This company calls me multiple times a day, outside prescribed hours, and will not identify themselves when asked.

When I call them and ask for a letter to clarify the debt, they tell me this is impossible and become belligerent. When I threaten a cease and desist they tell me to "pay your bills" and then hang up.

This is a debt that was paid several years ago.

I recommend you that you jam their lines, when you have time, just dial their number and live the call live, they are paying for it as it is an 800 number.
If we all do this at the same time, then will see what they do, also this will jam their lines as well.
Be pro active, if they have the right to harass you do the same, don't talk to them just leave the phone on, do not answer and do it again and again and again day in day out.

Collection agency. Claim to work for GMAC but are a private collector. Will not leave message explaining their reason for calling only that is an "important business matter" and also disregard laws such as frequency of calls, time of day they call and also call om Sundays which is also illegal. They will also call from unknown number and also different numbers such as 800-392-4029

Let them know you wish to correspond via writing. It is your right.

These people have been calling me ever since I got my office line installed, the previous owner of the phone number must have had some debt. They will not take my number off their list no matter how many times I ask. I do think it's funny how the last 10 or so comments describe how nice and helpful the company is...who ever wrote them should work for this company. My guess is they already do.

I admit that I have debts which of course I'm not too proud of but it was because of an unavoidable circumstances. I get calls from the same number, but if you speak to them nicely and politely explain to them your condition I can guarantee there is no harassing or threatening, they will definitely help and try to work something out for you.

I use to get calls from the same number, I have read the blogs and mostly everyone seems to be harassed and all the collectors are rude, irritating, etc. According to my experience not everyone is as bad as has been posted here, I came across a lot of helpful, polite and well-informed agents. I am also glad to add that now I am debt free.

If you have a legitimate reason of why you are unable to pay at the present time then you need to notify them, there is a proper procedure but you need to talk to them for getting the necessary assistance. You also always have the option of asking for the supervisor if you are not satisfied with the rep you are dealing with.

When called back I realized it was just another collection company doing their job by trying to collect the money which is due. Nothing to be threatened but to try and work out the best way to clear the debt.

I wouldn't be so quick to call them a "scam". I called them back and gave them my name and was informed in details the reason of the call, It was regarding my overdue payments which I had already forgotten. They already have all the information and just need the name to pull up our records.

I have got calls from the same number but seriously I have never noticed as the caller to be rude or indecent. They have infact been polite enough to help me out in the debt situation.
Compared to the other collection agencies, who have called me in the past, I must admit that the caller from First Credit Services has been up to his mark and my discussion with him has given me a positive prospective about the First Credit Services.

I keep receiving the same message from the same number. I called back on that particular number to ensure it was not a scam, but it actually turned out to be a collection company which was trying to reach me so that I can pay off my over due debt account.
We should not label them as offenders but understand that each of us needs to follow the rules and regulations and if debtors like us have not paid for the dues which we owe; these guys are just doing their job.

They've called me on my cell at least eight times this month. It's always a recorded message of a woman saying "this is an important message" and "this is not a sales call" and I need to call back right away. I don't owe anyone anything and I am on the do not call list. These calls started about two weeks after the barrage of calls from 800-392-4029 stopped. I filed an FCC complaint on that one, and now on this one.

Have recieved many calls from the 732-726-5692 and 1-800 numbers.
I got very rude messages demanding a return call.
Finally got smart and looked up the numbers on Yellow Pages.com.
Was shocked to see where those numbers came from.
I am so glad I looked this up and read all the responses from other
people. What can people do about this? Isn't this illegal?

 Jul 24th, 2008
This company has called over a dozen times in the past couple of months. All they leave is a recorded message with no company name and no reference to who they are trying to get hold of. Finally a person called and stated who the message was for. I called the 800 # that was left and left a message on the woman's machine. The next day when I called back she was extremely rude and claimed " that she had removed my number from the call list. Since then I have had at least 4 more recorded calls. My next step is going to be to call the state's attorney general's office and see how to file a complaint.

yesterday, I got a harassing, vague phone call from 1-800-392-4029. The pre-recorded message was a woman and she was basically yelling in the message. This morning at about the same time in the morning, I get a call from 732-726-5692. I couldn't completely understand the man, but he used my name, and said I had qualified for a "pool" with their company and he needed info right away. He tells me to call the 1-800 number from yesterday! Why would you yell at me yesterday and tell me I have been approved for something the next day?

I am a law student at a top ten university who has been similarly hassled by this company. The company seems to engage in business practices that are in clear violation of various laws. In order to convince myself of this I would like to speak to someone to compare stories.

Please contact me. In return I can help you to file a complaint. I am not a lawyer, so I cannot provide any actual legal advice, but I can provide you with copies of the complaint that I file as well as any research that I will/have conduct(ed). You could then make the relevant changes and file on your own behalf. These types of claims are usually settled pretty quickly.

Please email me at innotechco@gmail.com.

I got one call so far from number listed above at 935 am. Some male moron left a message insistant that i never called him back, saying it was so rude of me not to etc. I figured it was a collection agency, but since I do not have any collection debt - or any that i do know of - i was somewhat confused, but after reading all these posts I can see that my thoughts were correct. This was by far the rudest, stupidest message i have ever received in my life. I cannot believe it is for credit purposes only which makes me even more skeptical for the purpose of the call. I have ATT as a cell phone provider, i wonder if that is a pertinent fact. Im calling them on Monday. Im sure there is a way to block this number. Just a thought. I too agree with Stephanie about the high school drop outs, def. from the NJ/NY metro area as well. Rudest message ever!

