Comment on calls from 800-395-2274

November 16th, 2012 Leslie AZ

When I answer this call, I am told all operators are busy! When they finally get on the phone, they say, Buenos Dias. I say, Pardon me. And they hang up! Hahahaha! Going to block the number now ...

January 4th, 2012 Amber GA

HSBC Card services wants a payment.

January 3rd, 2012 Matt TX

This person calls me multiple times a day, and every time I have answered (which has only been 3 or 4 times), I get an automated speaker telling me that operators are busy and to wait. The 2 times I did get through to somebody, a woman (sounded like the same person both times) asked me for "Kevin Smith". My father's name is Kevin, but not Smith. I explained that I am under 18 and that what her company is doing is harrassment, but she continues to call 2-6 times a day.

*If you notice this comment on a different number, that is because it was meant for this number, but I" had previously looked up a different number and forgotten that it was still up.

December 11th, 2011 Dee TX

This is a computer dialed number that is continually calling customers of HSBC to solicit business for a third party. If you are a customer, on the website, when you log in and go into options, it will not give you the option to opt out of these solicitations, which according to written US law is illegal. Perhaps a mass lawsuit would drive the point home?

November 24th, 2011 Bruce CA

Called 4x each time I answered and they listened and hung up. Finally called back and it is a collection firm, not looking for me but with my number. Despicable behaviour looking to leave a message and not talk live, despicable

November 9th, 2011 not given TX

I have no accounts wih this bank but they call 5 or 6 times a day, 7 days a week do not leave a message, I have even unplugged my phone for several days only to have them call with in an hour of it being plugged back in. Drives me crazy

October 30th, 2011 PAUL VARHOLA OH

Call and leave no message, hang up on me at least every two hours all day.

October 11th, 2011 PP CA

I've been receiving several calls each day from 800-395-2274. When I answer, no one is on the other end of the phone. I finally called the number back and discovered it was HSBC Bank's card services. I have told them that I do not now nor have I ever had any dealings whatsoever with HSBC Bank. They still continue to call. As far as I'm concerned, this is harrassment.

Who are these people? They recently started calling at 5:00 AM 7 days a week, about 2 weeks ago. I answer the phone and not one word is spoken, even after saying hello 3 or 4 times. I hang up, go back to bed and not a hour later, same call and same thing. They even call on Sunday and by the time we come back home from services, there are at least 8 calls on the caller id!! Any ideals?

I have 2 cards through HSBC, an Orchard Bank and a Discover card. Last week I called all of my credit cards about a hardship program because my husband lost his job. HSBC Discover card told me if I paid $29 on 12/10 and another $29 on 12/17 that my account will be current and up to date with no questions asked and after I paid the first $29 there'd be no phone calls. I paid that $29 and all was silent until today, 2 days before the due date of my bill. So now instead of them getting my $29 they're only getting my past due of $15, yes folks $15 dollars...they're calling me for 15 FREAKING dollars...

Curious that someone reported this as an Allied Interstate call back in the Spring. AI is a third party collector and known scofflaw. (Not that Household Credit was much better in my experience) Wouldn't doubt they tried posing as an original creditor to duck Federal law. Last month they racked up a $1.75 million FTC bill, the second largest for the debt industry, for chronic violation of the FDCPA.

It is HSBC bank any credit card you have linked to them. I have an HSBC card from them and they call all hours I got one Saturday night after 9pm and Sunday they started at 8 sharp. Sad but I refuse to answer they do not have the courtesy to put a person on the phone just a recording saying hold if it is that important be there or leave a message. It is just horrible business practice - for a late payment or a sales call it makes no difference to them if they are interupting you 20 times a day. it is only 5:38 est and I have already had 6 calls from them today, NEVER a person.

The calls have started again. I called and raised hell a few months ago and asked them not to call again. I would not mind so much if they called for a reason or if there was someone on the line when they called. A computer probably auto-dials thousands of numbers at one time. If an agent is available he/she will be connected when you pick up the phone. If not, the call will disconnect and piss me off.

I called this number from a phone that does not come back to me. They have been calling my cell phone (listed on FTC DNC list) for months. I send all unknown callers to voice mail. Finally I call them back to stop this harassment.

If you call, they ask for your account number. Press 0# a time or two and you'll eventually get a representative. I told them I get calls several times a day, and they look up my cell # (and last name only) and can't match it to any account. They tell me it must be the marketing department. I ask my number to be removed from their marketing call list and they act like they comply. They also tell me to put my number on the FTC DNC list (which it is). They may be lying, but they acted helpful.

Remember. Don't give too much info. I just gave them my number and last name, and I called from a number not important to me (a free IP phone number).

It is only 10:21 am and these bastards have called my phone 4 times already! Since they just kept calling, never bothered to leave us a message. Ive decided to get out of bed and answer their call once and for all! A recording came on and it went on and on, and on AND ON saying the same thing...That they're a debt collection agency, Allied Interstate something..

When the phone rep finally answered, I immediately asked who they were and what they want. Told him that I thought I heard their recording say theyre ALLIED INTERSTATE. Still, I need him to verify this and tell me what their company name is..Well, guess what? He wouldnt say! He said that if my name isnt miguel so-and-so(my husband), then they cant talk to me. Also said that they were not obligated to answer my questions, that I am not the person theyre looking for. And when he finally listened to what I was saying..that I am the wife! He said that "I maybe the wife, still it is not I that they need to speak to but my husband instead"....

What the hell? are these people for reals?

I may be the wife, but I am also the one in charge of all our finances! Ive asked what the debt was, but they just wouldnt say??? These freaking people woke me up just so they could hung up on me????

Where can I complain? Who do I call? And whats the worst that could happen to these people, to Allied Interstate? will they get penalized or something? I really want to know because these people just ruined my Saturday morning!!!!

If they're calling you on your land line, there are many things available from your phone company to stop the calls, such as call blocker, anonymous call rejection, privacy manager etc. . Just call your phone company and set these things to work. If they're calling you on your cell phone, go into your settings to the call manager. From there you have a list of options on who is allowed to call you. You can set it to allow everyone to call, no one to call, or only allow ppl in your address book. I have mine set to only ppl in my address book. So no one can call me except those whose numbers I have stored in my phone. And thats where all my friends, family, co-workers etc. are anyway. Guess it probably prevents me from receiving an occasional call from someone I might actually want to talk to. But for the most part, it does what I want it to do, none of these telemarketer idiots can even call me ! AWESOME !

