Tell the telmarketer, debt collector, scammer.."listen carefully..." Then blow a loud whistle into the phone....
Another number used by the non-profit Dove Foundations. Also see entries on this site for 800-679-0336

These calls come from a non-profit called Dove Foundation. This is their latest reported phone number. Besides the entries for 571-283-6422

. The Missouri Attorney General successfully took action against them - for Missouri residents only, it seems.
Is This Happening To You?
On behalf of those who have previously retained us, the law firm of Fineberg Gresham is investigating complaints from consumers being harassed with calls and text messages to their cell phones. If you have received calls or text messages to your cell phone by telemarketers or others who did not have your express permission to contact your cell phone or wish to report any complaints regarding this practice, http://www.stoptelemarketingabuse.com/contact.html. (this will send an email to our office). We are gathering factual information to determine the nature, extent and scope of the problem for those who have retained our law firm. All messages will be held confidential.
What Can You Do to Assist in Our Investigation?
If you have been the victim of this telemarketing abuse, preserve all facts and evidence of the unwanted calls or texts. Save the message. Most voicemail services only store messages for a few days or weeks. As a result, record the message in another place so that you have it. Save your phone bills which show when the call or text was received. Keep all evidence of the harassing calls or text messages.
Problem: Telemarketing Abuse
Consumers pay for calls and text messages received on their cell phones. More than ever, consumers are being harassed on their cell phones by telemarketers and businesses trying to sell goods or services. Unfortunately, these calls and text messages result in charges or a reduction in the consumers
Skyped this number - it just rings and rings.
Asked to speak to Lesley. I said "No!" and put phone down. Line still engaged 30s later with a recorded message. Finally line cleared.
recieved call in UK, odd voice I could not understand repeated some words, hung up. On UK do not call register but this got through. Very annoying.
1-800-679-0336 (The Dove Foundation) on January 30, 2007 at 2:44 pm on my private unlisted cell phone number.
When I asked them why they were calling me even though I was on the Do Not Call list, they said that they are
a non-profit foundation so that they are allowed to evade this requirement. Looks like not for profit is the loophole.
Kevin Mitnick Dec 05th, 2007
Folks who claim to be on the Do Not Call Registry--
You can be, and non-profits (like the Dove foundation) CAN STILL call you. Certain organizations are exempt. You have to ask the specific non-profit to remove you from their calling list-- or, better yet, equip your phone with blocking capabilities.

Being harassed? Get them to stop:
Anthony Lemons Nov 09th, 2007
I noticed the complaints about this number stopped around the end of September, 2007. So, I decided to see if they changed numbers or modus operandi. Indeed, there is a now another number being reported here on whocalled.us that sounds like the same folks using the same robotic voice responses. Go to the top of this web page and type in the following number: 571-283-6422
You will see a lot of the same modus operandi. They can run but they can't hide. I did not receive a call lately from 800-679-0336. I merely wanted to let people know that they should look at complaints for the new number.
Sherlock H. Nov 04th, 2007
Just a reminder - Even if you are on the national do not call registry you can still receive phone calls from Non-profit organizations or companies you've recently/currently have business with (i.e. credit card companies trying to sell you on their credit protector, or policeman's ball fund raising.) However if you request to be removed from their list and they STILL call you then you can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission @ www.ftc.gov
I checked NumberZoom and they list this caller as the Dove Foundation.

i thought NILES was the lady of the house???
Yo, ur deadbeats, listen up. It's called "live off the grid", son. That's how most people do it.
These Bible-thumpin' cracker heads call my phone asking me for the lady of the house. I said I got some be-atches coming over soon who'd love to talk to you. She hung up.
I received a call from these folks a while back. They asked for me and when I identified myself they explained their whole "clean up TV and movies" spin. I told her that I was a PORN STAR and that I could not agree with her position. She hung up on me and they never called me back!
check out this website on telemarketers:
what can dove do to you...most of you are concerned with collectors...hangup on telemktrs..but collectors won't let you off that easy..

