I had (or still have) the same problem with collectors looking for a woman named Camille. And you're right--the account gets passed from collector to collector (kind of like an STD).
To see what I've done so far, look up 800-576-2419
So far, after the last collector, my phone has been quiet.
Maybe, finally, after more than a year, they've given up.
received three calls from this number. First one left a message on answer machine for xxxx. No such person lives at this residence. Second time they called at 6:15 A.M. !! I told the lady that there is no xxxx here -- and asked why she was calling at 6:15 in the morning. She apologized. Just got another call. I explained that I had already informed the company that no xxxx lives here and furthermore their last call was at 6:15 in the morning. The gentleman promised to remove my phone number from the record. We'll see.
This is the 4th debt collector in a row to call, asking to talk to xxxx. Interesting that they are not all calling simultaneously. I get the feeling that they are selling the debt to the next collector -- and not removing my number when they do so.
Does anyone out there have any advice?
I have recieved calls also. I did sue a couple of collection agencies and collected from them.
The collection account is sold to other collection agencies who then try to collect from you. Just keep track of the calls, then get an attorney--and sue the hell out of the collection agency. Will not cost you a cent and the colllection agency has to pay the lawyers. Good luck and go get them!!!
This is a scam! I called in the middle of the morning and the message came on that the office was currently closed!
Called my cell at 6:57am!!! Come on, that is not legal no matter what!
It definitely IS bank of america because I talked to a manager there extensively trying to iron out a problem with my account.
Hmm, if this really is BOA then they most definitely got the wrong number. I don't do any business with BOA. Not now, in the past nor in the future. It's none of my business what someone else owes and I won't pass along any messages for them.
Fast talking Mrs. Wiggins called alleging to be from Bank of America and stated my first name then provided an erroneous name for my wife. When I advised her that Uncle would be knocking on her door shortly regarding the scam she was attempting to perpetrate she immediately got defensive and hung up. When I dialed the 757-533-7007 during regular business hours an automated message stated "Card Services Our office is currently closed and to call back during regular business hours". I have no active Bank of America issued credit cards. This is a total SCAM. Advise the caller that you are pressing *58 after the call and forwarding that identifying information to both your telephone carrier, the FCC and the local authorities. Have fun with them. Tick Tock to all scam artists.

Sorry. My efforts to get "Who Called Us" to post the police address
in Norfolk, Va. which has the address to file your complaint has failed
twice. I guess you'll have to contact the Attorney General in Virginis to get the full address for you to use to report this harrassment.
Report calls to http.//.www.Norfolkgov/police/
Last message posted incorrectly. Please send

