Yep, this # just called my cell but I didn't answer.
Josh, did you quit? If so, then roll over on these guys. Give us names and numbers to call over there. Give us contact information. Report them to the FCC, FTC and your state's insurance regulator. If not, then yes, we DO have the right to cuss at you and hang up. You say in the same post that you know what they are doing is illegal but then you justify working for them because you need a job. Furthering an illegal activity does not justify a job.
If you get a call from "Warranty Help Desk", it is actually just a front for "Vehicle Services Inc" (www.vsiwarranty.com), which is selling fradualent auto insurance policies underwritten by Consumer Direct Warranty Services and several other companies. IF YOU WANT THESE CALLS TO STOP, YOU MUST FILE A COMPLAINT WITH BOTH THE FCC AND FTC. The FCC allows consumers to file a complaint whether or not your number is in the "Do Not Call" registry. The FCC complaint website is at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm. FTC complaints do require that your number be listed in "Do Not Call" for at least 30 days before you can complain. The FTC complaint website is at https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx. BE WARNED that Vehicle Services Inc. does NOT have ANY relationship with the manufacturer of your car; in fact they don't even know if you really own a car! They randomly call thousands of phones per day, hoping to con people into buying an "extended vehicle warranty". These warranties are NEVER a good deal for the consumer. For instance, I'm in the car business so I told them my year/make/model was a certain car I know to be worth less than $1000 (trade-in/private sale/insurance replacement). They tried to sell me an "extended warranty" on it for $2800.
They've called me about 50 times from various '800' numbers. A rough 20 times I asked the service rep to remove me. 5 Times asked fo the supervisor and asked to be removed. Finally told a supervisor that I was reporting them to the FCC, and that got them a $30,000 fine. They called AGAIN, so I told the supervisor about my previous complaint to the FCC and said I was getting them ANOTHER $30,000 fine. Money talks! $60,000 later, they never called again. FCC.gov people! Have the call times, numbers and company name handy. The more details you have, the better. Keep reporting them at 30k a pop and eventually they'll go bankrupt! :)
(I'm posting this EVERYWHERE I can find relating to warrenty helpdesk. Also sending a copy to them. Time to take them down!)
And just to let everyone know when you do recieve these calls and you speak with a rep and you ask them to remove you from the list they do put you on the do not call list but after 30 days you number is put back onto the list. I personally dont know why they do that and to me its something that makes our jobs very difficult and I have a huge problem with the way things are run here. Again I do apologise for everything that has happened to anyone just know that some of us are just trying to do our jobs and I understand now that what my company does is illegal and tomorrow morning I am walking in and quitting. I hope everyone has a great night and good luck with the calls.
I am a worker for Warranty Help Desk and I know how frustrating these calls are. I also know that this job is borderline at best and I do have feelings in me that tell me its illegal but I'm also telling you that I'm happy to have a job in this economy so that I can put food on the table for my kids and to put a roof over there heads. If I could choose I would have a much different job but right now its the only one thats available to me and trust me I'm looking hard for a different one so I can get out of that hell hole of a job. I also understand people's frustrations with the people they have talked to. There is absolutely no excuse for any one human being to have the right if they are a professional and kind person to sit there and cuss or hang up on another. Now with that being said I personally have never hung up on someone nor have a cussed at anyone. I have been cussed at and I have been threaten and I have been hung up one. I've had people tell me they were going to find my children and kill them. Now is there anything right about that? I do apologise for anyones frustrations but just know I'm trying to support 3 other people than myself and this is the best I can do right now.
Ok now this number comes up as private (is that legal?) they call sometimes up to 3 times a week. This has been going on several months, I have Pushed 2 like the message says to stop getting phone calls it does no good, they call back the same day. It is Warranty Help Desk, I know because now I press 1 (because know where on the message do they tell you or on the caller Id. So in the past 3 weeks I Have gotten around 16 calls and I ask every time What is your company name...Warranty Help Desk and I ask what Is your name..today it was "Angie", They will not stop harassing, will not stop calling, and it seems they are doing whatever they can to not be found.
This scared the daylights out of me...who is it and what do they want??? They asked for my name and then just hung up. I have a very difficult name to pronounce and they pronounced it perfectly. HELP!!!
I received a call from 773-665-4227 on November 7, 2008 on my cell phone also. Did not answer. Don't know who it was. I just wonder how they are getting peoples cell phone numbers. Only a few close friends and family have mine.
"Warranty Help Desk". The agent identified herself as 3377. Her supervisor Monica. I get calls daily on business cell and home numbers. I asked for their number, business address and customer service number. They said due to security purposes they will not. They did say they were in Southern California. They eventually hung up on me as usuall. They always say they are going to remove my number, BUT THIS NEVER WORKS. Also, if you dial the option to remove your number, IT OBVIOUSLY DOESN"T WORK!
I received a phone call from 773-663-4227
on 11/06/2008 at 2:27p.m est. No name for this number unfortunately, when i did reverse phone lookup from whitepages I found the number belonged to "Jason Siergey, 3848 N Leavitt St., Chicago, IL 60618." I have yet to find out who what and why this person is calling me.
I received a call on my cell phone yesterday afternoon (11/07/08) from this number. Not knowing the number I didn't answer the call, but then became curious and cslled the number back a few minutes late and got a "is not-in-service or has been disconnected" recording.
