Scam calling about computers being hacked.
Stupid indian guy calling a business office at 11:00pm saying the computers had several viruses over the last couple of weeks
scammers with a stupid accent
called me at midnight but hung up on me
The good ol' Windows Computer guy again. I haven't heard from this guy for quite a while, and his accent hasn't improved a bit. I kept them on the line at LEAST 45 minutes with things like getting upstairs to the computer, with my walker, then explaining that the computer was taking an unusually long to boot up. Wife rings door-bell, "Wait-wait, I gotta go answer the door". He says he'll wait. Long time later I get back on, and I tell him I need to put another floppy disc in, and wait again. After a long while I say OK, it's ready. He starts with the part about what do I see on the screen? Connect to Google. Answer of course, is that I can't be on the phone and internet at the same time. Then I told him it was an Apple IIe, they changed to a different "technician". After I jerked him around for an unbelievably long time, I guess he figured it out, and finally hung up on me. Just maybe it will be a while before they call again.
Knew it was a scam just by caller ID. Just clicked phone on and off to stop it from ringing on my day off.
They called me and said I was being hacked and I said yea by you calling me at 220am so I hung up and block that number .