Attorney General's office for state of Virginia
advises people harassed by these calls to report
them to http://.www.Norfolkgov./police/
This should alleviate the problems we've all
had with these persistent calls.
Calls reported to Attorney General for state of Virginia.
Hopefully, this will stop this fraud for all of us.
Called at 10:41 on 8/26. Person calling from:757-533-7007. Left message saying that company was seeking "Ricky Davis". I don't know anyone by that name. The woman gave a return call number; I just deleted the whole thing, but kept a record so that if
harassment begins, I can report it to the Attorney General for the
State of Virginia and request that the data listed from all of us may
be observed by the attorney general for fraudulent practices.
The call originates from Norfolk, Zone 3, Va.
Rec'd call from 800-931-6317
January 2, 2009 6:18pm MST, 866-315-7101
February 3, 2009 12:56PM MST & February 4, 2009 10:32 AM MST, 866-484-8278
February 3, 2009 12:57 PM MST & February 4, 2009 4:31PM MST, and today February 6, 2009 10:22 AM MST all show up on the caller ID as Bank Of America. I answered one of these calls on February 4th and they asked for Michelle Booker who is someone that previously had my number, however, I've had this number since Apr 2007 and it is on the DNC. They said that since Michelle has an account with BofA that they have business with her and therefore the call is not covered by the DNC. The woman I spoke to said that BofA was offering insurance, and tried to solicit me. I told her I was not interested and to please stop calling. She said she would remove my number from their calling list but it would take up to 30 days. I guess there policy is to call twice a day to someone who already advsd they are not interested. What idiots!
Rec'd another call yesterday March 3, 2009 1:38 PM MST from ph# 866-315-7101
. After the first 6 times they call, I contacted Bank of America and had them take my number of of Ms Booker's account. Then had them opt me out of special offers on my own account, and I had already told them not to call me again, plus I had already made it clear that I wasn't interested in insurance. So why they called again is beyond me.
What I do know is that since I spoke to them on February 4th and they told me it would take 30 days for my number to be taken off their list, it will be covered under the DNC if they call me after March 6th, 2009. And you'd better believe if they do call after that date I will be reporting it.
Caller ID: BANK OF AMERICA
Caller: Bank of America Insurance
Caller Type: Telemarketer
no message just constance calling
be care full with this people they dont identyfied the selfs.
called back the 800 number they left - left them a nasty voicemail told them thanks to these websites I knew they were frauds and if they call again I will report them to the FCC & the national do not call list!
Denise Zuniga Sep 20th, 2008
we got a call from this number today too! Also said they are calling from BOA - said they needed to discuss past accounts with us - funny I don't recall us ever having a BOA account! Tried calling back the number - and of course the voice mail box is full so you can't leave a message! Nice try! I may have been born at night, but not last night!
i settled a bank of america credit card account a couple of months ago. payments were set up at that time. a payment for this month has already posted. i got a phone call yesterday from a woman who said she was with bank of america and wanted to set up a payment for the account. i said...no, that's already set up, thanks. she said, oh yes, you settled on this right? the account just came up on my computer; it's running a little slow. i told her that was sketchy and that we had no business talking anymore. i said everything is taken care of already and i had nothing more to say to her. thank you have a good day.
Bank of America collections
Today my grandmother received a call at 9:15 am. They asked for me and she said I wasn't there. The gentlemen asked when I'd be there and she said she wouldn't tell him. He said you aren't going to tell me. She said no because I don't know. She asked what this was concerning and he wouldn't say. She told him she'd take a message and give it to me and for him to give his name and number and he said he'd call back and just hung up.
I admit I do have a BoA card and had a late payment, but they call my house number and leave messages clearly stating who they are. And the number displayed on my caller ID is the same number that called her. But when I called the number back with a blocked number (*67) I was told number was unreachable. Weird!
As far as calling my 70 year old grandmother to track me is retarded. Send me a notice in the mail or call me don't harass my family members especially my elderly ones. I guess they figure she's senile and will say anything or give any info they need.
recieved 2 calls in a row, cller ID said CCS first call, second call less than a minute later showed Bank of america. Woman said they wanted to offer a way to get debt paid, said that they would except a payment of 30% of original debt. (Sounds too good to be true) She then put a guy on the phone who lowered it another 200.00 and he said that he was looking at my credit report and said that I should consider not paying another creditor that I was in good standing with for a while to get this debt cleared up. Something didn't sound right too me. told me they could hold the account open until the end of the month if I payed them 104.00. He would not give an address. Said only check by phone. Told him I am not comfortable giving banking info. (did not trust him) told me to call him at 866-667-9469
ext 66169 by monday.
This is a fradulant caller. I ask for supervisor and they always hang up. This number is a land line in norfolk, va and it is a number provided by verizon. Did reverse look and is un listed supposedly. Funny a bank I think not.
Called about 11:24 on a Saturday morning to my cell. Didin't answer but when I called the number back it stated "Customer Service voicemail" but I wouldn't alow me to leave a message. Tried to have it transfer me to an operator to identify the company, but no luck.
claimed to be bank of America
It said Bank of America on caller ID but it isn't.....they are LIARS.....DO NOT speak to them!
Ever wonder where drug addicts, prison parolees, and newly released mental patients go? They become debt collectors....oh.....that's why they're BRAIN DEAD DIRTBAGS!
A Ms. Johnson (at 866-667-9469
x 28837) claiming to be from "card services" left a message for Mamie, saying it was important she return the call. Mamie is my dog; her name is in the phone book, not mine. I called Ms. Johnson and asked why she wanted to speak with Mamie. She then started to stumble over her script and asked if Mamie or I had a Visa or Mastercard from MBNA or BofA. I asked why she wanted to know this, and she apologized for calling. I told her to put my phone number on her do not call list, but Mamie got another message from Ms. Johnson 3 days later. This time Ms. Johnson was from "Bank of America."
Phoned my office saying it was BOA for a credit card balance for someone else. Left a callback number on my voice mail 866-667-9469
Trent & John:
Besure to use the magic words "Cease and Desist" when notifying them to stop calling.
Received a call on my cell from this number. No message. Called number back and "Chris" answered identifying the company as Card Services. This is FIA Card Services working for Bank of America. They also use 757-533-7007
. I don't have any accounts with Bank of America but I believe they got my cell number from a hotel stay at Hilton Garden Inn. Since February, I keep getting calls from Hilton Grand Vacations. I'm sure Hilton sold off my cell number!
Received call from this number on my cell this afternoon. No message left. Called number and dialed *8, then 32568#. You do get to talk to a person. She identified the company as FIA Credit Services they represent many credit card companies, including Bank of America. Reported them to DoNotCall.gov.

