I got this last night cheaked my caller ID apparently they was calling all weekend. I answered and some indian woman asked for me. I said speaking. She paused for a bit there was people in background talking to her. I said what do you want. She claimed to be calling about a visa card from columbus bank and trust. Saying I owed on it. Well I don't owe on any credit cards. I've never had any with them. I said uh I don't think I have ever had a card with them. She immediately hung up. I said yep thats a scam. A real bill collector will sit and try to argue with you. Seen them argue with my brothers alot. Main reason I don't have credit cards. I learn from my brothers mistakes.
Received a call from email@example.com - my teen son took the call; scam call stating that our laptop was "generating errors" and the guy was calling to help us fix it. Tried to convince my son to log onto the laptop (funny, because we have two and he didn't say which one he was calling about) and follow his commands and type stuff in. Luckily, my son just "uh-huh'd" for a minute and did nothing to either machine, before he claimed to know nothing about computers and he'd have to call back to talk to me. Good boy. Knew it was a scam because the caller didn't identify himself, didn't identify the company he was calling from and didn't specify a particular laptop that he was calling about.

I have been getting this number calling my home phone for at least a couple of weeks now. It's coming up on my caller ID as unavailable; however, when I log into Comcast it's listed as Restricted@76.96.4. I'm sick of the phone ringing constantly with this number, so I randomly picked it up just now.
A woman on the other end said "Hello may I speak with *name*." I said I was sorry there's no one by that name who lives here (true). She then asked where she could reach that person. I told her I didn't know anyone named *name* so she apologized and said my number was to be removed from their calling list.
This could be a debt collector. I do know someone with the name she was asking for (a family member), but I am not about to give anyone information on something that has nothing to do with me.
caller is from a collection agency repeatedly calling for a Jason Cliver. Will not stop calling even after being asked to do so several times. When tried to engage in a conversation to stop calling was replied" have a nice day" and hung up.
I know for a fact it is because I dialed *57 and had the police involved. I had to give the police the 1-866- number comcast gave to me for their legal department to have the calls traced.
Someone is calling you via an operator just to bother you.. Probably some kids somewhere bored and think it's funny. Also from Restricted@76.96.8.. All operator assisted calls.
Do not call again.
Caller ID showed: "firstname.lastname@example.org". On the line was a recording of the daughter of senate candidate in Massachusetts, Scott Brown, looking for my vote. From other people's comments, it looks perhaps like a "robocaller-for-hire" operation.
I have been getting these calls at my home as well, generally when I am at work. Well, they called again last evening and I answered it. It was someone representing some Fraternal Order of Police asking for donations. I informed him that I refuse to donate to organizations that block their caller ID and asked to be removed from their call list. We'll see what happens.
Bill collectors for Comcast...76.96.4 domain is registered to Comcast....http://www.robtex.com/cnet/76.96.4.html
Received a call from this company last night, I too, have comcast. I also have a restriction on anonomous calls and yet this one gets through. I also am on the do not disturb list. I refuse to answer as I have only had this number for 2 months and already have over 200 solicitation calls in my phone logs.
Have been getting calls from Restricted@76.96.4 for the last 2 months every weekend I receive at least 6 calls starting on Saturday morning at 7am and ending on Sunday night at 9pm. I picked it up today and it was a call center with a recording that told me to please hold to speak with an operator reguarding a debt. The person on the recording had a very thick accent, possibly from India or the Middle East. At that point I just hung up. I to have tried to block this # but cannot and I am on the National Do Not Call List. If anyone knows what this is about please let us know. I am sick of dealing with this every weekend.
I finally called the FCC on this one and they have no idea who it is. They gave ME a reference number to use if I can find out anythong more and report it. A lot of good that does. They are still calling here.

More calls again last night and today. Yesterday I called Comcast my voice mail provider and talked to a nice lady who said she never heard of such a "restricted" number. Seems as though no information is available on this terrible annoyance. Next step with be the FCC.

I was so angry when writing my last post I made some typos. I am referring to "email@example.com." Excuse the mistakes.

Whoever this is ought to be shot! I have no idea either who they are and what it means. I'm fed up with these telemarketers that keep calling despite the fact that I have voice mail only and it states that to incoming calls. Either leave a message or don't call again! Desipite that fact, the calls keep coming over and over. Don't they get it that there is no ringing phone here? If they think calling constantly is going to eventually get them through to someone they are only fooling themselves. I'm sick of looking at my phone call reports and having to delete all these useless calls. The DO NOT CALL list has been a dismal failure and it's time government stepped in somehow to stop this harrassment including charities and politicians looking for votes.
The latest gimmick is for charities to hire these boiler room operations with several different numbers so you can't even block their calls. Some of them even use different copmany names and they are in fact all one lousy, stinking organization. If you call to ask that your name be taken off a list it doesn't work. The whole thing has gotten to be ridiculous. I'd like to track this "firstname.lastname@example.org down but unable to. Maybe someone out there knows the answer. They have been calling my voice mail number for months! Maybe the FCC might have an answer to what this "email@example.com means. It's infuriating.