HSBC (Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation) is using a "global calling center" based in Manila, Philippines; but, they obviously don't update their calling center's computer screens with either the fact that they've already called numerous times that day, or that they were told specifically WHEN to call back to reach the party they are interesting in talking to (nor to STOP phone calling, and just conduct business via mail).
After the 3rd call in one morning, I requested to speak to a supervisor (named "Anna Sanchez"), but neither the initial operator nor Ms. Sanchez would identify what city/country they were calling from, and wouldn't answer any simple direct questions about HSBC.
I called back into the toll-free number, and reached a friendly, co-operative male agent who answered several questions about HSBC (such as which "card services" they represented -- to try to verify if HSBC had an "established business relationship" or not) and that he was located in Manila.
Will have to "wait & see" if either his or Ms. Sanchez's "updates" stop the calls. (I informed both that we do NOT conduct credit card business over the phone, especially not over international lines.) I will contact HSBC Bank USA headquarters in New York (800-975-HSBC [-4722]) and relay my disgust over their "outsourced" calling center, and its methods of operation.

Phone Number Report: 800-395-2274

They have called 8 times, starting on 1-8-10. They asked for "Don". My husband's told them "no Don here. Please stop calling me."

They are calling a truck driver's cell phone. They have awoken him several times now. The last time (before today) I called them from home. I told them to stop calling & that if they call again I was going to report them to the FTC.

Well, they called his cell phone number again today. I called them & demanded to speak to a supervisor or manager. Then, I put her on a 3-way call to the FTC & filed a complaint with them -- while she was on the phone. She kept trying to interrupt. I lost connection to the FTC & had to call them back.

I also told "Kathy", the supervisor, that if he has an accident because of being woken up by their phone calls -- I WAS GOING TO SUE THEM! Also, I've asked them what kind of scam they are operating. Phishing? What exactly is their purpose? I told them about all the numerous websites with complaints against them. I told them that one site listed complaints to FTC 7,952. I did not disclose this website's name.

The Do Not Call fine is $16,000 per violation. I told Kathy this. This fine is per call. 8 x $16,000 == STIFF PENALTY!

January 8th, 2010 Phone God CO

Phone God

Here's how I stopped the calls. I am going to post this information for every number listed here that my software "traps".

As you may be aware, you cannot block toll-free calls. That is because the creditor is not really calling from a toll free number. Toll free numbers cannot place outgoing calls. The creditors "spoof" the caller ID to look like it's coming from a toll free number, but it is not, which is why your phone service cannot block those numbers.

I am going to refer to two company's products, but I promise you I am not spamming... I am just saying what worked for me. And it works VERY well.

First up is a Zoom PCI V.92 3025C voice modem. You can find them at pacificgeek dot com for 20$

Second step is software called "CallClerk". (callclerk dot com). CallClerk software can hang up on these jokers before your answering machine picks up.

Run a phone line extension to the voice modem in your computer, and install the software. You can set the software to play a message before it hangs up on any number you want it to. I have the software set up to play a recording of "We're sorry, the number you have dialed has been disconnected" to a-holes like this. Actual phone company messages are available at

Turn off the ringers on your phone, and tell CallClerk to play a ring-tone for calls you want to accept. Unless you look at CallClerk's logs, you will NOT EVEN KNOW these jokers have called!

Sound complicated? In a way, yes, you need some kind of computer skills and some will to do this. But, let me tell you, it is SO worth it to take back control of your phone!

December 28th, 2009 Pat NY

when you answer the phone no one answers its a machine telling you that the operators are busy It doesn't identify the caller or the reason they are call nor does it ask for any one specific So what i want to know is if they have no one to speak with you why are they calling

These people from HSBC called me 12 times in the past two days. Since they identify themselves only as "Toll Free Call", don't say anything when you pick up the phone and won't leave messages, why would anyone ever deal with them? Honorable companies aren't afraid to leave voice mails. Judging by what I've read on this site, this is a very underhanded company and I personally won't answer the phone when these people call. They'll get their number blocked soon if they don't knock it off. Where on the FTC's web site do we post complaints?

This number called my home phone. We did not recognize the number so we did not answer. Immediately after our home phone stopped ringing, my cell phone rang - same number. I looked on this site and saw that some reported the number as belonging to HSBC. I checked all of my HSBC accounts. All were paid on time (early, in fact.) I then called the number back. The answer recording said "card services" and asked me to enter the last 4 digits of my acct. number. I did not. Then it asked me for the last four digits of my ssn, which I also elected not to enter. I was then transferred to an operator. I and asked him the name of the company I was calling. He said HSBC. I asked why he would be calling my number. He said he did not know. I said that the only reason I can think that he might be calling is if a payment was late, and nothing is late. He reluctantly admitted that he was calling from HSBC collections. He asked for the phone number that was called. I gave it to him. He asked if the name he had was my name. It was. He said that he could see my accounts and that there is absolutely no reason his department would be calling me, and that there was no record of calls made to my number. I told him that was very odd and a little disconcerting. He agreed. I told him that, shortly before calling him, I did a little research and it appears that I am not the only one that this is happening to. I suggested that he report that there may be some sort of computer problem that HSBC should probably look into. He agreed to do so and apologized for my inconvenience.

If anyone else has this difficulty, I would suggest reporting it to HSBC. Clearly there is some sort of problem.

We do not want to have anything to do with them in the future.

This number has called several times a day for weeks, and they are asking for (probably) the previous owner of the phone. I told them they were calling the wrong number, but they didn't stop even when I told them I would press charges for violating privacy and harassment. After talking to my phone provider (there was nothing they could do other than changing the number), they suggested I called 8003952274 back and pressed 0 to talk to someone else. It turns out that if you dial 8003952274 and press 1, you reach HSBC Retail Services and get to talk to someone. I asked them to never call me again and they told me they removed my number from their list. Regardless, this is harassment.

Just called again, same number, why don't they check their computer records/payment records before making their stupid phone calls!? The bill has been paid!

October 17th, 2009 Anon

Called at 8:30 am my local time (I believe the law states they can't call before 9 a.m.), didn't leave a message on my machine, but if it is HSBC calling about a "late payment"...I made the payment on the internet to their site DAYS ago (before it was due even)'s late because they're stupid company holds your payment for days after you make it rather than recording it the moment you pay. (or you can pay $15 for a 'rush' payment that records instantly). It's an electronic payment, it should be immediate, everywhere else it is without having to pay an extra freaking fee. So what are they doing then, holding it to make sure that you end up paying a late fee? Going to pay off this card soon then they'll be losing my business cause the card is getting cut up and the account closed. Bad business just trying to rip off their customers.