I have received this phone call several times. They keep prying me for info claiming to be BOA. I DO have a bank account with BOA but I DO NOT have any line of credit with them. BOA says this is fraudulant, and when I called back to give em hell, they told me i was being transfered to the fraud dept. I was then transfered and an automated message said that they could not take my call at this time and then they disconnected me.
Yup, this number has called me a couple of times and I've screened it.
Trent, A collection agency can legally call you at your place of employment. You can get them to stop by notifying them in writing that you and/or your employer do no want these call made at your work number. Send it ceritifed mail so you will have proof. If they call you after being notified that the calls are not to be made, then you can take legal action against them.
To Dave: Gee you are so smart! I bet you work for this scam agency. At least they must pay you for your wisdom.
I am also receiving calls from this number. I call BOA and the number is not one of their's. They had me talk with their fraud department as the caller is NOT from BOA. I also got a letter from this place in a bright pink envelope with BOA letterhead. I again called BOA and they state they do not send customers or anyone mail in bright pink envelopes. The BOA fraud department said not to respons to this caller in any way.
A keep receiving calls from #757-533-7007, but I do no longer answer them. It's a recording from BOA stating that there's been some "activity" on my account that they need to discuss with me. I don't even use I BOA card, nor do I have an account!!!
This is harrassment!
Is there anybody I can talk to or call to report this?
Today I got my 4th phone call from this number. This time they claim to bee "Card Service" and to call them back. Same number, same names - SCAM!
I called BOA's fraud number and this is not Bank of America. Today I got a letter in a bright pink envelope with a letter inside stating it was from Bank of America. I traced the 800 number to 757-533-7007. BOA says this is a fraud and probably a debt collection agency and not to return calls. This is NOT Bank of America. I have filed two report with the FTC regarding this harrassment. As far as I have been able to research this is a call and letters being sent from Norfolk, Virginia and not Bank of America.
Caller said they were from Bank of America. I called Bank of America and they stated they never use their name in their calls and never leave the name of who they are trying to contact on voicemail. The caller that called me did both. Bank of America does not have a phone number in their system that matches the 575-533-7007
number. Anway, their fraud unit was very interested and said not to return calls to this caller.
Called my phone, twice, didnt answer both times, called back, mail box was full...scam?

