Possibly the collector is spoofing the number of an innocent bystanding business. Not the first time I've heard the like.

I owe a cardiac care doctor $300 according to them. I called them last week and I told them why did they seek a collection company on me and never sent me a bill? all the paperwork I have from them said I owed zero.I plan to email the N.C attorney generals office and maybe file a lawsuit against the cardiac care doctor.
left unintelligible message on voicemail, may have been garbled spanish, apparently a medical bill collection agency fishing for people, looks like company has repeatedly changed corporate names and registrations recently
