They called claiming to be Windows and that my computer was in danger.
I don't own a personal computer.
When I pressed them about where they got my number, they deflected.
It's a scam as I've read on other message boards to get you to let them into your computer. They hold it hostage, and demand you pay money or they will take all of your personal information and ruin your life.
I received a call from "Eric Miller." The number he called from was(732) 886-1460. He was barely able to speak English and pronounced my name as "Charmin." Yes, as in the toilet tissue, so I informed him where to buy it. I haven't received a call from him in a long time. Last time we spoke, I informed him to keep talking as the FBI was taping our conversation. He hung up and I did not hear from him in almost 8 months. When he calls back, I'll have another good line waiting for him. Sheesh, you'd think they would give up after a while. Persistent idiot!!

"Jack" from "Computer Service Center" calling about my "Windows Computer". Tried to string him along some, but hung up after a minute of me asking him to explain further.