I got 5 calls from this number and 10 from other numbers (866-748-4956, 866-576-1447, 866-929-5307, 866-759-5447, 866-210-1875, 888-748-4956, 866-510-9350) within a 2-week span. The calls were to my FAX machine (a distinctive ring on my regular phone line) and after the first few I started to answer before the fax machine picked up. They asked for a person whose name I've never heard (always the same person, except once), and each time I told them I didn't know that person, that the number they've called has been a fax number for 6 years, and that I don't want to hear from them again. In a few cases I missed the calls but found them on my caller ID and called them back to tell them to leave me alone. They answered the phone as "Card Services" and for my 16-digit account number. They were always apologetic and said they'd take my number off their list within 48 hours. Finally stopped, and I haven't heard from them for the past 4 days.

These people call my home number 10 times a day.... They never leave a message........ And now they are calling my cell phone and I don't even know how they got it...... If I don't answer the first call they hang up and call right back.... So my husband answered my cell phone and wouldn't you know it, it wasn't even for us..... But the man insisted that he was this person.....Of course it was someone who wasn't even this country calling... Some company's now give a link to people who are actually in another country the ability to call to the US using their US line.....

Once my account is paid off I will not use this company every again.......

This is most likely a scam. Since alot of people have accounts with HSBC, the just call millions of people, hoping one of your will think it is a legitimate business call. I am very disappointed in HSBC Services. I took the time out to speak with one of the associates and they informed me that I had until the 15th before any additional late fees and interest were added then a few days later another rep calls telling me that I owe $90 due to the additional late fees and interest added to the card. In addition to this, I just counted the amount of times these people called me in one day. They called 11 TIMES IN ONE DAY! Including the calls on my cell phone. If I am not mistaken, aren't creditors limited to a minimum of 3 phone calls per day?

I REALLY dislike this company and If I ever get another credit with anyone I will make sure it is NOT hsbc. i have complained to them directly about their calling and not leaving messages, and "it's not our policy" just doesn't fly with me. they call from morning to night, weekends and holidays and are a complete nuissance.

They call everyday. Even on holidays. Early morning until almost late night. Even though I pay my bills. They still call.

Very annoying. Begins calling at 8AM and continues until 9PM 7 days a week.

June 26th, 2009 michael

I have been getting these calls almost everyday. I called 1-800-395-2274 listed above, a recording saying your account ending in XXXX has been identified by your phone number. I loooked at my credit cards ending with XXXX. It was an HSBC credit card. I am not late with any payments or have any other issues with HSBC Bank. The voice recording keeps telling me everyday this is your last chance to get low interest rate on your credit card! I'll be dealing with HSBC, believe me, it won't be nice!

caller (with pronounced foreign accent) had my name, claimed this was in reference to my overdue HSBC credit account, then stated "this is an attempt to collect a debt", As all my cards are current, I cut her off and stated "If this is a credible matter, I will address it when I receive written correspondence, in the meantime I will report the number and illegal communication to the FCC, FTC, and Attorney General as I believe this a perpretration of an identity theft scam." and hung up.

They haven't called back.

April 1st, 2009 B NY

Just called AGAIN at 1:25PM EST. Same as before, mispronounced the name, told them that person doesn't work here anymore (even though they do).

Even if this person owes money, they shouldn't be calling him/her at their place of work 3-4 times a day. It sounds like they're calling from some call center in Mumbai.

April 1st, 2009 B NY

Called again at work at 10:58AM, EST. Told them the person, whose name the continuously mispronounce, that he/she doesn't work here anymore.

March 31st, 2009 B NY

They are calling for someone at work whose name they always mispronounce. I usually put the call into voicemail. So far they've called twice today.

If it IS a collections call they shouldn't be calling this employee at work. Next call for this person is getting a response of "No one here by that name" or "Doesn't work here anymore. He/She just got fired because you kept calling & harassing him/her."

March 22nd, 2009 Janice Peters PA

March 20th I have calls posted at 7:43am, 1:10, 2:29,4:45, and 6:42pm. On March 21 my phone lists 7:30, 9:53am, 12:26, 1:45, 2:58, 3:49, 4:25, 5:26, 6:42, and 7:33pm. Most times that I do answer there is no one on the other end. The two times I have spoken with someone it was someone with a foreign accent trying to verify who I am and that I have an account with them. My account is current and I emphatically told them I do not want any extra plans/programs. It is quite annoying that these calls are coming at all times of the day disturbing my household.

March 20th, 2009 Jeff from TN TN

Started calling today but left no message. I do not have an HSBC credit card, so I guess I'll answer the next call and chew someone out.

March 9th, 2009 Eric NC

Same story: They have called me 27 times in the past three days. I am now going to call them, pay them every dime I owe them (like $200) then tell them to close the account. Why do I want to close the account? 27 calls in three days.

March 7th, 2009 Laura

800-395-2274 and 800-684-8429 call once or twice an hour, from 8am Chicago time to as late as 9:40pm Chicago time. I have a credit card with them, and yes, my $35 payment is 2 weeks late. All these calls are really irritating me - 8-10-12 calls a day is ridiculous for what has always been a good account, never over the limit and never late. Plus it's not like I owe them thousands of dollars, my card has less than $400. I GOT LAID OFF and will pay my damn $35 plus the outrageous late fee as soon as I can. All those calls make me NOT want to pay them.

March 1st, 2009 Terry MA

The people calling from this number are harrassing. They won't stop calling. They've called our house 5 times in a 3 hr period. They've called me several times a day for the last couple days. I tried calling back because I always missed the calls, and the prompt told me to enter an account number. No ID as to who the company was or anything. So I FINALLY just was able to pick up when they called me, and the lady on the line asked for Edward Poole. I told her that there's no one here by that name. She was really rude, and insisted that they had reached him at my phone number on February 17th. I told her that I've had this number for a year and a half, so no they didn't. She just said "ok" and hung up. No "I'm sorry for the inconvenience" or anything. I'm in customer service - I'd get in so much trouble with my managers if I treated people like that over the phone! Grr! /rant.

February 18th, 2009 Cheri

This phone number appears on my caller i.d at least 13 times a day. They call 7 days a week and usually start at 7:50am and call up till 9:00pm. I have never answered the calls but its very annoying to see my caller i.d filled up with that dam # everyday. This has been going on for at least 2 months if not more.

If they dont disclose who they are, tell them that they are requried by federal law to identify their name, the compnay from which they are calling and a contact number. If they fail to do that, file a complaint online with the federal trade comission.