i like big ass fucking dicks n shit hoe..
Today's call from Dove Foundation went a little differently from previous days. The woman posing as "Cami" today was very polite, unlike some of the others.
When I picked up the phone, she said, "Good afternoon, may I speak to the lady of the house?" When I said that there was no lady present, she said, "I'm sorry to have bothered you. Thank you for your time."
At that point, I asked if she would remove my phone number from their calling list, and she replied, "I certainly will. Have a nice day. Bye-bye."
It was a refreshing change from the usual nasty badgering that I've come to expect from them. But, having said that, I still want to kick these people down a deep well.
Recieved this call today around 3:30pm. like the other complaints, a woman by the name of Cami asked for the lady of the house.
I'm on the Canadian version of the do not call list, so I thought it was suspicious that they had my number. I said NO and hung up.
you people just gota tell them exactly what they dont want to hear, so when they ask for the lady of the house, just say shes dead in a kinda sad voice and hang up on them.. they wont call back. worked for me.
"Cami" asked to speak to the lady of the house. This is an automated system. There is no live person talking. The previous call from DOVE showed 1-800-679-0336
. I guess too many people were calling back on the toll free number to complain that it was starting to cost them money, so they switched to this number. This is a scam to sell movies using a non-profit front company to get around the do not call registry.
Dove Foundation??? Doesn't appear to have anything whatsoever to do with Dove beauty products! Maybe they should know that this bogus "foundation" is trolling for dollars. I live in Canada. Go Away!! They call all the time and I'm fed up. Where is that National Do Not Call List we keep hearing about??? Duh. Go Govt.
Called at 8pm. A woman voice said she's CAMI and looking for the "lady of the household". I asked "who are u looking for?" and she immediately says "this is not a call of sales or donations... bla... bla ....bla...." and Hung up?! I totally have no clue!
i've been getting these calls almost every other day for the past few weeks. i've just emailed the dove foundation asking them to remove me from their call list and let them know that if i receive another phonecall, i will file official complaints with the Attorney General, FCC, Do Not Call Registry, and in Canada, the CRTC and Phonebusters.
i urge everyone to contact the company and do the same. each of our actions will add up and make a difference. please take a moment to do this! thanks!
1) Attorney General of Michigan (Dove is a Michigan organization based in Grand Rapids)
3) Do Not Call Registry
"The National Do Not Call Registry applies to any plan, program, or campaign to sell goods or services through interstate phone calls. This includes telemarketers who solicit consumers, often on behalf of third party sellers."
Dove foundation, automated message asking to speak to the lady of the house. Very annoying, woke me up when I was very hung over.
This Cami gal claims to be a part time volunteer. There are 1184 reports on this website of this person called Cami calling. That's pretty good for a part time volunteer. I asked her to read about herself and her superhuman powers on this website. She finally hung up! I defeated an annoying telemarketer!! Goliath!
Person says "hello my name is cami can i speak to the lady of the house" when i told them there was no women living here, she asked for the man of the house, i asked who she was looking for she repeating "can i please speak to the man of the house" and i repeated who are you looking for, and she has the same reply so i hung up, we'll see if she calls back
Just got a call from this woman. Seemed surprised that I didn't support her loony right wing crusade.
Ubalstecha Jul 14th, 2007
Just got a call from her - want to clean up TV. Very surprised that I didn't agree with her crusade.

As a few others have noted, Dove Foundation has begun to call Canadian numbers in the last couple of weeks.
I'm in Vancouver, B.C., and have two phone lines in the house. Both lines get at least one call per day from Dove. If they get the answering machine, the leave no message. Even if I answer, they hang up most times. Once in a while, they ask for the lady of the house, but since I'm single, they have no use for me. That's fine with me because I have no use for them, either. :-)
If this was China, these people would be in front of the execution squad for wasting money by ignoring the Do Not Call government sponsored list. BANG! No more calls.
Received call from this number 11 Jul 2007, (to a cellphone in Ontario, area +1-613). Didn't answer as I don't wish to pay to receive these calls. Canada has wired - wireless local number portability so a caller might not know if a number is a mobile. Still, if you don't know whether your call is costing me $, don't call...
This number calls my business line all the time. Couple of times a day...it stops and then they start up again a few weeks later. They never leave a msg...annoying. With my business line I have stopped answering calls if I don't know the number. I get a lot of telemarketers calling the number...Dove is now calling into to Canada by the way.
Annoying Saturday morning call and left no message.
No message. Hung up.

Called once several days ago. When I picked up the phone I simply pressed the (8) key and held it there until the poor bastards hung up. They haven't called back since.

