can't an authority look into this? Or do we just let them run their scam at will.
