Caller left a message and said that they were calling from Merchants' Choice regarding credit card processing and that my terminal needs a mandatory PCI data upgrade. Apparently, these scammers do not know that I do not use a credit card terminal. Merchants' Choice is a well known merchant processing scammer who charges excessive rates and hidden fees, and holds back a large amount of your funds for charge-backs. They use deceptive sales practices and scare tactics to sell new credit card machines to companies. The BBB of Greater Houston and South Texas has received 87 complaints about Merchants Choice Payment Solutions in the past 3 years. Caller ID shows 800 Service. They also call from 800-309-0524
BTW, Panasonic makes some good call blocking cordless phone sets, such as the KX-TG454 SK or KX-TG465 SK which both block up to 250 phone numbers. The Ooma phone system blocks 254 personal phone numbers and thousands more on their community block list powered by NoMoRobo. The T-Lock Call Blocker, which connects to your phone line, blocks 1500 phone numbers. You should check them out on eBay or Amazon (or Google them) if you want to block telemarketing calls. Hope this helps.
