Calls 7 days a week and at all times of the day. Finally left a message saying they are a collection agency and if I listen, I am admitting I am the person they are looking for. Well, I'm not. I've tried calling their number to get them to quit calling, but I might as well hit a bee's nest with a stick. Same results. And like I said, they already were calling non-stop, so trying to do the right thing and tell them they have the wrong number, it's much much worse.

Caller requests to verify the last four digits of your SSN. Will not provide any other details until SSN is provided. I requested that since I did not know the nature of the call for them to mail me any information. They would not even provide the mail service nor would they tell me anything about the nature of the call. Do NOT provide any information over the phone to anyone if you did not initiate the call.

This is a scam. Whomever this is (it is NOT B of A) pulls public record data and then sends requests for information for 'loan modification'. The data they have to go on is not even current-more like seven years old! Do not send any info - it is a phishing attempt to get your SSN and personal info!

This is band of america. Be careful. They had someone come out to my house when I was working on refinacing with them. He came up and had all the info and paper work with thier name on it. I had received a letter from Bank of America that a representive was coming out to the house, nothing else. So, I filled his info out and sent it to the fax number he gave me. Now, b of a states that he was just someone that was to assess the value of my house and would have no paperwork other than address. That they did not receive anything from him other than the assessment. I'm now totally freeked that someone has all my info and I have asked them to give me answers since they hired him and sent him out and did not tell me that he was there just to check the house out. Since then, they have sent me though a ring a round of calling during hours that I can not take a call, even though I have given them times I can take a call. If I call back, they will state that there is nothing in the note area about the dealing with the guy that came out (infact, I have to retell them the problem each time) and that the loan is possessing but that my loan officer is unavailable. Now, for the third time, I finally talk to my loan office and she said my request has been closed since they are missing some info (which I think I have sent all they asked for each time) but they could start the poccess again and what guy with no worry or concern in their tone. I need to redo my loan but I'm affraid to work b of A. My credit sucks since I was laid off for a month and child support has quite so not sure how likely I will get any help with anyone else other than my current loan holder. I just do not want anyone else to have info floating out in never never land and get no help from the people that let it happen!!!!!

The caller wanted to update our information for the making home affordable program. I refused to give any information over the phone, I don't know if they are really B of A and I wasn't going to take any chances. We have had a loan modification for over 60 days, Why are you calling now?