I too get harrassed by these people even though my number is on the Do Not Call List. I report them everytime they call. When I happen to answer I get "can I speak to the woman of the house?" what do they think that the woman of the house is the sucker who will donate? I just hang up on them once they say "Hello"
Called me repidately over last six months. Finally got annoyed to the point of expletives. She laughed sending me into a string of expletives. Join Me In this practice and they will eventully cease when they can no longer find suckers to make the calls. HELP ME!
So this is another "Gimme" call (Dove), eh? Just what is the Dove Foundation anyway?
Linda DePeel Jun 15th, 2007
hung up when I answered - probably an autodialer. My cell is on the National DNC list
Cammie has called me twice now. The first time she called I was working (I work at home) so I wasn't listening to what she said--thus I answered "I guess" to her first question. She got upset and said she'd call back. She called me back today. I wasn't available to take her call, so I guess she'll be pestering me again later.
This was a call from an organization "promoting better television for children" or something? They weren't particularly clear. But what was clear was that they were using a pre-programmed response system (where the operator presses a particular key on the keyboard based on the responses given - i.e. F1 if yes, F2 if no, etc).
They kept using the phrase "this problem" with regard to tv programming, which didn't make any sense to me. When I asked for clarification they just plodded ahead with the next question. "What the flying fuck are you talking about?" I demanded. At which point the automated voice told me "thank you for your time" and immediately disconnected the call.
Fortunately I haven't heard from them since.
nomsg left. calls at least twice a week
They just called me at 8:09 am!! Did not leave a message.
constantly calling mornings evenings, weekends,on and on.
Called about making TV and the entertainment industry better for young viewers and family.
Please contact there Registered Agent, Secretary of State and the IRS.
calls from this number are received sporadically, isn't caller ID great? Never have talked to anyone yet. Let them waste their time.
Wants to speak to my wife about cleaning up TV. Give me a break.
rioricorick Jun 07th, 2007
Cammy just call me and I ask if they are still being investigated by the attorney general. She said they are non profit and do not call does not apply to them. So I ask that I'd be taken off their list. Maybe now she'll stop calling me.
I received yet another undesired call from "Cammy" at "Dove Foundation," a self-proclaimed non-profit organization. She asked for "the lady of the house." I told her that there are no ladies here, but that didn't stop her. I told her that since my previous requests to be removed from their call list fell upon deaf ears, I would make it my mission to see that the "Dove Foundation" continued to remain "non-profit." Since I am a researcher, journalist, and frequent radio talk-show guest, I will write an article, post the home phone numbers of the "Chairman" and "Director" all over the internet. I then called Richard Rolfe at his home and informed him of the news. Rolfe, like "Cammy" and her supervisor, "Donna," hung up on me. However, before doing so, I advised him to spend some of his "non-profit" bucks on combing through the Do Not Call list. I refused (again) to give my number to these parasites. Let's see who quits calling first!!!

I answered "homeland security" and they hung up
A Lady Called My Private/Unlisted Home Number She Asked For The Lady Of The Home Said She Was From DOVE. Children Services And She Was Doing A Study.
i've gotten countless phone calls from this number on my cell phone, and they never leave a message. tonight i answered and started screaming at them in spanish. it was definitely a real person on the other end and she sounded scared, apologized and actually hung up on me.
a femail recording asked for Natalie. I said this is she & then the recording said "is the lady of the house available then?" I laughed & then the recording said they'd call back later.
Call from the Dove Foundation (NOT the health & beauty company) It was automated, and they asked to speak with the lady of the house. I said no, and they asked if there were any children living in the house. I said no, and they said the call had to do with children, so they wouldn't be calling back. "2 No's" -- Simple enough to get them not to call again, I guess.
Tonight Cami called my house @ 8:45pm asking for me by name. As I go to sleep @ 8:00 she woke me up, which really pissed me off!!!!! I asked to take a message & she hung up on me. I immedialty called the 8006790336 number back and got someone else on the line refusing to tell me the name of the company she referred to as "customer service". After I got mad and yelled a few words in her ear, I said they better stop calling my house. I saw the contact info for Scott Rolfe I think I will call him right now. My time is currently showing 10:54pm, maybe he'll enjoy a late night call to hear my frustration.
Below is the email address and Subject they give on their website to take your # off the list. I just tried it. Hopefully it works.
subject=Please add me to your do not call list.
I don't answer calls with the Caller Id of "Unknown Name" as this call had on it when it came in. Also, they called on Memorial Day and they didn't leave a message.
NOTE: DOVE FOUNDATION, has been fined for violations to "do not call" lists...
(Courtesy of the 'St. Louis Business Journal' on August 26, 2006. "Missouri No Call suit nets $70,000 settlement")
"A for-profit DVD and video retailer and a nonprofit organization that abused Missouri's No Call list will pay $70,000 to the state of Missouri..."
"...according to the attorney general, the Dove Foundation was using that status to solicit sales for Feature Films For Families, a for-profit organization that sells DVDs and videos."
"A future violation of the agreement by the firms could result in contempt of court proceedings and civil penalties of up to $2,000 per violation."
My number was called today, on Memorial day (a national holiday), asking me to see if i agree with several statements. The caller ID said "800 number," which is not illegal in my state, by any business entity... non-profit or not.
"Cammy," doubt that's her real name, came on the line with the 3 questions.
She then mentioned "FEATURE FILMS FOR FAMILIES," when I asked where they were located out of. She mentioned "Grand Rapids, MI". I mentioned how ironic it was that GR, Michigan is the SAN FRAN of Michigan.
I really didn't have time to say "NO, don't call" when she began asking for information.
I am suggesting anyone who is on any no call list, get in touch with the Atty. General of thier state AS WELL AS the Federal Trade Commission.