This is a scam. I wrote to Sonic Cash (the ones they said I had a loan with) and they said:

"We're sorry to hear about the call you received. There is a group of people who are calling from outside of the United States stating to be affiliated with Sonic Cash. This group has no affiliation with our company, and you have no debt with them or us for that matter. The tactics and threats they use, are to scare you into paying them, which is an illegal tactic under the rules outlined in the F.D.C.P.A. (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act) We ask that you report this phone call to Doug Zloto who is the Secret Service Agent from the Department of Homeland Security. His phone number is 989-497-0580. Again, we're sorry to hear you were contacted by these people, and please be assured they have no affiliation with our company.

Thank You
Sonic Cash

I left a message with Mr. Zloto. I suggest you do the same (do it quickly as you don't have alot of recording time). good luck.

Oh and i forgot. Our number is unlisted and on the do not call list. They also do not leave messages or a call back number. My father thinks they have been calling him at work as well.
Oh and did i mention they call like a thousand F946039cking times a day?

February 2nd, 2009 Brian

Has been calling ALL DAY LONG everyday. Every 5-60 minutes. They have their computer dial you, Most of the time there is no recording/answer just static for a few seconds. They just called a little bit ago, a recording asking you to wait, then a guy comes on who refuses to ID who he works for or what the calls related to besides "A Personal Business Matter". He was a jewish sounding guy, a total P.o.s who got smart with me when i said you don't need to be calling here 20 something times a day. Five minutes later another call from them, nothing but static. If this guy ever calls my phone again i am going to have the number traced, I am going to go to his office and shit down his throat. Hey buddy! I hope you get this message. Fucking Prick!

They call all day, every day, unknown name, unknown caller. The calls start at 8:00 am and stop at 9:00 pm. 12-15 calls per day, Sat and Sun, too. Answered one time and couldn't understand the caller, non-English accent, Indian, or Malaysian, I think. Anyway, we don't answer their calls anymore, we simply turn off the ringer when they call. Even the kids won't answer this caller. If these people want to contact me, they should send a letter, we're in the book.

Here is the link to the Federal Trade Commission. The more we report these people for their illegal collection acts the faster the Federal Trade Commission will act. They can not call you after 9:00pm or before 8:00 am (your time zone), and they can only talk to the person that the debt is for. See the attached link to the complaint form and a link to the federal trade commission debt collection rules.

This will stop them!

My Vonage account shows they have been calling many, many times. I don't have it hooked up to a phone so it always goes to voicemail. I called the number back and just sat on the line, ignoring the prompts to enter an account number. Soon I got an agent and I told him I didn't have an account number but was getting phone calls. I gave him my # and told him my name. He asked if I knew a Jenna [something] and I said no (no idea who that is). He said he'd remove my # from the call list.

I do have an account(2) and they have been paid on-time for years - Earlier this week I received a couple of calls - and finally one left a message asking me to call the fraud dept - I was absolutely shocked and called immediately - of course they wanted me to enter the last 4 of my card - I have 2 so I didn't know what to put - when I finally got through to someone - they couldn't figure out why I was called - they went over charges on both. Then a few days later I get another call (computerized of course) from the fraud dept - it connects me with an agent that asks me what the problem is - finally she wanted to verify a payment? I was angry and perplexed - my cards had holds placed on them as a result of this crap - I'm still not sure what the heck is going on - they are clueless - and unethical and as soon as I can - I will transfer to a more reputable company -

They have called from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm several times a day; I don't even have an account with them. I already reported this since I'm registered in the Do not call list. November 16th, 2008 KP IL

The issue here is that even if you do have an account with them and EVEN if it is past due, it is against the law for them to call repeatedly or make rude or harrassing remards to you. Also, if you are less then a few months overdue, they also aren't allowed to call; it's only after they've reported you to a credit agency. I'm a week past due for like $40.00 and they called me 11 times in one day. So I wrote their customer service center, threatened to report and sue them and told them I'll be closing my account and passing the word along to everyone I know not to use them.

November 11th, 2008 David AL

Maybe you guys should pay your bills on time....then the calls will probably stop!

November 5th, 2008 Glenda TX

If you call 800-395-2274 back you DO NOT get whomever called! You get a recording that asks for the last four digits of your account #. They call my cell and work number several times a day, never leave messages, and the few times I have called the number back, it goes to a recording to please hold for the next available representative, then you are on hold forever. Have never talked to a live person, very irritating. When they call, they hang up and call right back. I refuse to use my cell phone minutes on someone that will not leave a message and when you call them back you are put on hold instantly. If they would leave a message, and it truly is something that I need to talk to them about, I would be glad to call them back and stay on hold for awhile if I needed to.

October 3rd, 2008 HB

I am a member of this dumb credit card company - HSBC (not for long though), and have been receiving repeated calls from this and another number for the last 12 days. I have 85 calls on record and not one of those jack-A's left a message! This is on my cell phone too. I've had no idea who or why I was getting the all the calls until I looked it up on line. Oh I better go make a payment for $15.00 right now! I think I'm a couple weeks late... for the first time in 3 years with them.
Anyway, since this conduct is BS and unprofessional, I have filed complaints with the National Do Not Call Registry, and mostly with the FTC. I don't have a problem with them letting me know I'm late, if they left a message I would have called back and made a payment over the phone even! But anyone who pays idiots to re-dial and hang-up as a way to collect any debt or provide customer service is seriously lacking any common sense... minimum wage for x amount of idiots for x amount of hours to collect $15.00???
Anyway, go to the website:
Also, just because the collector is protected by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, there are practices they are not allowed. Like my example; calls made to annoy someone, and telephone people without identifying themselves. See
I filed a complaint online with the FTC and it will be investigated and entered into the Consumer Sentinel, a secure online database available to thousands of civil and criminal law enforcement agencies worldwide.
Hope that helps anyone.

I also have accounts with HSBC which are current etc. So there is no need for them to call me other than to possibly sell me something. They never leave a message. I don't answer the phone either but it's annoying and disruptive when the phone rings - especially in the evening or, like today, early on a weekend morning, when I'm trying to relax. This one called and said he was from HSBC calling about my Aspire visa and needed a payment from me of 619.00 now as I was 3 mo. behind. I replied HSBC, what do you have to do with Aspire? (I have both cards and they are separate companies) He said they own Aspire. My card says Columbia bank, not HSBC. I told him I did not have any late payments and wasn't paying it and he continued to tell me that yes I did trying to get me to give him my info. Finally I asked him for my SS and date of birth, address. He gave me some other persons info, right over the phone. Thought they weren't supposed to do that. Either way, it wasn't me but I think this may be a scam as the amount he was wanting is right at what I owe. Coincidence?? Never know but all be careful if you see this number and get someone trying to get your bank or personal info.

