727-395-4000 just called our business. Caller ID showed up as "Credit Card". Yeah, like that didn't scream Scam and Spoofed Number... The illegal robocall spiel went as follows, "Hello, your business may qualify to receive a free upgrade of your credit card terminal to a POS management system quantities are limited. So please call 1-800-309-0524 to claim your free point of sale system again. That number again is 1-800-309-0524. Thank you." Blocking BOTH numbers immediately.

Caller left a message and said that they were calling from Merchants' Choice regarding credit card processing and that my terminal needs a mandatory PCI data upgrade. Apparently, these scammers do not know that I do not use a credit card terminal. Merchants' Choice is a well known merchant processing scammer who charges excessive rates and hidden fees, and holds back a large amount of your funds for charge-backs. They use deceptive sales practices and scare tactics to sell new credit card machines to companies. The BBB of Greater Houston and South Texas has received 87 complaints about Merchants Choice Payment Solutions in the past 3 years. Caller ID shows 800 Service. They also call from 800-309-0524 and 888-426-3440.

BTW, Panasonic makes some good call blocking cordless phone sets, such as the KX-TG454 SK or KX-TG465 SK which both block up to 250 phone numbers. The Ooma phone system blocks 254 personal phone numbers and thousands more on their community block list powered by NoMoRobo. The T-Lock Call Blocker, which connects to your phone line, blocks 1500 phone numbers. You should check them out on eBay or Amazon (or Google them) if you want to block telemarketing calls. Hope this helps.

Recorder called our (listed as do-not-call) biz number. Recording started that we had not complied, and had not called back yet. Makes you think you are about to have the Feds show up and take you to jail. Little research shows it is Merchants Choice Payment Solutions, a scam institution in Florida, who simply tries to sell you their credit card processing. Further research shows that they are connected to Woodforest National Bank and Woodforest Bank. SCAM SCAM SCAM! Unbelievable unethical soliciting practices. Stay away.

I got this call this morning a bit after 10. It was a recorded message talking about a medication that caused blood clots. Apparently there is a class action. I pressed 9 to be removed from their call list. A few minutes later I got another call from 800-309-0524 and when I picked up there was dead silence on the other end. I think it's possible these two calls were related.

Phone rang, picked up, said "Hello" once, silence. This happened about five minutes after I got a call from 360-322-6371 about a class action on a medication that caused blood clots. I pressed 9 on that one and I wonder if the two calls were related.