Missed a call on my mobile, called back and got the same full voicemailbox. Called BofA (banking and CC), talked to the fraud department and this number is not part of BofA. Watch out!
FIRST & ONLY TIME I ANSWERED THEY ASKED FOR MY X HUSBAND OF 5 YEARS
lIKE INSTANCES AS OTHERS, CALL & HANG UP ONCE CALL IS RECIEVED...NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE
A male called and asked if I knew another male. He said I was listed as a reference. I never heard of the guy. My account is in good standing. ???
It is B of A and "Sylvia" called me twice at work after I told her I couldn't get calls at work. She denied that this is illegal which it clearly is. Screw them.
When you call this # back, a machine will tell you that you can't leave a message because the mailbox is full. Press 0 and it will tell you that an operator is not available. You will then be given options to transfer to an extension. Press *8 (*T) and enter extension 32568 followed by the # sign. This should get you a live person. Give 'em hell.
that number just called me again but again with no message. I don't have any credit cards right now I had them all paid off and cancelled so Im not sure what is going on. As I was reading through some of these comments
I got a call from this number 6/20/07 ??? I didnt answer the phone.
I don't know what good it does to vent here... but.
I called Bank of America. I explained that someone called my 90 year old mother. "Jackie" asked me how I knew... I said because I walked in while she was on the phone with them and I motioned for her to hang up. Then, Jackie asked me if I wasn't "man enough to answer the phone myself." Then, she wouldn't let me speak without interrupting, then told me I have an attitude problem. lol.
I asked for her supervisor... she said she was the account mgr... but finally transferred me to someone else... I asked the next person, who appeared to be reasonable, if she was over Jackie. She said she was... I explained how I had been treated and she apologized and said that Jackie's handling was inappropriate and would be dealt with.
Unbelievable to the nth degree.
I got calls to my business and then to my 90 year old mothers house. They don't leave a message... but they had my mother, who is getting senile, to agree to send them $60. This is outrageous.
Someone from Bank of America saying my account was reaching deadline and I hadn't made arrangements since February, need to call immediately so situation does not "escalate." THen went on to say she had "products" that could help me with this situation. Called back - automated system asked for acct no. and then ssn, didn't give either and got msg saying to call back. I don't have an acct with BOA and never have. Sketchy....
Message from "Robin", Bank of America "Bank Manager" asking me to call her back immediately. I've had calls from various people and numbers from Bank of America.
NOT SURE WHO THIS IS AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET A LIVE PERSON WHEN CALLING BACK.
Just caught a call from this number.. left no message. called the number and call a message from a machine(audex)saying messages are full. 05/22/2007

Erica from card services calling about "our relationship" and that it's IMPERATIVE that I call back immediately before any further changes are made. Call back at 877-647-9535
4 missed calls between 8:00 and 10:03 am no message left. No further calls after that either.
I got a call from the 757-533-7007 number stating that they are with Bank of America and I needed to call them back as soon as possible to avoid an "escalating situation." Afraid someone got my info and opened a Bank of America credit card I called. They were actually with my Wachovia credit card that was about to be sent to collections. Evidently Wachovia and Bank of America are with the same FIA Card Services company.
Identified themselves as BOA, calling about my Visa card $4500 unpaid balance going to collection. I don't have a BOA card and don't owe any money on any credit cards. Said they wanted to verify my address and SS#, but they had both wrong (but the right name). I did not give them information about me, just listened to them and said that this isn't me, but I'm uneasy about this call. It seems very suspicious to me that others here are getting calls from these people but don't have BOA accounts.
Thisis the Bank of America Card Services collections group. If you pay your bill then they will stop calling you.
called cell phone while i was in shower. left no message. when i called back said "customer assistance voicemail" was full.
Just like Ron, they called and ask for the last four digits of my SS#. Uhm, no? I'm not going to give that information out to a recording. If they really want me, a live person can call me. I don't even have any accounts with BOA so I'm not sure why they're calling me.
Receive 1-4 call per day on cell phone for past five months asking for Allison.

In NY - Missed call on my cell phone. Did not leave a message
Called my father's house 3 times. looking for me saying she was Mastercard. She told my father she need to talk to his wife Amanda. Hello Im his daughter! Once my father questioned her she started fumbling her words and hung up. I contacted mastercard and the FTC and I suggest you all do the same. The only way my father and I are linked is through a car loan. has anyone else taken out a car loan in the past 6 months and then gotten a phone call like this? It might be a pattern, just a guess.
No Name on caller ID, just the number. I didn't answer it, but they left no message either.
Bank of America Collections called and left me a message from this number and left # 800-842-3019
as a call-back.

Missed call on my cell 11/8/06 KP in Cali
They actually left me a message and I called that number rather than the one on the recording if you call this number back... Customer service was unavaiable
If this call is being made by BOA why would the automated msg ask fro you to enter the last 4 of your social security number? If they want any infromation from me then they will have to have a live person call. There are too many scams going on and the people that are pulling these scams have the ability to put what ever they want in the caller id. Get the number of the company off your billing statment and call that number to see what they want