July 26th, 2008 Carl NJ

They call me to collect on someone elses debt and refuse to stop calling. They are a nucance. The only way to stop them is to pay for call block and they use other numbers after the call block and you will have to block even more numbers.

receiving calls several times a day on cell and home, no message is ever left, when I call back, it says enter card number, what card number, there is no Bank name.

June 30th, 2008 Michele NY

Calls every day, 7 days a week, once an hour from 8 AM to 8 PM. When I answer, there's either no one there or someone saying "Hello? Hello?" who then hangs up. I traced the number with *64 and called *them* and ended up talking to some guy in Bombay or someplace. They were looking for someone I never heard of. I told him to take my number off their list. He apologized and said he would do that. We'll see.

June 28th, 2008 Cody TX

Has called about 15-20 times a day starting at 8am and usually stopping at 9pm. Nobody ever answers when you say Hello just silence. Once in awhile they stay on too long and when you listen to the message it is just silence with Indian people speaking in the background.

June 23rd, 2008 Cody

June 21st, 2008 Jen GA

They have called me 52 times a day for the past week. When I answer they tell me to hold. I do owe a credit card but I told that I lost my job and I can't pay them right now. I don't know how calling me that much will make me all of a sudden produce money that I don't have. And they will NOT leave a message, ever.

Collection dept for a credit card...told them they have the wrong number. Love how they question me like I'm a criminal. What's your name, who else lives there? There calling my biz fax line.

May 15th, 2008 BOB MO

I get at least 10 calls a day from these wackos. I have been getting calls
from them for about 4 months now. Literally, I have received probably over
a thousand calls. I recognize the number when it is displayed on my caller ID.
I started a log when I first received calls from them and then finally gave
up on that, as I was wasting a lot of paper. It starts at exactly 8 AM and
goes until 9 PM, seven days a week. SO, lately I have been answering the calls
and waiting for someone to come on the line. Sometimes a person talks and
other times no response at all. I don't say a word though, and I love to play
with their little heads like they are playing with me. They hang up and then call
about an hour later or so. Same thing over and over.

May 8th, 2008 Fedup

I've made several complaints to the feds. I would encourage anyone to do the same. If you're number is on the list, I'd imagine that you have some recourse. We must start somewhere and give it back to these people. I say help yourself and treat these people to a dish of government.

April 24th, 2008 Darlene FL

I got a call from this number this morning. I did not answer and they left no message. I called back and the message was to key in my 16 digit credit card number. I of course did not do that. I finally got a human (whose first language was not my own). He refused to tell me the name of the company he worked for. I have never called a business that refused to identify itself, so I reported the number to the do not call list. About two hours later I got another call from the same company. This woman kept asking if I was Mary Clemons. I said who are you? She refused to tell me what business she was calling from. I finally told her I was not the caller she sought, she said she would remove my number from their database. I hope so.

April 24th, 2008 Jennifer OR

I do not have an account/card with these people who keep calling in spite of the fact I am on the National do not call list and I did report them. Very rude people, even to get your # removed and they kept trying to obtain personal info, so don't give them any if they try with you. Supervisor that I spoke with didn't want to hear what I was saying, I told him about my profession as a paralegal and he said that he was one to,told me that he had been shipped to Bagdad, so it took him an extra year to get it. He did this at a shouting volume, as if this excused his or his companies behavior. I apologized that he had to go to Iraq, but told him he should blame Bush not me. After all this, I still dont know if I have been removed from this list.

April 17th, 2008 Carol

This number keeps calling, but never leaves a message. Did a search and it belongs to HSBC....then a different 1877 number came across my phone and low and behold, it is the same company...HSBC and of course, no message left. What a scam these people try to pull. Trying to collect for things that people don't owe anything for. Thought we could report companies like this.

April 6th, 2008 Devon

They own a lot of ccs and store cards. They are also Bow Flex's bad credit, credit line,Some times companies will summit you info to them and they will approve your credit limit if you have a very low credit score, even if you owe them money from another credit card.

This Number is for a collection agency, not just HSBC. Like many banks, HSBC does not issue their credit/debit cards directly. They use an outside company such as First Data or Global Payment Systems. Because these companies handle literally millions of credit cards and numerous other credit instruments its easy to see why they may be calling you about an account you don

March 20th, 2008 Flash

I get these calls upto 6 times a day, 7 days a week starting at 8:00 am central time. I don't understand why they are calling on Sundays!

I am writing to them to remove all numbers connected to me from their systems and will tell them that if they do not comply with my request I will be going to the BBB to make a formal complaint.

They never leave a message...

At least these people don't have the "Please hold the line for an important message" because those are telemarketers 9xout of 10 so I hang up... Not my problem if they don't have someone on the line.

You can block any call, even 800 numbers with this free program.

For those of you the can not get the free program to block any call you want including 800 numbers. You can buy this plug in device to block any number you want also.

Also, if you want to get HSBC permanently shut down. Go to and put in these numbers

2. your local attorney generals office or police direct number answer by live person.

Do this about 20 times a day and it will look like the calls keep coming from HSBC and they will be shut down within the month, once they harass them they do us.

I am at my wit's end!

These people are scum. Reasoning with them is pointless. Here is what you can do to stop them and all 800 scum. There is a free program PhoneTrayFree that will let you block any number even 800 numbers, which supposedly even the phone company can not do. The program is free ($10 if you want to donate) and if your are lucky it will work with your existing modem. If you use 56K dial up you will need there other program PhoneTrayPro, but if you have dsl or cable connection, which most people have now days, you should be fine.

Download for free here:

If it does not work with your modem, buy the Hiro 50006 at the ewiz link below for $15 shipped and use the fix CID button in the Phonetray program.
If you need help to get it working they have a nice support forum at:

So basically for $25 I can now stop these HSBC SCUM SUCKING BASTARDS or any other caller I want. They phone still rings once, because the caller ID info comes after the first ring, but then it will automatically hang up on them or play prerecorded message. like "this number has been disconnected"

Still going to take the drive out there and pay them a visit with my baseball bat. Supposedly, there headquarters are at
HSBC - North America
Address: Corporate Headquarters
2700 Sanders Road
Prospect Heights

Telephone: +1 847 564 5000

HSBC is caller. This number has been calling repeatedly between 8:30 am and 9:00 pm. Usually, no one there. No one here has any accounts with HSBC. Since we were not the person they were looking for, they refused to talk with us claiming they were calling about a phony "personal business matter"! Finally got a live person and told them the person they were calling for was a small child. Insinuated the caller was some kind of child predator - pedophile. Shook up the caller who didn't know what to do, and they us gave a number to call for "disputes." That HSBC number is 866-299-2241 We've given that number to obtain a mailing address for a lawyer relative to send a "Cease and Desist" letter to HSBC. We'll post the address here once our attorney obtains it.