They left a phone message on my answering machine for "Mary G." my grandmother who passed away in March of 1994.
I felt hurt because I was really close to her and it brought back memories.
Calls everyday and will not stop calling. Told them to stop calling, to take this number off their call list but they continue to call day and night.
she called almost everyday looking for my husband rey. i told her he is at work. she identified herself as cami of dove foundation and she make sure that she speaks to the right person then she started talking about the mission of the foundation and that they're not asking for donations. i told her that she rang us up almost everyday and i did surf the net and i've read plenty of complaints about you and right there she hung up. on her previous calls (many to mention)my 22mos old baby usually the one who answered the phone (speaker phone mode)thinki g it was her daddy calling. then cami will asked for the lady of the house and my baby will put done the phone.
3 calls this week. Left no message on voice mail
May 25 2007
I just got a call from them. A woman identified herself as Cami or something similar, asking for "The lady of the house". I replied by asking who was calling and she hung up on me.
I prompty called back the number, and a woman answered "Customer Service." I explained that someone just called from this number and hung up on me, she asked for 20 seconds to explain why. I replied "No, you are not to call me again", and she asked for my number to take me off their list.
I called 616-454-5021
and used to directory and left a message for Dick Rolfe saying I'm filing a complaint for his repeated calling of DNC.
I also told that bitch Cami that my wife died. If they call again, I'm going to say that she's busy watching The Sopranos with our 12 children.
They've called me non-stop and it's been going on for MONTHS!
I am on the do not call list as well, but if this organization is a non-profit organization (and I believe they are) the DNCR does not apply to them. Look at the guidelines for the DNCR and you'll see.
That being said....these people are ridiculous!! How they handle themselves is criminal in my opinion.
I'm glad i have caller ID so that I never have to answer the phone when they call. They are only wasting their time calling me, not mine.
No response to my several "hello"s. caller disconnected after about 17 seconds.
8006790336 keeps calling and never leaves a message. I called back they answered with "customer service" and wanted to ask questions before telling me who they represent, next they wanted to know about children they want to get involved with!!
Very suspicious, are they intend to kidnap our children?
The female caller spoke about 'better TV for children'. I told her my favorite TV show was South Park and she hung up on me!
Fred Flint May 24th, 2007
Female left message asking if the lady of the house was available. Then said, "I'm sorry," and hung up.
My called ID shows that they Call almost everyday and never leave messages. When I called them and asked to be removed they stated they were exempt from NO Lists because they are promoting better TV for children.
I have found this number numerous times on my caller ID. Even when I am home, I will not pick up the phone when this number shows up and the person calling never leaves a message.
Cami called at 8:10 pm and asked if I was Amy. When I said I was she hung up. I called back and got a different person who said Cami was "in a different office." Claim they are a charity not subject to Do Not Call list. Also said Dove.
Several calls on my caller ID the last few days. Called the number. Person who answered said that they were the Dove Foundation. When I said that I wasn't interested is wasting 20 seconds of my time, was told "Thank you. We'll call back later."

Constantly call our home when requested not to, called at 3 in the morning just yesterday.
I've got this installed on my computer to zap telemarketing calls. Cool and free for users with non-dialup internet connections.
Calls often, just says "Hello". Wish they would quit calling.
constantly calling, won't stop
Unknown. I didn't answer, and they left no message.
Called at 8:02 am!!! Hung up when I stupidly answered the phone without looking - at that time, I was sure it was an emergency.

I filed a complaint with Michigan's State Attorney General (http://www.michigan.gov/ag/0,1607,7-164-17331---,00.html) and suggest everyone else here takes a couple of minutes to do the same. Michigan did indeed follow up with Dove and I received a response from Dove's lawyer. A stupid response, full of white lies; but if enough people complain to the Michigan AG, maybe we can get Dove shut down.
They called and hung up as soon as the answering machine turned on.
According to Wikipedia.org (search "dove foundation") the person operating the phone presses buttons that play audio clips of "Cami." They monitor 4 phone calls at the SAME TIME!
