Accounts Receivable Management is a collection agency that has been in business since 1975. Accounts Receivable Management is headquartered in Thorofare, New Jersey, and has offices in Louisville, Kentucky, and Midland, Georgia. Accounts Receivable Management collects on debt originally owed to credit card companies, retail stores, hospitals, auto finance companies, and student loan companies.

According to its Web site, Accounts Receivable Management’s “commitment to service and excellence is second to none.” However, according to its track record, Accounts Receivable Management’s collection activities shed a much different light when analyzed under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The FDCPA has been around for almost 35 years. The FDCPA is a federal law that applies to every state. In other words, everyone is protected by the FDCPA. The FDCPA is essentially a laundry list of what debt collects can and cannot do while collecting a debt, as well as things debt collectors must do while collecting a debt.

According to the Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER), Accounts Receivable Management has been sued over 100 times in the last 3 years for debt collection harassment. It does not get any better for Accounts Receivable Management on the Better Business Bureau. The Better Business Bureau has processed over 70 billing/collection issues, and over 85 total complaints, regarding Accounts Receivable Management in the last three years.

Accounts Receivable Management has several telephone numbers it places debt collection calls from. Is Accounts Receivable Management harassing you over a debt?
Clair Ashmont
 May 30th, 2013
This company calls me multiple times a day, outside prescribed hours, and will not identify themselves when asked.

When I call them and ask for a letter to clarify the debt, they tell me this is impossible and become belligerent. When I threaten a cease and desist they tell me to "pay your bills" and then hang up.

This is a debt that was paid several years ago.

They are known as Accounts Receivable Tecnologies,

The messages left, back to back, were:
"I'm trying to reach you and you need to know why(emphasis on the "need to know" part). Please call me back immediately at 732-726-5692. Again my number is 732-736-5692 Its important that you call me back."
Didn't give a their name or their company name.

This company called, left a msg that they are collecting a debt...? I don't have any debt. My research bought me here, I left a msg at the CEO's #..(His Voice Mail), I explained that am going to do what I can see about suing his company for the BS calls, then I told him that everytime his office calls me, I'll call his number and tell him about it. Now, I'm going to do the research online to see what can be done about this Horse S#@&!

Fight Back!

You have the right (federal) to get their address and request in writing for them to stop calling, whether you are the person holding the debt or not. Remind them of that federally mandated law and they will stop.
 Jun 16th, 2009
Company is a collection agency representing the companies they bought the debt from. The addresses listed below are accurate as is the companies name. They are using a practice that most debt collection agencies use, by flooding website like this with comments that mention they want to "help" you fix your situation and are not bad people. They call at max 3 times a day (Michigan law says they cannot call more than that, so they have done their research) They use tactics such as calling from a different number or "unknown" listing. The message they leave is either a man or a woman in two different messages that follow the same script which is as follows: "WHY HAVEN'T YOU CALLED ME BACK YET? This is a very important business matter that pertains directly to you, this is not a sales call. Again, please have the COURTESY to call me back" it then goes on to tell the person to "REMEMBER TO CALL 1-800-xxx-xxxx"

If its so important, call me with a live human and not a pre-recorded message that gets cut off my by voice mail.
 Jun 16th, 2009
As a human being and a good citizen I think we all agree that we are obligated to pay back what we owe, running away or ignoring would not stop the calls from coming back. There are good, well educated agents who are ready to help us out of our situation, we just need to be patient and let them do what they do best - set us free from our debt.
 Mar 20th, 2009
After going through most of the postings here it looks like everyone has been harassed or annoyed. I use to deal with the same collection agency (thank God I'm finally free) but I would like to add that there were quite a lot of representative who were very decent and helpful including the supervisors.
 Mar 19th, 2009
I had the impression that the caller delivered the message exactly as it was meant to be, very professionally, thereby keeping in mind the laws of the state and the customers.
 Mar 18th, 2009
I have been getting calls from collection agencies in the past but I would say the experience I had with this particular agency is very different from the rest. They sound very genuine and professional, you can realized that you are talking to someone who is there to help you with your debt.
 Mar 16th, 2009
I don't find the caller to be rude or harassing. Rather she was polite and understood my situation, with her help I would be finally out of debt.
 Mar 13th, 2009
I have been getting calls from this number and I must say that the caller has been polite enough even while leaving messages on my voicemail. I was not offended at all as these people are helping us in a way to improve our pending debts and thereby improving our credit reports.
We should understand that these people are just doing their job as debtors like us have not paid for the dues which we owe.
 Mar 11th, 2009
I keep receiving the same message from the same number saying its urgent and not a sales call.
When I actually called back I came to know that it was not a sales call but a collections call for an unpaid debt of mine. The caller had called to update me on my unpaid amount which if not cleared in time would have affected my credit scores.
I thank the company making these calls for helping me in time to keep my credit ratings unaffected.
 Mar 11th, 2009
I got someone on the line.. gave him my phone number and he asked me if I was so and so. It was not me so he told me to hold on and then transfered me to a voice mail. Very strange.
 Aug 04th, 2008
Have recieved many calls from the 732-726-5692 and 1-800 numbers.
I got very rude messages demanding a return call.
Finally got smart and looked up the numbers on Yellow
Was shocked to see where those numbers came from.
I am so glad I looked this up and read all the responses from other
people. What can people do about this? Isn't this illegal?
 Jul 31st, 2008
yesterday, I got a harassing, vague phone call from 1-800-392-4029. The pre-recorded message was a woman and she was basically yelling in the message. This morning at about the same time in the morning, I get a call from 732-726-5692. I couldn't completely understand the man, but he used my name, and said I had qualified for a "pool" with their company and he needed info right away. He tells me to call the 1-800 number from yesterday! Why would you yell at me yesterday and tell me I have been approved for something the next day?
 May 23rd, 2008
Same as posting below. Thank you everyone for these postings! I called my phone co (SBC) and they assured me that this is definitely a scam. However they said there is no way to block the calls, so just ignore them. There are similar postings on the 800Notes website, same number. I googled it, this is a Verizon (NJ) cell phone number! Do not return the calls.
 Mar 13th, 2008
Very Similar experiance. When I called back and asked the person on the other end to Identify themselves or their company, they refused, and asked who I was. I told them that if they had no need to identify themselves, neither did I, and if they wanted to repeatedly leave messages on my phone without telling me who they were, I could easily ignore their messages. I was then hung up on, and have continued to ignore their messages. I am in no debt, and there is no reason I can Forsee that they should be calling me. If anyone can find out who they are, what they want, or how to get them to go away, please post!!!
 Feb 28th, 2008
It was a recorded message saying that the company was trying to get a hold of me, but didn't say regarding what. It provided the one 800 number 1-500-392-4029. I decided to call this number back and was on hold for about a half hour and then received another recorded message to leave my name and number to have them call me back.
 Feb 13th, 2008
This time they said "There IS a reason why I am calling you and it is important that you call back to find out why". Did not identify company or name of the person calling. Call received at 8:45PM.