March 4th, 2008 Tom

Will some people please enter some real but discontinued 16 digit account numbers so when they call us people without accounts we'll have a number to enter when it asks for the accoutn number.

March 4th, 2008 Denny

They are calling me because my brother owes a credit card debt. I told them he has not lived here for 20 years, and asked why they think it is ok to harass me several times a day everyday of the week. And they said because this is the number my brother gave them for a contact number. I asked the operator for her brother's number so I could call him every day. Conviently she's an only child, so I asked for her parents number, then she went on to say that since my brother gave them my number they have the right to call me everyday several times a day. I have filed this with my district attorney. But I think I'm going to have to file it in court.

Called for "George". Then they wanted to know my number so that they could take me off their list. I gave it to them . Probably shouldn't have. Then they wanted to know who they were speaking to. I didn't answer, just told them "not George." Bastards. F*ckin pisses me off.

Called at least 10 times today, on my cell phone. I NEVER give out my cell phone, so I can't figure out where they got it--it's a Virgin MObile pay-by-the-minute phone, so there's no bill for anybody to get credit info--I called the number back and it wanted me to confirm that some account ended in certain numbers--but I don't know what account and I'm certainly not giving out any info anyway. Very annoying. If it's not illegal it should be.

Averaging 7 calls a day from this number all are hang-ups. I have called the number back, it is HSBC, and they don't know why they are calling my number and have promised to remove it, but it's been 3 weeks and they are still calling, as early as 7:30 AM, and as later as 9:26 PM. We've logged over 200 calls from this number to our phone and only one I know of has ever spoken when we answered.
EVERY PLEASE CALL THIS NUMBER AND ASK FOR A SUPERVISOR< then just don't talk when one comes on the line, and do this over and over, give it back to them. It's called harrassing phone calls. PLEASE harrass them back there's only the two of us at our home, and niether of us have ever had a credit card, and neither of us owe a credit bill.

Calls numerous times a day and so I ran an experiment and I will tell you this They had the wrong number and have been harassing me for 2 weeks!

I don't feel like explaining the details, but I kept a log and reported this number.
They make themselves look pretty foolish calling the wrong number every other hour. I hope they get it, I mean what gives them the right?

It's pathetic and imagine if I was the person they were looking for... Oh my god! I wonder if I can file a legal complaint?

They keep calling looking for a guy that has never lived here! My wife called HSBC and they are rude. SHe called and had our number removed from the system and they called back 45 minutes later harrasing her and demanding to talk to this guy.

February 1st, 2008 Harassed CA

Logged this same message for phone call received from 877-801-2498. Multiple calls over a day asking for Evelyn B. Tried to reason with the caller that I was not Evelyn and they had a wrong number. They were having none of it. Very persistent callers as I received 6 calls that day. I would love to see this company take a crash-burn downturn for the harassment they wreak. Would love to find a way to tie up their phones lines, some which come out of the Phillipines, according to "Bruce" one of their call folks. There must be something we can do.

January 29th, 2008 Valerie DC

They call five times a day, and hang up without saying anything 5 times a day.

January 25th, 2008 UncleD

They call as many as 14 times a day. When we answer the phone, no one is on the line. When I call the number they ask for my card number. I waited on the line for an operator, and I informed him I do not have a credit card, never had a credit card and hopefully will never have a credit card. They assured me they would remove our number from their data banks. But they still call. They interupt naps, dinner, breakfast, lunch. They called on MLK day. This is obviously harrasment.
I'm wondering if the SBC part of their name is for Southwestern Bell Company. What better way to sell call blocker packages?
I hope a lawyer can make a case out of this, although I'm sure they plan to claim it's not them. I guess that would mean I would have to get call trace service to insure the identity of the called. Oh wow, what better way to sell telephone packages? See where this troublesome thing is leading.
If it is collection services, which shouldn't be calling me or anyone in this home, why do they just leave an open line?
This has got to have some motive other than collection services. It's harrasment wheather it's to sell phone service packages, collect a debt, or get a job for a lawyer.
If I did owe a debt, I would think that 14 calls in one day, would relieve me of that debt. There are laws that define limits of actions and I believe this company over steps those. Meet me at

HSBC has several numbers and they both call several times a day starting at 8am to 9pm

January 23rd, 2008 Michael TX

NOTE: Calls from this number may or may not be a SCAM! There is a collection agency that has this number. There are also services on the Internet you can buy to change the caller ID that people see when you call them. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give them personally identifiable information, such as address, Social Security number, date of birth, etc.. IF they are legitimate, they will already have this information and do not need to verify it with you. Tell them you will verify it with POSTAL MAIL ONLY because of privacy protection.

Also, directly from the website: [quote, with emphasis added] FCC rules require **telemarketers** to display on caller ID either their phone numbers and, if possible, their names, or the phone number and, if possible, the name of the company for which they are selling products. The display must include a phone number that you can call during regular business hours to ask that the company no longer call you. This rule also applies ***even if the company making the call has an established business relationship with you***. [end quote]

Please note that cell phones normally DO NOT have the capability to receive caller ID names; they can only receive numbers. You must save the number to your contact list or dialing directory to save a name to a particular number.

Also note that this rule does not apply to creditors or collection agencies trying to legally collect a debt. There are other restrictions for those types of calls. I'm looking for the rules now.

On 12/26 the calls started at 8:30 AM and received three calls by 1:00 PM. They need to check their records!!! I already notified them that I forgot to make the payment and that one has already been scheduled. This is just harassment!

Recommend that everyone having this problem call their phone company and change their number from a toll free to a toll number charging $50.00 per call from (800-395-2274). I am sure after a few days of this their company will be bankrupt.

November 29th, 2007 Jess

I do have an account but everything is up to date. I have yet to answer it, because I know there's no problem. It's just getting old because they call the house phone and like 5 seconds later my cell phone is ringing with the same number. How pathetic!! They probably call each phone 4 times a day, at least.

November 23rd, 2007 Anny CA

Missed their first call today, decided to answer after reading this site. When I answered I got a recorded message asking me to hold for an important call. A man came on the line shortly and asked for someone I never heard of - we have had this number for several years. I told him he had the wrong number, so he read my number back to me. I acknowledged that it was my number. Then he verified that I didn't know this person, I confirmed, he thanked me and hung-up. Not so bad, but we'll see if they keep calling.

