This number is registered to CCS. FYI
Left a message to call the number back in order to cease further attempts via phone. I did call back they were asking for someone who didn't live here, said they would remove my number... we'll see!
This is a collection agency that may be a scam because they seem to ask for the name of a person who does not live here.
In my area, the phone company (Qwest) has a new capability to offer customers called "AIN" for Advanced Intelligent Network. This allows the customer to block specific calls from cell phones and toll free numbers inbound to a land line or wired (non cell) phone. You can select up to 15 phone numbers to block. I had to call the phone company repair service to find out about it, and the numbskulls who answer the regular customer service phonje lines do not know about it. The repair people generally understand the system much better. The repair person explained AIN to the customer service person when transfering my call to customer service, who created an order and added the service to my phone line. Works for blocking boys who call my teen daughter at all hours of the day and night. I tell them once not to call after 9:00 PM, if they call again, I block them for good (double meaning intended).
Just tried 800-708-6019
. Operator asked me if I knew the person they had been calling, over and over, I said no idea who he is, said the numbers were loaded a few days in advance but that CCS would stop soon. Hope so
Called me, left that same message. I actually called their customer service and gave them the file number and asked to be taken off of their list. Woman was very nice and promptly took me off the list. Yet to hear back from them with another call. 1-800-708-6019
called us but we don't know who it is. We suspect it is for someone else. Automated, unknown comes up on id. we are unaware of what or who they want since you can't respond or find anything out from automated calls.
This number called me Sunday at dinner time. It was a call for someone who must have had this number previously. The recording said the call was from Certified Notice and tht if the party they were calling is not at this number, call 800-708-6019
and the calls would stop. We will see.
These a/holes are the bottom feeders of colection agents. Do not return their call or you will be identified and served with a civil suit for whatever amount they think they can scam you for. Ignore these A/holes or you will be sorry.
Wrong number, it is CCS (collectionagency) but they were calling my house for someone who doesn't live here
after trying them twice at the number listed here, I got through and they took me off the list
Had a message from them (well their computer) on my cell, if it's medical collections it's definitely not me. Haven't had anything medical in years and no bills behind.
It was funny because the recording was going and where my vm picked up, it said something like "by you staying on the line you acknowledge you are the correct party" and it went on to give some website and reference number. I'm thinking 1) Uh NO! You're talking to a machine you idiot machine! So of course "someone" is staying on the line and 2) I don't know IF you have the right person because I never heard a name! So y'all can think whatever you want you never had a real person on the line!
they try to bully you and they dont care if their wrong or not
They have the wrong number. They call all the darn time & leave messages. They sure aren't going to get paid if they cant even call the right house.

CCS - medical collection agency.
These idiots call me at least once a day, and they have a knack for ALWAYS calling within ten minutes after I go downstairs and am far away from the phone.
This company calles incessantly (for someone else!!). It is extremely annoying-just keep calling the number provided on the message until you actually speak to a human being, record their name and go from there. This will be my first attempt to stop the calls-I keep deleting the messages from the machine but I just can't take it anymore. If this doesnt' work then send a Cease and Desist Letter.
I know its a collection agent but it is not for me. They are looking for Whitney someone-or-other. Its just a recording and no way to talk to a human. I want to be able to let them know they have the wrong person.
Collection Agencies are not permitted under the Privacy Act to give out their company information unless they verify that the person they are speaking to is the person they are looking for. They can only talk to the actual person that owes the debt. Which means that if you tell them your name and birthdate, and your information does not match theirs, then you are more likely to be removed from their calling list. NEVER GIVE YOUR SS#.
You can also send the company a Cease and Desist letter to stop the calls to your home, cell and/or business. You have this right under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the collection agency must follow the law. If they do not then you can sue them for harrassment. Get on line and read the FDCPA and you can also go to www.budhibbs.com, which is a great site for information on collection agencies, the law and there is even a template of a Cease and Desist Letter.
THey call CONSTANTLY - leave a computer V/M about a very important business matter. Whatever. IT's old dept and I am contesting it all wtih an attorney so they can harrass all they want. It will be done with in a while.
I received a call from this number on my cell phone at 6:31 pm on 11/26/07.