I'm only 13 years old! I can't drive and I got this message!
........................ TAKE 3 MINUTES AND CALL THE COMPLAINT LINE: 877-382-4357
I have recieved many calls from this phone number over the last 2 years. When the first call came I hung-up because none of our cars were newer that 1994... I knew it was a scam. After buying a newer vehicle, a 2007. I got the call again, and pressed #2 (to be put on the "No-call" list) and the call was disconnected. (They hung-up)
This has nothing to do with buying a new car. It is a scam. When I Googled the # it was listed as a Marilyn Freedman. 1 Tanglewood Way N, Andover, MA 01810. At the bottom of this page you'll find "Warranty Help Desk calls from 1 other numbers" #773-665-4227
. When I googled the 773 # I found that The number belongs to Jason Siergey 773-665-4227
3848 N Leavitt St, Chicago, IL 60618. OR. 4135 N Hermitage Ave Chicago, IL 60613 (Yes, he has 2 address both have the same phone number!!) He also has a profile on Facebook, LinkedIn and has has written several reviews on amazon.com for various movies. The FTC wants to have everyone who has gotten these calls to call the complaint line and register a complaint, then the ATTY GEN can go after them.
.................SO TAKE 3 MINUTES AND CALL THE COMPLAINT LINE: 877-382-4357
Don't know who called. Upon return call, received message (3 seperate times, with 3 seperate voices) that the number was unavailable and to check the number.
Call came in on my 12 year old daughter's cell phone
I got a call on my cell and I don't even have a car
They keep random calling our company. It is ridiculous. 1500 extensions and they nail all of us.
I've already called the FTC to complain about these folks calling my CELL, which is illegal.
The next time they call my Federal workplace, I'm calling a complaint from that number as well. We've told them to quit calling but it does no good.
The FTC told me to have everyone I know who have gotten these calls to call the complaint line and register a complaint, then the ATTY GEN can go after them.
SO TAKE 3 MINUTES AND CALL THE COMPLAINT LINE: 877-382-4357
And to think that for a moment I thought I was getting an interview call from the Obama (773 = Chicago) team!
Will somebody heavily fine and jail these idiots?
I have received several calls from this number, they never leave a message and i have never answered the call as i do not answer unknown numbers. I looked the number up and it belongs to a Jason Siergey at 3848 N Leavitt St, Chicago, IL 60618 there is a second address of 4135 N Hermitage Ave Chicago, IL 60613. Both addresses are listed with 773-665-4227 as the phone number. Jason also has a profile on Facebook and, if its the same Jason Siergey, has written several reviews on amazon.com for various movies. I would like these calls to stop, I hope this helps out.
Same thing, I've been getting these phone calls about auto warranty expiration for months on my cell phone. I do not have a car !
They keep calling me, too. I live in NYC and don't even own a car. Like Le Dave I ride a bike. Go Green
My husband has been getting calls daily from this number on his cell, and now they have started calling my cell also. It is so irritating!!! I don't answer any numbers I don't recognize because of this!
I am so sick and tired of these car warranty persons. They honestly call my house or my cell at least once a day, and sometimes several times. These persons, and Josh, from NNX Capitol (or something like that) need to stop calling my house. Does anyone have a trick?
Just got me too. Stupid robots.... It's quite tiring have numbers similar to these with the same message calling me every now and then, but I have just gotten used to not answering any numbers I haven't previously saved.

Just got this call on my cell. so I googled it and found this number belongs to a Jason Siergey and googled that name and found out his stuff on LinkedIn. So I called it back, 2 mins after and the phone number was disconnected.
I've been getting these phone calls (auto warranty expiration) for months (somehow its always the 2nd notice). When I finally followed the prompts and got a rep I demanded to know the name of the company as well as her name and she hung up on me. The following day I began receiving the same phone calls on my cell phone. Somehow they've got it blocked so that you can't call it back though. This is not a telemarketer. This is a scam!!!! The number belongs to Jason Siergey (773) 665-4227 3848 N Leavitt St, Chicago, IL 60618 Map
THOSE LOSERS KEEP CALLING OVER AND OVER. THEY CALL MY HOME PHONE AND CELL. THEY CALL FROM 302-224-0589 AND 773-665-4227
. WILL THEY STOP CAUSE THEY ARE PISSING ME OFF!!!!
stop calling Nov 06th, 2008
Yeah, I got a missed call on my cell from this number today, too. I tried calling back to see who it was and I get a "All circuits are busy now. Please call back later" response. Isn't there was a law against telemarketers making unwanted phone calls?
I don't even own a car. I ride a bike. Go green.
I've been getting these same annoying calls on my cell phone too. I don't answer now unless I recognize the number. Who ever it is never leaves a message.
Well, this time they used a recorded woman's voice instead of a man's voice.
Those idiots keep calling under different names but with the same message
sick and tired of it
This entity has called under various numbers but it's always about a factory warranty soon expiring on my car. I know this company has nothing to do with my vehicle purchase. once i held the line and told them specifically not to call back and to remove me from their database, but they continue to call back, on my cell no less but its usually under different phone numbers. i have a coworker with the same problem.
