People, it's a telefundraising organizations located in the western or northwestern suburbs of Minneapolis (that's what the 763 area code covers); they call for whomever hires them. As people have already said, go to Strategicfundraising.com and have your number removed from their list. Filing a complaint with the "Do Not Call" registry will not help since this group is exempt from the "Do Not Call" legislation (as someone already mentioned).

If you don't want to be bothered by calls like this, don't answer the phone if you do not recognize the number/person listed on your caller ID. If you sleep during the day and don't want to be bothered, turn the ringer off on your phone.

These assholes call 4 times a day, usually waking me up (I work night shift). This has been going on for two months. Is there any way to stop it? Verizon said I had to report to police, they (Verizon) are now prevented by a new law from contacting the assholes or taking any no action.

I spoke with the party that called from this number. They are a fund raiser from the general Republican Party trying to raise campaign money for Republicans that are running for office in the 2008 elections. He was very polite and answered all my questions. I asked to be removed from their calling list and he politely agreed to do that.

Caller wanted me to donate $200 dollars to Barack Obama. He became very rude when I explained I could only afford $90 dollars. I have previously given almost 700 dollars to his campaign and I feel I have been very generous. I will not answer again.

Man, Strategic Fund, cut back on the caffiene.
All Caps is considered "shouting" too, so if you were keen to sound like a raving looney, it worked.

Your point might be better served if a person could actually get off of your list when requested.
Slightly disengenious in that each fund-raising group can provide targeted phone numbers, and a person has to be removed from each group you represent.

It's all ok, though, you are merely hastening the end of telephone solicitation, as you are encouracing people to swithc to cell and VoIP calling ,with highly flexible numbers just to not be bothered (that, and more automated equipment to screen your kind calls, too). Please continue to hang up on my answering machine. At least not leaving a dial tone prevents a false positive when I clear the buffers for "unrecognized callers."

LET ME TELL YOU IDIOTS A LITTLE SOMETHING THAT APPARENTLY IS NOT GETTING IN TO YOUR TINY LITTLE MINDS. FIRST I WORK FOR STRATEGIC FUNDRASING AND WE ARE NOT THE DEMOCRAT NATIONAL COMMITTIEE OR ENVIRONMENTAL PEOPLE, WE ARE A COMPANY WHO IS CONTRACTED BY THE DIFFRENT REPUBLICAN PARTIES TO DO THEIR FUNDRASING FOR THEM NOT TO MENTION WE DO CALLING FOR AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION, ALLIANCE DEFENCE FUND AND CANCER ORGANIZATIONS. BUT APPARENTLY YOU ALL ARE TO CONSUMED IN YOUR PATHETIC LITTLE LIVES TO REALIZE THERE ARE MORE SERIOUS ISSUES GOING ON IN THIS WORLD THAN HOW MANY TIMES YOU HAVE BEEN CALLED BY US. AS FOR THE DO NOT CALL LIST WE ARE EXEMPT FROM THAT BECAUSE ALL POLITICAL AND FUNDRASING CALLS ARE. NOW IF YOU DO NOT WISH FOR US TO CALL YOU THEN YOU CAN EITHER GO TO OUR WEB SITE OR CALL THE NUMBER BACK IF YOU WANT TO TAKE THE COWARDS WAY OUT INSTEAD OF ACTUALLY TALKING TO ONE OF US LONG ENOUGH TO ASK TO HAVE YOUR NAME REMOVED FROM THE LIST.

SFI would appear to be a fundraising company that is a hired gun for whoever is willing to pay their fee. Party affiliation doesn't matter to them. The reason we keep getting these calls is the hole in the law that political and, I believe, charitable organizations are still allowed to call, in spite of your enrollment on the DONOTCALL law.

These boneheads call sometimes 3 times a day. When I'm home, I turn off the answering machine but I think I'll begin hanging up to see if they have half a brain and can get a clue.

This is Strategic Fund Raising. They are contracted by political parties, environmental
organizations...whoever hires them to solicit donations. Yes, it's annoying to have your phone ring a thousand times a day however the thing that really bothers ME is the hatred that comes through in the comments people leave. At least the people who are calling are working and not on welfare! It's so easy to badmouth others or be rude when you can do it on-line and not have to look the person in the eye. You can disagree
respectfully without treating others like dirt.

FYI: Strategic Fundraising is a company that makes both political and non-political calls to garner donations for whomever has contracted them to do so. Those on this site who claim it is the DNC and those who argue that it is the RNC are both probably correct. I just happen to know about this company because I've made on-line donations to various causes via the Internet, and Strategic Fundraising is what comes up on my credit card bill, no matter what the particular cause or party affiliation. When they call, I usually just tell them politely that I don't answer survey questions or that I absolutely NEVER make a donation via telephone. Doesn't guarantee a call-back, but it's usually postponed a good while, anyhow! You can check them out at www.strategicfundraising.com.

Well, they've moved on from Georgia and Texas to Ohio. Headstrong woman demanded to know who I was going to vote for and I told her it was none of her business! She moved on to asking if I would take a survey. I agreed and her first question was "Who do you think would make the worst president? Hillary or Obama???" I replied that I thought the worst president ever was George Bush which didn't please her. I also told her that while I used to be a Republican, I no longer identified with that party. She said "SURELY you didn't change your affiliation to the Democrats?!!!? I told her that I was now a Libertarian and the Republicans will never get another dollar from us or from anyone in our family. (Actually, I think Jimmy Carter was the worst presi-dent ever, but the Shrub is a close second.) If The Republicans would keep Bush on a leash and pardon Ramos and Compion, I might reconsider, but probably not. Never vote for an incumbent!! The reason why the DNC list doesn't work is first, it's run by the government and they never do anything right, and secondly, all politi-cians are exempt from that particular law. Grow Up!! Don't depend on the government for anything. Don't answer if the Caller ID shows "Unknown Name"

Persistent and annoying--this outfit has called several times and failed to leave a message. I am thinking of getting IP telephony so I can program my system to reject all sorts of calls or answer with "If you wish to speak to us, you agree to pay us $20 if we decide you are a nuisance caller. If you accept these terms, press 3."

DNC HATER , nobody from this company asked you for contributions from the Democratic National Committee I can assure you of that, since all of our lists are republican. And Barbara you may want to get back into the game, because political and non profit organizations are EXEMPT from the national do not call list, ask to be put on the companies do not call list, not to terribly complicated. I hope I've saved a few lives today, even though this information is easy enough to obtain.
