I did pressure #1 and I did talk to someone who claimed to be the "manager". I stated my "legitimate" situation and as he was about to collect data from me, I pounced!!! I called him every name in the book! It was fun to let him on. So much so that I called another number from earlier in the week. Luckily I can waste their time as much as they waste mine.

They are probably spoofing the caller ID number. Call Nextel and see if it is a valid number in their switches. If valid and current, report the caller to Sprint. If not valid and/or not current, you are OUT OF LUCK. The Do Not Call list is ineffective. Another inefficient government program. We pay big $$$s to subscribe to a mobile phone company and the crooks use OUR money (both taxes and out of pocket) to spam us. VOTE CONSERVATIVE FOREVER - throw the crooks out (of DC). Then we can start with the crooks spamming our phones. The spammer is probably offshore.

I'm amazed that so many "card services" companies are calling me, in particular. I have excellent credit ratings (on all 3 bureaus), am on the "do not call list" (which is RARELY ENFORCED by the US Government, aka FTC, or for the local do not call lists rarely even prosecuted by local State's Attorney Generals.), and unlisted and have a private/blocked outcall number. It seems to amaze me on how often these calls get through to me. Literally almost everyday. NOTE - IF YOU ASK TO BE TAKEN OFF THEIR LIST, THEY ONLY WILL DO IT FOR THAT STATE'S "APPARENT" CALLER ID LISTING. THEY DO NOT TAKE IT OFF ALL OF THE CALLING CALLER ID LISTS. THIS IS NOT A LEGAL PRACTICE. THEY MUST TAKE YOU OFF THE ENTIRE COMPANY'S OUTCALL LIST. UNFORTUNATELY, THE FTC DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THIS, WHEN YOU COMPLAIN. YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK! (OR NOT)

They hang up the second you try to tell them what they're doing is illegal. I hope they get caught and fined to the point of bankruptcy!