Left this call back number: 732-726-5692. Needless to say, I did NOT call them back.
 Jan 23rd, 2008
I have received these messages many times before. The person who ha th number before me was a deadbeat, and they are constanly calling to get a hol of her. I have reiterated time and time gain this is no longer her number. After I finally get ahold of someone the calls stop for aboout three months and then begin again. I always go as long as I can before I get tired of the harassment and call them back. If anyone knows how to get them to stop calling for good please let me know!!!
 Jan 12th, 2008
calls regularly. a recorded message 'strongly ' telling us to call them back and gives the number to call. when we call back we get music with a recorded message asking us to hold. And it's a long long wait. We give up before they get to us.
 Oct 24th, 2007
Someone called from this number for my daughter who has not lived here for 8+ years.
Just for the sake of curiousity, I ran it through the BBB. The first bit of information is enough for me to recommend they be ignored! If the BBB can't find them, there is no way I'd send them a dime! There is even complaints unresolved because the company cannot be located! What kind of crap is that???
Anyways, go to the BBB online and enter the phone number for complete info; I can't post it all because it's too long.

Here's some of the info:

Message has come in approximately 10 times. Don't know how to stop these calls
 Sep 17th, 2007
Left a message on my pre-paid phone. No one has the number or knows it is mine. I called back just out of curiosity and they refused to identify themselves but wanted to know who I was. Very rude and hung up once I refused to identify myself. Must be some sort of scam.
 Sep 14th, 2007
My dad is in critical condition in a hospital. My 84 year old mother just received a message from this 800 Number and msg said to call back 732-726-5692 IMMEDIATELY. She did thinking it was the hospital. Entered into voice mail hell. She called me hysterical/crying thinking that my dad had died or something. I googled the number and found out it is some sort of credit collection scam. Ironically, my parents don't owe anyone any money - and never have had for about 30 years! I want to sue the crap out of this company now!
 Sep 10th, 2007
Same as the rest, received call for "urgent business matter" blah blah, call 732-726-5692. They called my work number which is unlisted... grrrr!
 Aug 03rd, 2007
I too came home today to find messages from 732-726-5692. I called and got a recording. Interestingly enough, I followed the voice mail and went into their company directory (PRESS *2). I searched for any name and got a hit and extention for someone named Tabatha Garcia "Client Services" (x185). Given that info, one could turn this right back around and start calling her back until you get a stright answer.
 Jul 13th, 2007
I started receiving messages from someone telling me I need to call 732-726-5692. I am glad I looked up web site to validate the caller is as ignorant as the message sounds on my answering machine. I will never call now! Thanks for all your help.
 Jul 02nd, 2007
I got twe calls from this no 8003924029.

Asking me to call 732-726-5692. Without leaving any info
 Jul 01st, 2007
This just started yesterday and they have called me 9 times in the last 24 hours. It is the same recording of a woman asking me to call her back urgently @ 732-726-5692. I put my cell number on the do not call list and they are calling me. I am going toreport them.
 Jun 27th, 2007
Called back several times. Put on hold for several minutes before hanging up.
 Feb 09th, 2007
I received a msg. on our home answering machine much like the ones noted above. Why would I call someone back that doesn't identify themselves. Seems fishy to me.

Do a web search and contact your health insurance company before paying anything to these folks.

Left recorded message. Did not ask for specific name and said call immediately and that the call is not a sales call. I have not returned call.

Left RECORDED messages - Did not ask for a specific name and said call immediately and that the call is not a sales call. When called them they said they work for like 30 companies they can't tell me which ones. When I said I wanted to check them out they started yelling
-pay it pay it.
Looked them up on the internet and they seem to be a collection agency for healthcare. Not aware of any health bills - certainly none in the last 10 years.

These people do not identify themselves, only say they have a "personal business matter that relates to you directly." Calling the number back is futile, no one answers.
 Nov 27th, 2006
These people have been calling me for weeks. I've also been getting calls from

732-726-5692 listed as "First Credit Sv" on caller ID

Today I had messages from them both back to back. The 800 number caller left an extention number. I called the (732) number first. I was on hold for 15 minutes, listening to painful Muzack until I got dumped into a generic voice mail box (that was full, so I couldn't leave a message).

I went to call the 800 number, where someone had kindly left a name and an extention. As I was being transferred to that extention, I heard THE SAME MUZAK!

So, it appears this number belongs to First Credit Services. I can't get anyone to answer the phone there to make them stop calling me.