They call 3-8 times a day... I have an answering machine but they never leave a message. What's the point of calling that much if you never leave a message unless you are just trying to harrass?!? You know, you sure can find out a lot about a company if you get behind on a bill... It's funny how you never see their nasty side when you apply for their credit card-they all but promise you the world on a silk pillow... And then once they got you in their "hooks" and you fall on hard times--LOOKOUT!!! I have nothing but contempt for these ruthless loan sharks (that's what they REALLY ARE)... It is a shame how the government ALLOWS the credit card companies to prey upon the poor and needy by charging higher interest, fees, and such... I would dare to bet you could get a better deal taking out a loan with the MAFIA!!!

I also had to re-do my online password which was a mistake.

Now, I find out that I am not able to make any payment online like I use to. If I make a phone call payment will cost me $15 each time.

Soon afterwards I started to get calls when I was to make payments.

I had decided to make payments by snail mail. Instead of paying the $15 to do it on phone.

THIS IS NOT A DEBT COLLECTOR OR A CREDIT CARD COMPANY!! it is a TOTAL fraud. don't give them ANY information. tell them you are recording the call and reporting them to the FCC, FBI, and whomever else you can think of.

September 21st, 2007 Ming MN

September 21st, 2007 Leo IL

Calls constantly thru the day, but consistently at 8.30PM CT every single freakin' nite. Have told them to take the number off the list. I like Troy's idea below, screw the deadbeat that they're trying to they can go after him.

September 20th, 2007 Nate MN

I received several phone calls from this listing and two other 800/866 phone numbers. The message recognized a card number that I am not familiar with, but I proceeded anyway. I got an actual person on the phone and I nicely asked him to take me off the list. He complied because I knew where he was calling from and who he was calling for. Unfortunately, the previous owner of my phone number owes them money. Supposedly I am on the do not call list, but not five minutes later I got another call from them. I guess it has to go through their system. My words of advice, I've been angry and hostile with these people, and it's gotten me nowhere. By being congenial and calm, they understood the situation, and therefore obliged. Now if you owe them money, that's your own problem.

SO obviously a scam! They called to say I have a payment due of $101 on my credit card, I have NO account with Orchard Bank and I NEVER use credit cards, period. Have lived here a looong time so they were not looking for someone else. She said they needed my social security # to verify that I am not the person they are looking for... yeah, riiight. I refused to give it to her, duh. She then asked what my address is, I asked why she needed my address, she said to verify that the address she is looking at is correct- I said, "Tell me what address you have and I'll know if it's correct." She got real huffy and said "We have your name and social security number and you have to verify this information so we know you aren't who we are looking for." I said, "Tell me what the social security # you have is and I'll know whether it's correct." She hung up on me! Gee, you talk back to these people and they don't like it so much. Didn't even get a chance to say don't call back, but I have another strategy- I have a very sharp, loud whistle beside my phone. Also have a gadget that emits realistic sounds of flatulence, can't wait to use that! This could be so much fun.

August 30th, 2007 katie

August 22nd, 2007 Karla

Have been getting numerous calls from this number for SEVERAL months. My husband and I had to file for bankruptcy about 4 years ago. I believe it may have to do with that. It is SO ANNOYING. Like everyone else, the calls come from early morning until late evening. I have just found a new sharware program online called CallClerk. You can preview the program for 30 days free of charge, then it becomes limited functionality until you pay the one time $25 charge to get their code. So far, it works GREAT. Pops the number up on the screen of my computer (where I almost always am), and gives you the option to block that number. HOW SWEET IS THAT!!! I will DEFINITELY pay the $25 shareware fee to this company if it helps me to keep these idiots from calling my home day and night. I have 3 kids and they all know to NEVER answer the phone. Would be SO NICE to not have to worry about them calling all the time! I hope enough people have the time and intestinal fortitude to put this company in their place. I understanding making reasonable efforts to collect on debt, but after reading all the comments on this page, this is RIDICULOUS. Shame on them!

August 22nd, 2007 Matt VA

Oh yes, and I should mention that on one of the last calls I got, I asked who the hell they were, and the person was reluctant to give any information. After I pushed her, she said her name was Sandra Wright with HSBC.

I just filed a complaint with both the FCC and the Do not Call registry.

August 22nd, 2007 Matt VA

They were calling 3 times a day every day. They woke me up early in the morning. Never left messages. Sometimes when I answered, they was nobody even there! Just a message telling me to hold for the next operator!

And to top it all off, they were calling for someone who didn't even live at my number. I asked them multiple times to remove my name and they didn't. I finally called back and asked who they were, and I told them to remove my number. We'll see if it works.

repeated calls

June 27th, 2007 Troy CO

We have been getting these calls numerous times every day for months. Here is how I handled it:

My caller id showed their number. I called the number back and a recording asked me for the last 4 digits of my account number. I did nothing and waited. It asked again, and I waited again. This repeated for a total of 5 times. Finally, it said it would put me in touch with a customer service representative. After another minute or so, I was put through to a real person.

She immediately asked for my name. I politely said "Actually, if you would look me up by my phone number, I would appreciate it." She said "certainly", and after about 30 seconds, she said "OK, am I speaking with ... hmmm ... who am I speaking with?" [Which was probably wise on her part to not divulge the deadbeat's name.]

At that point I gave my name, and said "Now, I'm guessing that my name is different than the one you have for this number, correct?" and she said "Yes".

So, I told her that we have been getting these calls and that if there is a Do Not Call list, I want to be put on it. Next, the fun part: I told her that if she can't do that, or if that won't result in a stop to the calls to my number, that I would declare on behalf of the indebted party that "they have no intention of ever paying you back, and that if you ever want to see any money, you will have to garnish the wages of the debtor".

She said that they did have a do not call list, and that she would put me on it. I told her thank you.

So, hopefully that is it ... we'll see.

HSB is calling and asking for one of our employees who cannot take personal calls. They keep calling knowing full well that they are calling someone's place of employment. There is an attorney named Larry P. Smith who can take care of annoying creditors. His number is 312-222-9028. I'm sure he would appreciate the business.