The calls started with this woman acting like she knows me saying to call her, and today I got some guy back to back saying I must call. I don't have a home phone; only a cell and they call at stupid times. Why would you call in the middle of the work day? I don't understand. If I wasn't out here busting my butt 10 hrs a day, I might actually think about returning the call.

It was a recorded message saying that the company was trying to get a hold of me, but didn't say regarding what. It provided the one 800 number 1-500-392-4029. I decided to call this number back and was on hold for about a half hour and then received another recorded message to leave my name and number to have them call me back.

I called the number and they claimed to be the SOLE collector for Huntington Bank out of Columbus Ohio. I told them they were calling me upwards of 9 times a day and calling before 8 am. I also informed them that they were calling about an account that was in GOOD standing and currently open. Idiots.

I have gotten numerous recorded calls from this number....they are a collection agency for Golds Gym...sho works with them, that is how they got my number. My golds gym account was cancelled a year ago and I am still getting letters and calls from this place. I have called golds gym numerous times and they sad" sorry, somehow your account was REACTIVATED!" I asked how that could be and she said she wasnt quite sure. Gold's Gym is as bad as this place...Finally I told them i would report them to the BBB, FCC and file a harassment claim against them. She said that she will make sure the account stays closed! We will see.

Someone called from this number for my daughter who has not lived here for 8+ years.
Just for the sake of curiousity, I ran it through the BBB. The first bit of information is enough for me to recommend they be ignored! If the BBB can't find them, there is no way I'd send them a dime! There is even complaints unresolved because the company cannot be located! What kind of crap is that???
Anyways, go to the BBB online and enter the phone number for complete info; I can't post it all because it's too long.

Here's some of the info:

Our file shows mail sent to this company was returned by the Post Office marked as either insufficient address, attempted not known, no such number/ street or not deliverable as addressed-unable to forward. Our file contains no other information to enable us to issue a report at this time.

My dad is in critical condition in a hospital. My 84 year old mother just received a message from this 800 Number and msg said to call back 732-726-5692 IMMEDIATELY. She did thinking it was the hospital. Entered into voice mail hell. She called me hysterical/crying thinking that my dad had died or something. I googled the number and found out it is some sort of credit collection scam. Ironically, my parents don't owe anyone any money - and never have had for about 30 years! I want to sue the crap out of this company now!

I would never call back such a cryptic message but I did promptly report them to both the Missouri Attorney General, who goes after these guys like a bulldog, and the National NO Call Registry. Christopher
 Aug 03rd, 2007
This is a scam. The message I recieved indicated that I 'urgently needed to return their call as it was regarding a business matter'. They do not have information on you. It is a phishing scam to learn more about you, hence the multiple identities and difficulty reaching/interacting with them. Best to avoid them altogether as returning their call lets them know you are actually there and can be reached.

I'm so glad I googled the number before I called back--it led me to this site. I always ignore toll free numbers, but when I got the message from 732 number, I thought someone was in trouble, and was at least going to call her back so she would know she dialed the wrong number.

Thanks to you all, I know to continue ignoring the calls/messages.

The name of this collection company is "Accounts Receivable Technologies".
They also do business under the name of "First Credit Services Inc."
They use several different names in an attempt to cloak their identity. But all operations are at the same address:
One Woodbridge Center, Suite 410
Woodbridge, NJ 07095
Phone: 732-726-5690
Fax: 732-726-6497
To stop their harassment, you should send them a "Cease Communications" certified letter. By law, (FDCPA) they have to stop calling you.

I too came home today to find messages from 732-726-5692. I called and got a recording. Interestingly enough, I followed the voice mail and went into their company directory (PRESS *2). I searched for any name and got a hit and extention for someone named Tabatha Garcia "Client Services" (x185). Given that info, one could turn this right back around and start calling her back until you get a stright answer.

The calls from this company started two weeks ago. We were on vacation and returned to find our voice mail filled with their automated messages. We receive 4 calls per day, two from the 800# and two from 732-726-1800. One call however was from a person at the 800# and he also left an extension #. I called the next morning and told him the people he inquired about were not us. He mention a street address that was not ours. I told him to please not call us again. That was two weeks ago. The twice morning and twice evening calls continue. Same time; same automated messages. I'm going to report them to the FTC, FCC, and the BBB. Wish me luck!!!!

This same place has been leaving us messages every day for the last couple of weeks. Today, they were kind enough to leave 3 of the exact same messages, one after the other, on our machine. We don't know how to stop it, but have also decided calling them back would only make it worse. We've also decided, we can certainly be more stubborn than they are. We are hoping that eventually they just give up. There should be someone we can all officially register a complaint with, but who?

These people have been calling me for weeks. I've also been getting calls from

732-726-5692 listed as "First Credit Sv" on caller ID

Today I had messages from them both back to back. The 800 number caller left an extention number. I called the (732) number first. I was on hold for 15 minutes, listening to painful Muzack until I got dumped into a generic voice mail box (that was full, so I couldn't leave a message).

I went to call the 800 number, where someone had kindly left a name and an extention. As I was being transferred to that extention, I heard THE SAME MUZAK!

So, it appears this number belongs to First Credit Services. I can't get anyone to answer the phone there to make them stop calling me.