From my understanding, harassing you by phone to pay a bill IS ILLEGAL. File a complaint via Web form with the Federal Trade Commission.
Business matter. Hah! The last time heard anything this deceptive was "Amway"
I have some past disputed (very) medical bills and I've threatened legal action to if the calls don't stop.. I've put them on the national no call list numerous times and nothing happens to prevent their calliing and calling.. f em..
After CCS left numerous messages asking for my wife to call them back on a personal and private matter I (husband) finally called them back to find out what they wanted......they claimed that my wife owed our current doctor (and had the doctor's name) $15.00 from a bill that was 1 year and a half past due. They tried to get my exact current address (they had my old address).
I told them to stop harrasing me. Very Rude! I called my wife's doctor and she said we were current with no past due balance. BEWARE! THIS COMPANY IS NOT HONEST!
They keep calling my cell phone - always when I am in class so I always miss them - apparently a collection agency...that I already called back once and asked to be removed from their list because I am NOT the person they are apparently calling/looking for...but they still call back...
Violation of the FDCPA?

Yep, disputed medical bills from me too, none that I incurred handed off by some slimey firm in Las Vegas to this bunch.. .I'm not paying nothing..
Message left saying it was CCS. It asked me to call 800-708-6019. Left file # xxxxxxxxx. Yes, I'm disputing some medical bills.....
I received a message for this number on my cell phone asking for someone who is not me. The message was amusing because it said something like, "If you are not this person, please hang up and don't listen to the rest of the message." Who is actually going to hang up and why should I listen to your demand on how I use my phone?
I just got this cell phone number and these jerks are calling it several times a day. I told them this was a private # and on the fedral no call list. They say they are exempt from it. I hate to tell them if you ask any company to stop calling you they have to stop calling you! So says the FCC. I'm going to report them...
This is a collection agency. They specialize in medical collections. CCS
I know exactly what they are calling for. I had an ER visit a year ago and they did not have my size crutches that day. I went back the next week and got the crutches but hospital admin screwed up and billed me for them a second time. I have resolved the matter with the hospital and the insurance company, but not before the acount was sold to this agency. They have been contacted by me, the hospital and the insurance company telling them to stop calling and they still wont stop...I am in the process of seeking a legal resolution.
Just like Lenny, I called and got the "24 hour self service options" message and then a dead line. Weird thing is that this occurred the same EXACT time last week. Definitely sounds sketchy to me. If it was a very important business matter then I think it would be presented more professionally. Watch out for this B.S. Cheers!
They keep calling and leaving message for my wife to call back with a reference number. No information available when you call back. They tell you 24 hour self service options available but then line goes dead. Assume this must be a telephonic phishing scam. Would like to know who to complain to.
They were looking for a person somebody else and had the wrong number and I asked them to take me off of the list and they said it would take three days. They seemed nice but would not divulge much information to me.
I don't have any outstanding debts with any company. However, I do remember a doctor's office who charged me for a visit that never happened. Maybe they are dirty enough to sell the account to a collection agency. However, the recording says that it is a business matter, but I don't have any business relations. The message they left went something like this: "This is a private and personal call for John Doe. If you are not this person, do not listen to this message. This call is regarding an important business matter.
Please call us back on 877.289.0301. Your file number is 000000000."
It's CCS (Collection Agency)
Person who called pretended to be interested in my company wanting to speak with the owner. Gave a phone number that went to a european company that sells completely unrelated products as my store and not in the US. In truth the number did not match the caller id which was this one. I suspect a collection company because I do have a few medical bills. In any case it seems suspicious.
It is from "CCS" and I didn't write down the acronym when told what it stood for (I had to ask; they never tell you). The woman was nice enough but I refused to tell her my address, birthday, etc. (why should I? I don't know what they want) and she hung up on me. SHE hung up on ME, folks. Whatever this is should be illegal.
It's a collection agency called CCS. I've received calls from them with different numbers showing up on my caller ID. Upon speaking with them, I have not found them to be rude or abrasive; actually, the rep was very nice and helpful. I needed to obtain more info regarding his call, and he was happy to provide it. Today's call was regarding the same matter and has been resolved.
Collection agency. Very rude and relentless. Will never leave message. Will not stop calling when you ask them.
Have no idea who this is...ID says "NOT PROVIDED" and they never leave a message. Last call 5/5/07
Believed to be collection agency.