I do have a credit card with these people. I have just gotten into credit counseling, was never late with any payments. They have not accepted the proposal from the credit counselor. HSBC calls from 1-800-684-8429 & 800-359-2274. it's 3:58 pm my time. And already they have called me 37 times today!!! Sure I have an account with them. And I pay my account on time. I'm not a child and I don't need anyone calling to remind me to pay my bill. When they ask to verify my social, dob, mom's maiden name, that's where I draw the line. The calls have been coming for over three weeks. And they never miss a day. Can you believe they had the nerve to send me a new credit card in the mail w/ a $6000.00 line of credit. I called to cancel the card and that's when my problems began...37 calls a day is ridiculous. It's down right bother some. Let's not talk about the emails they send me on a daily basis to remind me to activate my new credit card. No, thank you. I have advised them on several different occasions to close the account. They say okay but the calls keep coming. And I have stopped answering the calls...I love the way Joe handled them. I'll try that the next time they call. Good luck to everyone.

three things I did

2. call to HSBC headquarter card service number: 800 753 5629 to report and let them stop this bothering call.
3. Call Verizon,my phone line company, to block this incoming call, but Verizon can not do this, suggested to report to police,if after 3 times you tell them to stop calling but they still keep calling, police will access and build a case, and will contect that 800 unmber to let them stop.

April 3rd, 2007 j-lyn

Yep, HSBC. I have an account with them and they call all the time. I don't answer my phone simply because the multiple calls annoy the crap out of me. Also, I've given them my new address and I have yet to receive an actual bill in the mail. If they want their money I want an actual paper bill to look at instead of constantly paying over the phone and being charged an extra $15 to do so!

Here's what I did.
I repeatedly called this number. Once answered I informed them that "This telephone may or may not be monitored and or recorded for the purpose of reporting telephone abuse to my state attorney general" I then gave them the number that they have been calling (mine) and asked them to repeat it back to me. After about 15 calls, they assured me that my number was removed from their data base. I also continually asked that they allow me to speak to a supervisor. I gave my number to the "supervisor" and asked him/her to repeat it to me and give me assurance that the number was removed from their data base.
The funny bit, was that eventually I had spoken to all of their operators at least once.
They also stated that it is forbidden to record telephone conversations with them. I asked what the meaning of their opening statement regarding recording of all calls for quality purposes meant. Of course there was no response. I also stated that if they hung up on me that my attorney general stated that it was admission of guilt, then asked if I should proceed.
If nothing else, I've been aroyal pain in the behind.

HSBC, they call once or twice an hour using many different phone numbers. I now have 8 different numbers from them, all of which no ring silent on my phone. These people are apparently very smart and will do anything to collect a debt. They left a message once stating they were calling because someone listed me as a personal reference on their job application. Then I called back and it turned out to be HSBC. I have contacted the BBB and FCC regarding that message.

These people are excessive in their calls, and will say anything to get you to return their calls.

Many calls a day from this number starting very early. I answered and said that the person they are looking for doesnt live there anymore. They said do you know how to reach them I said NO-they moved! I called the # and asked who it belonged to. They said HSBC Financial-dealing with GM Credit cards, etc. What a pain in the rear!

November 18th, 2006 Elaine

Calls 2 - 3 times a day

November 17th, 2006 Patrick

They called my number once or twice in an hour. I've no account in any bank; when you pick up the call, they will ask to apeak to someone (that you don't know). If you say wrong number, they will still ignore it and call you again. If you ask them not to call you anymore, they will ignore it. Even you report it to FCC (not to call list), they will still call you.

Well, out of curiocity, I called the number, accepted the last 4 digits of the account number and it connected me with an operator. He asked for my account number, I told him I didn't have any. Then he asked if I was getting calls, I said yes. He asked me if I knew Regina Shepard or had any accounts with them, I said no. So he said he'd remove my number from the list. So much for playing with them next time.

They call my work number at least once a day. They are very rude. The person who called said her name was Adrianna. Next time I'm going to say I'm the person they are trying to reach and argue with them. That'll keep me entertained on the job :)

November 11th, 2006 Tom

calls at least 3-5 times a day at all hours, never leaves a message, no caller id...

November 9th, 2006 Todd

The enormous amount of calls border on harassment.

November 8th, 2006 grm

It's HSBC, I do have two accounts with them, Household Bank and Orchard Bank. They call incessantly even when my account is current and not due for payment. Doesn't bother me too much since I never answer the phone. They don't leave messages, they just call right back from another number. Hope they're having fun, I just laugh.

November 7th, 2006 kaitlin NC

calls around 3 or 4 times a day - - so i called them back, and they removed my number from the system, having had me under "Vicky Patterson". should i be worried about this number or something?

November 7th, 2006 MarTom TX

They call my work and my home at least 15 times a day at each number.

November 4th, 2006 jun NY

more than 10 time in 24 hours

November 3rd, 2006 Mike

They call 4 or 5 times a day every day since I stop making payments on my credit card. It's Household Bank. I'm using a software called EZVoice to block their ass. The Phone rings one time and then it disconects them. You got to love it!

October 24th, 2006 Julie PA

They call many times a day for someone that no longer lives in my house. I've told them 4 times that he no longer lives here and I got a rude answer from the person that called that he wanted to speak to an adult. I'm 24 and told him that and he said 'You sure sound like it. I'll call back' and hung up. They are very rude and will not stop calling even though this person no longer lives here.

October 19th, 2006 Anna MI

Calls everyday - 3-4 times per day, starting at 7:30am and stopping at 9:30pm.

HSBC handles many vendors who contract to HSBC to 'handle' their credit card business. This number may be tied to many diferent CCs. If you are sure that you, your spouse or anyone you are sharing the number with does not have a past due account with them try talking to them to see who thay are trying to reach. If it is you, then you may want to find out the details of the account in case it is fraud, ID theft or what ever else. Some one may have "mistakenly" put your phone number for the contact info if they applied/got the card with the intent of never paying on it. When you apply for a card you have to suply a valid phone number for them to verify, then when you get the card you have to call from the same number to activate it, easily and that is easily done through devises that mask/block your phone number when you call can program them to show any number you want if you know how to.

It's HSBC card services (they probably handle collections for multiple vendors). They have been calling every couple of hours. Another credit deadbeat causing me grief.

September 5th, 2006 ger CA

I don't know why you would say we have not called these people back. They are very argumentative, and tell me and an other friend that they have a right to call whomever they want. I have personally contacted FCC and have submitted the number to the DO NOT CALL list... many times. I have never, had any dealings with the Orchard Bank!

August 31st, 2006 Crystal in MD MD

Calls CONSTANTLY everyday!!

August 30th, 2006 chris MI

has anyone here ever tried calling the number back? i just did. it means you have not paid your orchard bank credit card bill. no they do not leave messages, but if you call back you get a recording of who exactly called you. pretty pathetic devoting a web page to a phone number that no one has ever tried to call. DETROIT
