I work for a company that does Medicare services. If they are legitimate they will NOT ASK FOR BANK INFORMATION! If you are transitioning from a company that company will have given specific authorization to a particular company to take over their transitioning employees from group coverage to individual coverage. If you are an individual and transitioning into Medicare (three months prior to your birth month, your birth month, and then three months after is your open enrollment period to sign up for Medicare A & B or decide if you want a Medicare Advantage plan). So if they call about Medicare please ask for verification from them as to the agency they work for and WHO THEY GOT THEIR INFORMATION FROM!

Caller is a scammer spoofing Medicare’s #. They asked for my wife by name, when I said she was not available and asked if I could take a message scammer hung up.

After doing a lookup of this number, after nine calls on the same day, the "Almighty Snoop Engine" said it was the Medicare number.
I knew that I could count on being called again, so the next time they called, I answered. The person replied in broken English, and said "is this the person I called." (And sounded confused). There was a great deal of background noise, which included voices, what sounded like a child crying, music, and Lord knows what else. The person didn't seem to know what to say after I asked him what my name was and what he wanted. I then asked him if he would stop calling my number. Which was a mistake. Now I'm getting calls from this number about every twenty minutes. Do yourself a favor and DON'T ANSWER CALLS from this number.

Supposedly, Medicare does not make unsolicited phone calls to private parties. Medicare "supposedly" will contact someone by US Mail. (This was what I was able to find on "The Almighty Search Engine", so take this information with a grain of salt.
I am wits end.

The caller ID clearly stated the call was from Medicare. The caller had all my information to send me a 'free' back brace. Then, she asked for my identification number on the front of my card. I refused and told her she should already have it, she promptly hung up.

Received call from 786-358-6691 Not In Use according to caller ID. Foreign voice (sounded Hispanic) said calling from Medicare and were sending me new card. Had my name, address and telephone number. Wanted the name of my bank for verification purposes. Asked why. Kept saying for verification purposes only. After me asking why they need that for verification 4 times they finally hung up. I then contacted Medicare (1-800-633-4227). Gave them all info. The call WAS NOT from Medicare. They then gave me number (1-877-382-4357) to report this to Federal Trade Communication Center. Talked to them, gave them all info and they gave me a reference number then gave me number for Attorney General so I could file complaint with them as well. Will have to do that tomorrow since they are only there from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. I suggest anyone getting these calls do the same thing. Maybe if enough people file complaints these people will be found and prosecuted.

Caller: Not in Use (on called ID)
